It's always great to see a real pilot showing off his skills in the simulator. As for the missions, I find them extremely segmented and linear, they don't let you choose your own path like you would in real life, so I find the NeoFly app much more appealing.
Just a little tip if you run into a scenario where the target isn't in a safe landing zone. You can find a safe place to land and walk to the target using the avatar mode. Once you get near them it will trigger the pickup.
@@cptairwolf I had a situation last night where the person decided to pitch their tent on a sheer cliff face surrounded by trees. Literally nowhere to land near them, so I landed at the bottom of the cliff and began to walk up, and I failed the mission for abandoning my aircraft. So even if you land and walk, you have to be very close.
Same mission I did today and yes, I wish they could be more nice with some better landing sports. Great video! I have also noticed that if you flying a little high and can't see the smoke, the missing person are giving signals with a mirror or something like that.
Thanks for the Tip on the mouse cursor losing focus , That was doing my head in.Cheers. I feel the Helicopters don't simulate the load/weight like they did in 2020 When I had a full load to move using neofly4 mission the chopper really struggled to lift off but in 2024 it doesn't appear to make a difference. How has your experience been @Rmag and anyone else?
I think I found the perfect video to ask some questions. I'm now 8 minutes into the video, and what you do is exactly what I really want to do too. I just ordered some new PC parts, not as good as yours, but they should be able to run MSFS 24. I'm getting the 4080 Super with the i7 14700KF and also 64 GB of RAM. I'm missing experience with VR Gaming on PC (only tried on PS5 before), I'm an absolute beginner with MSFS (only flew in Google Earth before :D) and I don't have any special physical hardware / controller for a flight sim (I do only own a steering wheel for racing games). So my questions would be if you could be so kind to share what your setup is in kind of: - VR Headset, - The software you need to run MSFS in VR, - And your external controllers. I mean, you need different hardware for helicopters compared to airplanes. Maybe it's a bit too much to get both. But since you're a real heli pilot, do you have both hardware for planes and helicopters, or do you only fly with helicopters? Thanks in advance :) Edit: Just visited your channel and found out about your setup videos. Do you still have any recommendations on what to get as a beginner, I don't want to spend too much money. (The PC parts were fairly expensive already :)
Ik it’s a game buuut high and low recon then steep approach avoid VRS you can go that slow as long as 300ft or less descent it’s a REALLY loooong steep approach but 🤷 but if your just in it for fun 180 auto in 😂 I fly guimbal and r44 btw lol
@ r44 for longer stuff ik it gets a bad rap but if you know the machine it’s safe plus it’s way more comfy 😂the guimbal is a perfect trainer for students imo but im still lower hrs just finished up my cfi in Aug working on cfii atm although i have heard the arguments for the Schweitzer
@ I did all my training in a S300. Slow but you really learn throttle control. No governor. So it’s like flying the R44 in manual mode. I have maybe 3 hrs or so in the R44. Did my Heli IFR in a Bell 407. Obviously completely different league. Haven’t flown heli in a couple years now though. Been flying to go places which is better suited to fixed wing speeds!

Never heard a real helicopter pilot call rotor blades "props - 19:07"....😂

Nice video! What helicopoter sim hardware do you use?
Yeah, what are you running for controls @Rmag?
did they ever get the trim to work

It baffles me they didn’t model a transponder on their default H125 😅
Almost a search & rescue x2 at 17:21 lol
