That’s a great idea to switch things on low! I actually had the mission pop back up the next day so I attempted a different strategy. There’s a spot just north of the tent that will let you reach the ground. It’s like a strange hover while the animation plays. But certainly not a ‘proper’ solution. Hopefully the patch update yesterday fixes some of these things.
the rotor break is only to slow down the rotors when they are free spinning after the engine is shut down. IRL you would never turn the break on with the engine running.
Sometimes we do rotor brake starts. We also do idle speed leakage checks with an engine on and rotor brake is applied. Neither time are we flying though for obvious reasons lol
You got this! The mission actually popped up got me again, there’s a spot low next to the guys tent that you can hover down into the trees and get it to count. Just be extremely steady and don’t vary the throttle during the cut scene.
I’ve been loving the Heli stuff. The S&R you’re dealing with quite a few bugs though. Hopefully the patch this week fixes a bunch of it. And very nice! They’re beautiful dogs. Ours is a Aussie, very vocal for stream 🤣
It’s so brutal. I finally completed it then randomly it shown back up the next day 🤣 I think the User Sim error it gave meant it didn’t count. I have since had a bunch of new ones unlocked that have a far more appropriate landing area.
I wish my MFS 2024 sessions were as smooth as yours. I dropped the game because of frustrating bugs that ruined my career experience. Hoping that patches will come sooner than later
Apparently early this week there’s going to be a patch with some large stability improvements, fingers crossed it makes a difference. I just got a new batch of Search & Rescue Missions last night that seem to be much smoother. They even had clear landing areas 🤣
@@MrPostie for now, my h125 just launches into air, ATC not responding, stop and hold places in the middle of the grass field and critical ones (plane breaking, incorrect navigation punishments while everything was ok), basically I am flying smoothly, but I have D rating and every time I climb out of it it goes back down Sorry for mistakes, English is not my first language
Your English is fantastic! And that sums up my experience also, but it’s been a very mixed bag and really depends on the mission I’ve selected. The navigation punishments are so annoying though, using your flaps on landing I’ll get 2 penalties… they should just remove the penalty system until it’s working properly.
@@MrPostie they will def. fix the bugs, the only thing I wonder about is how long will it take. Also, a lot of bugs happen frequently and almost immediately, so I have no idea how it went to release. It is Microsoft, they have testers... just how it went live?
Yeah 100%. My guess is they had a deadline to hit and they decided to push it out without proper testing. But some of the missions feel like they’re fully AI generated. Like no one considered where things were actually placed.
I Switchen everything on Low that there was a spot more or less enough for the chopper ,Fauna,Trees,Bushes. No Way to Land in that Mission

Oh no! I had bugs come up in mine that forced me to restart it a few times. But it was always past the intro sequence. Maybe try a fresh install?
