I love reading old 10 and 12-cent Superman comic books. If only I hadn't been born in the late 70's to be old enough to see Christopher Reeve in the early Superman movies (they affected me for life!). Oh, and that Batman is nice too, ha.
Hi Jim, for what you paid for the lot I think you got some pretty nice books. I love those old Adventure Comics with the LoSH. The Flash book is nice, also. Every race beween the Flash and Superman is iconic. Thanks for sharing.
I just watched a video from Ryan at automated comics on how to get deals and where to find them. Sometimes live auctions. You should check it out. Typically he only gets precode horror books but this time he got some golden age superhero books.
How's your '72 collection coming along? I'm working towards the '67 DC books with the checker board top as there's some nice keys from that run and year of my birth.
That Marvel Frankenstein looks awesome. And the Dell Frankenstein looks like a pretty good book. Not a bad gamble there. And I always love old Batman books.
I would be happy with all those stacks of comics you have behind you there. I don't even care what they are 😂. That flash and Frankenstein are great finds.
Yay, 3000 subscribers! Well done Jim, quality content like yours attracts viewers. I love Marvel's monster titles, both colour and b/w; and as they weren't hot items when I was assembling my collections, I had the luxury of time to find the issues I needed in the condition I wanted. There's some good reading in all those Silver Age comics and the Jerry Lewis issue with Batman, Robin and The Joker will be fun, you can tell just from the cover. Dell's Frankenstein is one of the more oddball titles put out by that publisher. You're definitely ahead with this collection: three important comics plus a bundle of cheap superhero issues which will certainly sell.
Personally take the Batman book and open the staples and swap with one around that same number range that wouldn’t hurt your feelings. I’ve had coverless books I keep for that reason specifically. Also would be the best time to wash the cover and insert in a uv light to whiten the whites and make it pop.
Just soap and water. On some books I use gloves as they easily get fingerprints. Haven’t had a problem with my hands on the books, sometimes you need to be able to feel the covers for imperfections.
Hi, Jim. I doubt Marvel would integrate Frankenstein or Drac into the MCU for the reasons you stated (public domain). Just my opinion. Those look like fun books in that lot but many of them look like readers copies. I hope you didn't pay a ridiculous amount for the lot.
Great books. Love that you spend some time with DC
It's always worth it lol! Great video man
This channel has one of the best opening sequences in the game
I buy all of the Jerry Lewis and Bob Hope books that I can find…love them!
Nice video! More great books. Great video!
Heya, excited to win the giveaway
Awesome books! Nice ebay pickup!
Always liked that scarecrow cover
Congrats on 3k!
Nice buys.
Very nice lot purchase! Have seen a lot “unique” online lots and this is one of the best 🦾💰
Really enjoy your videos keep up the good work
Love The Flash book.
Definitely cool finds though.
Another cool video jim.

Great video as always.
Your whatnot shows are great 👍
Awesome lot again
Looks like a solid lot.

I think you got a good deal. But I am biased- I love the old DC books.
Great information

I think you got a great deal. The 1st scarecrow paid for the entire lot.
I like that scarecrow book. I always dream about getting a decent sized lots of books from ebay but I'm too cheap to place high bids.
Favorite pickup was probably the Frankenstein
A couple of cool books and some fun oddball oldies. That Frankenstein cover is pretty cringe....lol
It is a weird one.
I love buying old lots you never know what you'll get .if the price is reasonable

You did well enough on that lot for sure. And love that Frankie book.

There are people who remove staples and clean them to replace or replace with staples from a book of similar age.
I know. I’m not one of those people. Although I am willing to learn. The problem is that the rust has damaged the paper so I’m sure CGC would notice.
I've gotten lucky on a few Ebay shops
Even though you "did it again", it worked out for you! Good job! Just wash your hands hahahaha
great video
I think you had some runs Batted in with those books.

I'd be interested in a video of the things you plan to do with that Scarecrow book to, hopefully, bump the grade.
love your content, especially the DC stuff.keep up the great work
Probably worth the risk given your pressing/cleaning skills are improving
Only done a lot buy once I'm always scare I'll just get junk or something I already have
Nice comics in there mate
Seems like a very solid lot if you’re willing to invest time in rehabbing a few books and in waiting for the CGC process. Thanks for rescuing these!
Cool pickups you got. 😀👍
i didn't know there was a way to clean rusty staples ?
Keep up the videos

contest entry. fingers crossed!
Do you have a routine to make sure your hands are clean and dry before handling your books?
Just soap and water. On some books I use gloves as they easily get fingerprints. Haven’t had a problem with my hands on the books, sometimes you need to be able to feel the covers for imperfections.
@@bronzevillecomics2581 interesting, thanks!
Hello, a TCG seller here, looking to get into comics. Any thoughts on comics being added to the TCGplayer marketplace?
Hi, Jim. I doubt Marvel would integrate Frankenstein or Drac into the MCU for the reasons you stated (public domain). Just my opinion. Those look like fun books in that lot but many of them look like readers copies. I hope you didn't pay a ridiculous amount for the lot.
U take lots of gambles, u usually do well.
how come no one tries to sand the staples to remove the rust?
On graded books, CGC will likely pick that up.
Looks like white pages.
who are the winners your waiting for?
🙂
I typed this with a dogs paw
I would not have bought them, especially given your trepidation about buying eBay lots.
It’s pronounced Frahnk-in-steen
Do you also say "Frohd-rick"?
@@dngillikin no. It’s Fredrick. Fredrick Frahnk-in-steen
