Joey Diaz recently threatened a man's family for making fun of him. Marc vaguely complained about lower standards in comedy. I went to a comedy show with coworkers at Gotham comedy club and I forget who was on but they all crushed and everyone had a great time. One of my coworker didn’t laugh once when we asked why after the show he was like “theyre not funny, i like the Bert kreischier the machine”. Guy was nice but dumb as a rock
There’s a good book called The 22 Immutable Laws of Marketing. And long-story short: it’s never the first product or brand in a category that dominates the category. It’s the one that comes after. MySpace was first, but Facebook owns the social media space. Marc Maron’s podcast was first but JRE owns the podcasting space.
Jealousy and Bitterness is basically Maron's brand. It's not that big of a deal when you get to know his comedy style a little bit. There's almost an integrity to it that is endearing. Judging him by human standards is a mistake. He's an enigma.

Idk if you’ll see this but I just have a suggestion for the channel. The playlists are from newest to oldest videos rather than oldest to newest, which makes watching them in chronological order kind of frustrating. It might be worth re-arranging them to be oldest to newest to make it a seamless viewing experience since UA-cam apparently has no “reverse playlist order button” for some reason.

Not really a Mark Maron fan but what he said is true. Bert’s comedy is a show based around a character, but the comedy isn’t exactly side splitting. Having lots of energy doesn’t make up for lukewarm jokes time and time again
You're absolutely right that normally Rogan would say to Bert, "Just ignore the noise." But he does have personal beef with Marc and so instead pointed it out to Bert to say, "He's not your boy." Anyone else saying something like this, he wouldn't have bothered pointing it out to Bert.

Joey Diaz recently threatened a man's family for making fun of him. Marc vaguely complained about lower standards in comedy. Marc is a little bitter but has always had a bit of the "bitter loser" personality that he actually is able to capitalize on in his standup brilliantly. People that care about quality tend to become annoyed with seeing an onslaught of BS in the media. Whatever, man. As everyone said, he could have been talking about a lot of people. Marc being a little pretentious over people making art that most people would also agree has become more superficial and lazy is whatever. Sometimes pretentious people are like a check against a constantly lowering bar. I'd add that people like Bert could never change if they never got got hit with criticism that upset them anyway. We already know that Bert having his ass kissed has not helped his comedy.

Idk if you’ll see this but I just have a suggestion for the channel.
The playlists are from newest to oldest videos rather than oldest to newest, which makes watching them in chronological order kind of frustrating. It might be worth re-arranging them to be oldest to newest to make it a seamless viewing experience since UA-cam apparently has no “reverse playlist order button” for some reason.
Maron is the king of Podcasts and he doesn’t talk shit about people on his show. Look at the guests he has on a weekly basis. Top tier. And he’s right about these halfass Netflix standup specials.
