I was so excited that the installation was done. After I changed the code, try to lock it. It doesn’t lock. Can’t move any numbers. Do you know why I can’t move all the numbers at all? Thank you
Im really sorry for the delayed reply. If you can open the box, loosen the mounting screws. You may have over tighten the screws and distorted the box.
what stops me pushing a stick through the gap between gate and fence and pressing it against the latch claw so it lifts up the same way the gate lock bar presses against it when i close it?
Hi and thankyou for your question. Our Gate Lock kits contains a a latch cover. This prevents anyone trying to tamper or rerach over the gate or inbetween the post and the gate. The latch is spring loaded and it would be difficult to try and stick a stick in there to try and open the latch. If you are successful and want to prove mw wrong. Send us a video of your success. The point of having a Gate Lock is to keep unwanted people wandering in your back yard. Espseciall if you have a pool or a hot tub. By Law, a working Gate Lock is required. If the avarage adult wants to get in someones back yard, im sure they will find a way. But Our Gate Lock prevents smaller children accedetaly drowning in someones pool, or hot tub. By the time someone is fiddeling around trying to break into your back yard, they will get fed up and move onto the next one. its not a fool proof lock and neither is a pad lock. If someone is determined, they can just jump the fence, with out trying to hurt themselves, If you have any more ideas or questions, dont hesitate to post them.
@@YARDLOCK_ i did notice the over reach protection and that is indeed a improvement what i meant is in typical operation the bar portion attatched to the door will press against the latch claw and the curved shape of the latch claws front will slide upwards to allow the bar to slide past before dropping over the top forming the locking mekanism would your average person not be able to simply take a stick and press against the latch claw like how the locking bar would when closing to raise the claw then a push to the door would allow the locking bar to slide out of the claw if that is indeed the case you could protect against it by making the shroud hinged such that it coveres the entire locking mekanism from poking at as for exiting youd just need to lift the shroud press the release catch as you usually would and exit i do see how this is a restriction method rather than a security measure to keep kids out of pools over keeping unwanted adults out
@@Sarge92 The shroud is held on with 3 screws. It would be impossible to remove with out a screw driver or HAMMER ! We have done extensive testing on the lock, latch & shroud system and found it vertually impossible to tamper with.
Hi. Im sorry you are having trouble with your lock. Try setting your code above the middle or bellow the middle line. You could have accidentally set it that way. Or double check your personal code once again, you maybe off by one number. Please let me know.
Any reason why after setting my code, the dials locked up? After that, the box now does not close and the switch inside is stuck on the original position.
One possible reason could be that the code reset latch / slider, may not be seated properly. Run through the instructions on how to set your code one more time and see how it goes. Keep me up to date please.
@@copyninja2004 I'm not 100% sure. see if they can send you a replacement and be sure to be very careful in the steps when reprogramming it. they have videos on UA-cam to show you exactly step by step so it doesn't happen again.
Hello and thank you for purchasing Gate Lock. Sometimes the wire maybe frayed at the end, preventing it to go through the hole. Make sure the wire is not frayed and you can also take the second screw all the way out to help with the wire passing through the second hole.
Hi and thank you for purchasing one of our Yardlock products. One solution you could try is, Open the box and back off the 4 mounting crews. They could be distorting the box. They only need to be hard tight. Please let me know if this works out for you. Thanks.

Hi and thanks for your question. Yes, the actual lock will have to be installed on the swinging gate. Alternatively, you can reverse the hinges on your gate to have it it swing in and install the lock on the post.
Hi and thank you for purchasing one of our YARDLOCK products. The Gate Lock can be installed on a vinyl gate and post. Take extra care when installing the screws as the vinyl is thinner and the screws have less to grab onto then wood.
Hello Mathew. Thank you for purchasing one of our YARDLOCK products. The Gate Lock can be left unlocked for your guests to have access to your back yard. Just enter your personal code, close the box and the slider cover and it will stay unlocked until you scramble the code again. You can also leve the box open, so the gate will open and close freely. Please remember to close the box, scramble the dials after your guests have left.

This way the spring that was seen in the video is no longer needed. if you look closely at the latch you will notice that it is spring loaded. I hope this answers your question. I assume it can be mounted on a two panel gate where they open out just like a single panel gate that opens out?

I changed the combination closed cover now it will not open with either the factory set or the new combination?

There could be a few reasons why this is happening. Please post pics of the Gate Lock in the open position please.

Another problem could be the cable bunches up when trying to close it. Please make sure the extra cable is sitting nice and neat.
I've had the same issue. Now after scrambling it locked while it's opened. Any way to reset without knowing what combination you used?

oof. mine needed to be backwards from this, and the latch wasnt flush. and the cover immediately broke when i opened it, but yea i got it on lol.

My gate swings out....does that mean the lock will be on the actual gate door?
Hi and thanks for your question. Yes, the actual lock will have to be installed on the swinging gate. Alternatively, you can reverse the hinges on your gate to have it it swing in and install the lock on the post.

When I openy gate to enter the backyard, it swings toward me (out) not in like in the video. Can yardlock still be installed?
