+Hovenko I have finished the main story 2 times now and I just keep watching trailers every now and then. I absolutely love the world and story. I'm actually so sad that I don't have anything to do with the game anymore... Most of the side quests are too boring for me after the main story has ended... Soooo depressing. Almost every character dissppears after completing the main guest.
+Smuls son I felt the same way - side quests too boring to do when game is finished, so now I'm on my 2nd playthrough and try to do all the sidequests in Velen before moving on to Skellige. Not sure if I will 100% Skellige, it is soooo much boat-riding and sooo many Harpies that attacks the boat so it all just turns out to a huge frustration-challenge instead. :D
But it feels a bit "sad" when the game is over, because "you" kind of don't want to leave the Witcher 3 world and story. :D

I've beat this game and its expansions nearly and year ago and this trailer STILL gives me goosebumps! I never played the first 2 games but I always try to imagine how this trailer must have felt for the people that have been eagerly awaiting the 3rd Witcher game. What an amazing, epic game.

I agree, he would have had much greater impact sitting on his throne. Likewise, I wonder if the scenes from the trailer that werent in the game (all the witchers together with the dead monsters, each on slaying monsters, the burning village, ect.) were cut content or just scenes made specifically for the trailer so they could show things without giving away parts of the game.

yeah but in this trailer cut, that scene is from the vgx trailer, the actual scene in the game sucks compare to this, and the eredin's armour sucks to comparing to the armour in the trailer, also the whitefrost in the armours in the actual game looks a little bit bad for me, don't get me wrong I LOVE THIS GAME, but they changed a lot in the end :'(
I prefer the one in the game, it makes more sense, though I think this was just for the trailer, not sure if they ever intended the meeting to be like that.

Wilky Balls Well if I judge yennefer's look by the books she should not look just cold and mean. Yennefer is described in the books as: stubborn, proud and complex character. But I'm totally fine with this new Yen. You're right that Triss is better in this one. But to be honest I haven't played earlier Witchers, Witcher 3 was my first but I read books before playing WItcher 3 and Triss doesn't even play so important part in books so I can't understand why is she even that important in Witcher 3. Yen's and Geralt's love story is almost nothing :/

I watched the livestream and during this my jaw literally dropped. This hasn't happened for a LONG time. This is all ingame footage. And there's Ciri, there's Emhyr var Emreis voiced by Charles Dance, there's Vesimir and Lambert and the others... I just can't wait for this!
Don't get too excited, every developer claims they are showing "in-game footage" yet when the game releases it looks awful compared to the original trailer.
Vycrance I see you are not familiar with CD project. I mean, of course the console versions won't look this good, but the PC version will, if you have the system for it, because CD project is a PC focused developer. By the way, I'm way more interested in the story than anything else.

Man I was hella late to Witcher 3 but in 2021 I gave it time to get attached to the story. This game is a masterpiece. Immersive, amazing dialogue, dope and unique combat, memorable characters, legendary soundtrack, and so much replay value and hours and DETAIL. Favorite game and on my 5th playthrough

When I first saw this trailer. I felt like CDPR had lost their touch. There's no way they have packed so much cinematic storytelling and role playing into a 60$ game as shown in this trailer. It was unheard of and frankly a game studio would be stupid to put in so much hard work while the other AAA studios aren't doing even 10% of this. I thought this trailer was the biggest lie. It can't be this amazing.
Fuck me was I wrong. The game turned out to be exactly this and fucking even better than this. I was blown out of my mind. When I finished blood and wine I was done with playing RPG games for like a year or two until RDR2 came out. Nothing came close. I remember getting AC4 for free on Xbox gold at that time and I started the game and literally felt a dread of existential crisis after doing the first few missions. No game was gonna come close to this shit.

I was only about 10 when this came out back in 2015, so I didn't really hear of it.
When I first got into storytelling video games I got Assassins Creed Odyssey and thought it amazing, but little did I know 6 months later I would buy the best game ever for a fucking tenner. Jesus, felt like I robbed them after finish it
I agree, absolutely incredible game.
Cyberpunk scratches a similar itch, but doesn't quite hit the mark- not speaking of the bugs (did you play TW3 on launch? Roach the demon horse is real)- but the story felt too short and a little disjointed.
TW3 just interweaves all the narratives together and one quest often leads to the next. While CP's quests are also varied and interesting, it doesn't flow from one place to the next. You don't finish one and then it turns out a new NPC is there, asking about some errand or another. Night City is... hands down probably the best game city I've had the pleasure to see in high settings, and definitely not empty assuming you have the hardware to actually run the blasted thing, but it doesn't _feel_ quite right.
CP is also too short. The story is way, way too short. The characters are great, but there just isn't enough. It's like the game is missing part of Act 1 and most of Act 3.
I also want transmog, and a hair salon or whatever to re-customise my char... hoping those will be added as DLCs.
P.S. I took about 3x as many screenshots in CP as in TW3. First person + the gorgeous views just had me spend hours in photo mode. Murder on the CPU and GPU, that game...
Just played this game current year, and I can wholeheartedly say that it's one of THE best games I've every played. It's so addicting that it made me buy all 8 books and binge read them for months.

I understand that everyone's opinion and taste is different. I really respect that. But after playing videogames for 25 years, I've got no choice rather than to admit that this game is perfect! Yeah, I know, the battle system and controls could be slightly better bla bla bla, but if you look at all the things, that CD-Project Red did right, it's perfect. I'm not only talking about the graphics or the size of the game. It's beauty lies in its many details. Such love for details in every town, every landscape. So much melancholy. The soundtrack is absolutely phenomenal. I've never heard such expressionary orchestra music like in Witcher 3. It goes right under your skin, it moves me. While the story is "only" very good, the characters and their development is outstanding. Brilliant. And on top of that, what makes Witcher 3 so special is that it's from a formerly small and independent team like CD-Project Red, who throwed everything they had into this game. No 08/15 EA- and Activision bullshit, no DLC-tricks, etc. You can feel their feelings, their ideas floating through the game that it's almost killing me. Brilliant. I'm still pretty young. But I promise: When I'll die in 40-50 years, I'll definitely remember Witcher 3 as one of the best game that was created. Ever. As a big Nintendo fan until around 10 years, I could never imagine a game that blows me away like Ocarina of Time did in 1998. For me, OoT was always the best game of all time and I was sure it would always be (from a sentimental view of course, many games today are naturally better objectively seen...). But Witcher 3 killed that. Right now, it's my Number 1 of all-time. And it's possible, it will be for a long time. Thank you CD-Project Red. Thank you Poland. What you've done here... I really don't find the words to express, only my honest gratitude. Thank you.

They’re the opposite of EA. Not only did they create the best game but made 2 awesome expansions with even more side quests that came with the GoTY edition. So many companies sell you half the game and sell the other with DLCs/expansions but not CD Red. I try to think of my favorite thing about it. Voice acting, gear, abilities, side quests, story. It’s all my favorite haha

Open two tabs (on the laptop, wouldn't work in mobile devices) and tune into Sword of Destiny Main theme in one and Witcher Netflix main trailer and just play it at the same time. (of course, there'll be a slight 1-2 second variation, but still works great!! Trust me, I've tried it myself!!)
Once in a while, there are some games, I wish I could replay for the first time.
This is one of those games.

Agreed. Somehow picked this up for £12. Just Epic. The size of it. The Plot. The freaking soundtrack. I was becoming just a little immune to the wonder of the game - and then I started Blood & Wine. Jaw dropped. Also this is a fantastic trailer.
