Is there a chance of my hub getting broken because I made it louder or does it not effect the durability at all? And will it feel different riding my hub after that progress or will it feel the same riding on it?
Hello from my experience I've had this same hub for over 3 years and I bought it second hand and its still going as good as new it feels how it did when I first got it!
Ive been running a wasp now for one year on my bike that is og from the year it came out ( like 5-6 years ago )from my friend that I bought off him and I havent replaced the insides. Ik he doubled up on springs and its still loud. Should I replace the insides?
@@MikeyFrance I mean yeah works pretty well for 6 years of abuse at parks and street lmao. I haven't rode much since my accident but I built a second bike with same back wheel now. Hopefully back to barspins and tailwhips soon enough before the winter hits🤘 Thanks again
I noticed you don't have that rubber seal that sits around the driver any reason for that? I assumed it was to keep water and dirt out it softens the hub over time
@@MikeyFrance never had a issue without the seal? No dirt or anything getting inside? Springs breaking? That happened to me did double spring my wasp though
I can assure you this is the best way, I dont see how this would wear any quicker if anything it would last longer as putting rubber under the springs would put more stress on them

I removed it to make it louder and I’ve still got the same hub going strong

Instead of stacking metal you should just put a bit of inner tube under the pawls does the same thing and doesn’t wear as easily
