The Anticipation has been growing over the past few weeks and I finally got to ride and review the Sherman S! And despite it being now one of the slower wheel I have ridden, it completely blew me away and for someone who's rather obsessed with speed. Its quite the surprise and I'll tell you why!

Wish I was 30 years younger! This looks like the top tier wheel at the moment. I'm 75 and ride an S18 barely but have a ball when I do. Body parts are more like chinaware instead of the silly putty of youth. But DAMN, I get excited w/ the progression of wheels, and this video is just so impressive as I follow you and others just getting on the SS. Big smile from ear to ear. Thanks Sean - ALWAYS enjoyable to watch you.

Same old talk about speed and performance but what about service , how easy is it to change the tyre without taking everything ! apart ? When comes the wheel where you can change batterys on the fly and keep on going ? How Waterresitant is it ? A little rain or deep pools of water? I got a cutout on my old tesla in the rain once and that cost me a broken hand . So i still waiting for the amphibious wheel .😀

You said the specs of the wheel weren't exciting, but honestly im super excited that they're iterating a new wheel on tech that was safe and already works. Gives me a peace of mind that theyre using something that they know works instead of going for something crazy new.

Hsiang, thank you for this video. A year and several months ago I ordered the S-20 (22), then changed my mind for several reasons and moved my deposit to the V13 but, a week ago I moved my deposit to the Sherman S. This video, with your non-stop giddy smiling, has made me even more excited to get this wheel. Thanks again and be safe!

I've been waiting for this review for a while. Seems like this is the wheel to get. Love that big smile on your face. Can't contain that excitement.
I hope Veterans next wheel is something that competes with the Begode T4, a smaller lighter wheel with a solid build with this kind of suspension would be such a game changer for my commute.

we can tell you really enjoyed riding that Sherman S. I don't think I have seen you in any other videos before where you have ridden out an entire song without talking lol... once again an excellent review. Now that is a very nice wheel, every time the rear mudguard came into view I keep thinking of the Ninebot Z10.

I'm one of the curious ones grabbing the Sherman S 2nd batch as my first wheel! 👋
Mostly because I know I'll procrastinate for years on upgrading if I don't start strong!
@@trevorthieme5157 Almost everyone who has taken on a heavy advanced wheel as their first wheel has severely regretted that decision. I feel that this disclaimer should be prominent (on EVERY video touting the latest and greatest) that this should NOT be your first wheel.
Learning to ride in the best of circumstances is a challenge even on the smallest wheels out there. Luckily there's almost enough time before the 2nd generation so that you can change your mind.
I've had 4 used wheels thus far and regret none of them; during that time I've been tempted to buy at least 6 different releases and am happy as hell that I avoided ALL of them! Learn on a $250-$800 used wheel and you'll come to understand the level of maintenance and regard that is needed to fully enjoy the sport.
There are tons of used wheels on the market if you look, get help picking the best choice from your local experienced rider's group. I guarantee you'll get more information than you could ever attain on your own. Good Luck.
I have been loving my V12HT but i think I should have got the Sherman S as my first wheel. It seems to have everything I'm looking for now.

I too really enjoy the smile and thorough review. I have followed your channel for years and you provide so much knowledge to the e-wheel community, and do iti in such a fun way to brighten the day. I have a couple of King Songs and a Veteran Sherman. I am so satisfied with my current wheels it is going to take a special wheel to get me to invest in another but this may be the one.

Hsiang, it was cool as hell 😎 . To see how much you truly enjoyed your experience on the S!!! I can't wait until mid December to get mine from Ewheels.
I will probably stick with my OG Sherman for now, and see what comes out next year. It's an awesome wheel, and I am in no hurry to replace.
I have a feeling Begode adopts this type of suspension in future wheels, since its 3rd party. I'll also wait to see if Veteran updates their Sherman Max with this new motor, since its still a popular wheel, and maybe moves to the 134v system next.

I like the idea of the Sherman S with the suspension. I think the suspension is an extra added layer of safety. The OG is simply faster and lighter and reliable

After the Ss and the v13 get punished by the American market for about 6 months, I'm for sure buying one of them.
I've only owned 1 wheel (S22) the price difference between the 2 wheels is $2000(CAD). I've easily pushed the S22 to 46mph/74km/hr without even realizing it and it still had power to spare (not recommended). With the CNC suspension upgrade ($200) Tire Upgrade (Shinko 244 $60) and now more reliable Motor you're looking at $1700 difference. So you get a metal case, more battery, and an extra 30lbs in weight. As well as a more complicated less customizable wheel in the Sherman-S. I have no doubt the Sherman-S is a great wheel but Price it at $5000 CAD and you'll get my recommendation.
I cant speak to the value of this wheel since a dollars means different thing to everyone. And the S22 is a great wheel, BUT the Sherman s is better
@@OWGAC 100% a Toyota vs Lambo, take price out of the equation and there's no contest. the Lambo IS better, it is what it is.
@@OWGAC still not worth the price difference.. I'll take the s22 with the cnc sliders over the Sherman. Sherman is way over priced for what it is.. also that suspension will be a b**** if you have any problems.
@@MONOVIBEs2KX Lamborghini doesn't have imperfections. If there's anything you think veteran could improve better on this wheel, it's not perfected to it's ideal usage and customer. If you're going to buy new pedals because these underperform, the true cost of this wheel increases.

I love the stability of my Sherman Max. Not sure my 145 pound 64-year-old energy level could handle 100lb of wheel. Very impressive NYC riding skills - wet leaves, painted pavement, metal manhole covers - yipes!
My 330 pounds envies the though of being 145 on an s18. There's an 88 y.o. could in Europe whom are avid riders. The future is bright w.r.t. PEVs.

I hope to get one someday. Perhaps in spring. It's just so pricey. I wish I would have held off on buying my last wheel. I've put 600 miles on it. I'm half tempted to try and sell and upgrade. Many people steered me away from getting a Sherman or a master. I got a v12. It seemed like a good compromise. Plus the waterproofing is a great selling point.I took to riding very quickly and now I'm left craving for more.
I love my V12 HT as my first wheel. I will still ride it, but I just got a Master 50e, but I will have to wait till spring maybe to ride it since there is snow all over the ground. Got the Grizzla farings on it and the clark seat and bumper and some Sai red trail pads. It looks so dope. Might have to get some Grizzla Big pads for it though. The Sai red trail pads are narrow at the bottom, maybe too narrow for my high top shoes. My V12HT is such a sick wheel though, so torquey and nimble, durable. Maybe lacking a little bit in top speed, but I prefer quick acceleration and torque in city and trails anyway. Exciting times in the EUC industry. The Master Pro's 200km of predicted range is very enticing. The Sherman-S suspension looks awesome. The Inmotion V13 modular design sounds great. All three of the new heavy suspension wheels are going to sexy. Which one to get will be based on one's personal preferences.

Great video, I'm told that the 100 vs 134 volt question was a deliberate choice to maintain Sherman-like range. I think that was a wise idea, I personally would prefer the 25 or so extra miles of range over 5 more mph top speed.
Definitely yeah it will be fun to gun down the road 50+ miles an hour but when it dies in like 30 minutes, will you still be having fun??😂

I had a deposit on the V13 Challenger and have since transferred it to the MTen4 instead. I want more time on smaller wheels and time to ride with my daughter too!
I love the Sherman Max and S models and will probably buy an S for my first suspension wheel, unless InMotion releases a V12 HT w/ suspension!

Great feedback on the Sherman S! Thanks for the insight about the Sherman S not being Beginner Friendly. I've been looking at EUCs for a while now but haven't taken the leap yet. I have this idea about jumping right into the deep end as you mentioned. Which top dog EUC would you consider to be Beginner friendly for a 6'3" 250lb rider who is seeking the highest speed and biggest battery?

I just bought my first wheel and considered (briefly) waiting for this wheel to arrive on our shores but decided against it. The biggest consideration and detracting factor was the weight and cost. My plans for it’s use involve a fare amount of trail riding here in the PNW. I did end up with a suspension wheel that your video played a part in my decision making process.

The Sherman S looks fantastic. The only thing I am concerned about is tire change. Eevee's teardown video gave me the impression that a tire change is a several hour endeavor.

Thanks for the video and your thoughts Hsiang! I was curious about the Sherman S but in all honesty, while a very beautiful wheel, it just looks like a much pricier side grade to my Begode EX20S HS, which I've had no complaints in terms of performance (including torque), comfort, and ride feel. With more 134v wheels coming out, it'd be hard pressed to buy a new 100v nowadays,much like how even the nicest 84v wheels paled in performance to 100v wheels as they became more widespread. I'm looking at batch 2 Master Pros and the EX30 coming out next year.

Oh man... This wheel so far checks every one of my boxes and is going to be my next wheel IF the release goes smoothly. Unfortunately, the way things have been going recently that's a very big "if". I've got hope though, the Max seems to be free of any serious issues so maybe they've learned from their failures with the Abrams and prioritized QA.
I think in general Veteran wheels saw a lot less issues compared with all the other brands in recent history, it does feel like they fixed a lot of the issues from all prior models (like the rim) so hopefully, keeping my finger crossed!!

Best 100V doesn't say much since this year all the other wheels are 124V or more... And they costs way less
LOL yeah I sort of worm my way out of that, but I do intend to do a more direct comparison between the Master and the Sherman S!
Just a shame the two shocks aren't connected with strong metal frame in between. This will hurt the longevity of the wheel.

Daaamn and i was thinking the new inmotion v13 will be the king of the hill, potentially. Now i can't decide which one i'm going to get next spring.
Alright, I want one. Small things that bother me : 1) pedals ! Come on Veteran, shave 1 to 1.5mm on the edges so that we have better grip or even better, make a set of pedals with removable spikes.
2) Range before hitting 76v (I know, you cam access down to 72v in the menu) seem to be a lot lower than the Max (not surprising due to 200w added on the motor and the added weight) from Adam comments and someone local to me that received a Sherman S not that long ago. Something like 15 km less of conservative riding.
got to test ride V13/S22 Pro/Sherman S today. ABSOLUTELY no contest, I want A ShermyS
