- King is the 21st person to ever be diagnosed with Beare-Stevenson syndrome. His Mom was told he would live for only seconds but he is now six years old. Although he is not yet able to speak, King's sister is happy to be his advocate.

What this channel, probably quite rightly, does is over egg the positives.
My profoundly disabled sister broke every family member one way or another. All 3 siblings had / have some neurological issue. On top of that I've suffered 35 yrs of multi substance addiction, stemming from legit prescriptions.
I challenge Chris to find me some positives in my life.
Despite my personal negative attitude, I applaud Chris for the massive positivity and knowledge he spreads.
Great work chap, the world could use more of you.

Wow, that's horrible that a nurse was negligent! Some nurses don't take their job seriously. She was being kind. As a nurse, you either take your job seriously or you are negligent! That being said, the love for this child is beautiful...
Sadly some are in it for the money which is so heartrenching

Such a honest mother and the most well behaved compassionate children
I wish they would go more into detail about a person's condition. The reason King has some of his issues is because a nursing facility didn't take proper care of him. I know they mention it but it is so little that people might not make the connection. Lack of oxygen to the brain caused him to have a heart attack. This happened because the nursing facility did not properly take care of him
which is infuriating!!

So someone's negligence cost him his ability to communicate how he used to...that's terrible!! You cant tell this mom loves her children with everything in her.

Ebony is the epitome of an angel. She is SO mature and I'm so amazed by her speech and knowledge. She's so well spoken, and I can tell that their Mom is a stellar parent and teacher. They're respectful, loving, protective, all the traits a sibling could wish for.

They are a fantastic example for everyone to learn from, even though they have had to cope with negligence from staff who should have been more professional. What a loving family this little boy has! I can see that they want his best and that's all that matters. His mission on this planet must be very important.
EVERYONE should have such a loving family! And his mom is such a warrior. Trying for EVERYONE, disabled, seniors, to get cameras in facilities to prevent abuse. And that started years ago. I can imagine it is even more needed TODAY. Hope facilities are changing!

King is so lucky to have such a loving family and vice versa, his family is so lucky to King. He brings such love and closeness to his family. This is my second time watching this and it saddens and angers me that because of one nurse who neglected to take care of King properly, worsened his condition. A sad reality. A lot of parents end up absent in their children's lives... seems like having a special needs child makes it more likely. Breaks my heart to see because the strength, bravery, kindness, and joy and appreciation I see in all of these friends is incredibly powerful...
Shoutout to the single parents out there, whether your children have special needs or not, that would take on the world to see their kids happy. You're amazing.

Hearing this poor child, who is blind and due to the massive brain traumas he doesn’t respond to anything, laboring so hard to take basic breaths, even when he has a trache and oxygen supplements etc, is just tragic. That labored breathing is very taxing on the cardio system and is definitely painful for him. Sigh.
