FANTASMIC returns to Disneyland one year after going dark due to the Great Dragon Fire of 2023:

The show has been retooled and updated with new projections, pyro effects, and characters for this 2024 return, most notably, Peter Pan and Captain Hook have returned to battle it out for the SS Columbia, replacing Jack Sparrow and the Pirates of the Caribbean who had occupied the ship from 2017-2023. Unfortunately, Disney decided not to replace the dragon in the show (RIP Murphy), rather Maleficent remains a witch until she is seemingly electrocuted by Mickey...but whatever works, the show is back and we'll have to accept it dragon, or no dragon.
