South Africa to 2030: A strategic intelligence briefing - Frans Cronje

  • This briefing is geared for senior decision makers in the private sector and government to assist them in developing a uniquely robust sense of what is happening in South Africa, why it is happening and what will happen next. It reviews the major socio-economic trends shaping the country, and distills these into four scenarios for South Africa’s route to 2030. Each scenario is presented with markers and forecasts that enable decision makers to position themselves to match likely outcomes.

Really, sewage plants not working in joburg, power blackouts, farm murders, cops asleep on the job. The situation is dire.

All of the research are well constructed and would be very reliable if the situation in the world remains the same. The reality of the world situation is that things are on the edge of major change. Thus the four predictions would prove irrelevant.

In the period since this was published over one year ago, things have become much more bleak for SA. The economy is worse overall for most in employment, and many economically viable and employable or self-employed people, mostly whites but others too, are again leaving for pastures new, as we last saw in the early 1990s.

I think that crediting the ANC for the actions of the moderate 80% in the prosperity of the country along with the idea that the ANC brought democracy, while they have quite evidently been trying to achieve the opposite is what makes me think that the stated motivation behind the economic improvement for many is slightly misplaced. Surely people left to their own devices with minimal government interference are inclined to settle into primary producers, industrialists, and workers. The more deprived they were, the more likely they are to be innovative unless education is lacking and the figure on dropouts is alarming in this respect. We have been told repeatedly that growth is hovering around 1% and not able to absorb the new generation of workers coming into the economy. I don't understand the 3% growth figures. Are those not just the percentage quarter on quarter growth figures while the real annual figure remains around 1%?

If you happen to be of European ancestry living in South Africa take a little second
You have been a danger to the well-being of native South Africa since 1652, when Jan van Riebeeck and his motley crew of worthless criminals who were crammed by the Dutch East India Company (VOC) onto boats and sent out to sea in the hope that they would never return.
They were thieves, murderers and rapists back in Europe, and when they arrived in Africa, they continued to be thieves, murderers and rapists.
By the time Van Riebeeck left South Africa in 1662, he had sown the seeds of apartheid that continues to harm the native population in South Africa.
If for some raison d'être you realize you can not respect the country that gave refuge to your ancestor and live among the Rainbows Nation .......Then Don't Let The Door Hit You On The Way Out of Africa.

It is Unjust and Greedy so called south Afrikaners why the ANC is making policies that go against them because the Gentile people always cater for their own race being economically developed and avoiding the black skin people out of development. The ANC is a symptom of what is happening is south africa. The Gentiles are always an economic stumbling block for the black people's financial development.
