Very nice you took the time to compare these! I do have some remarks though... 1. Why did you use 3 paste waxes and one liquid? You can also get NXT Tech Wax as a paste. It would have made it even more accurate. 2. Beading/sheeting isn't everything. Yes, it looks cool, but in fact it tells very little about the quality. Basically you can judge a wax on 2 criteria: gloss and protection. I know from personal experience that the Gold Class works best on dark cars and gives the deepest gloss/reflection. The NXT works great on lighter cars and stays on the longest. I must admit I haven't tried the cleaner wax and ultimate wax. 3. It would be nice to add the differences in the type of wax. The cleanerwax is a synthetic all in one wax (cleaner, glaze and wax). The NXT is a synthetic sealant, made to give the most durable protection. The Gold Class is a carnauba wax, made from natural materials, giving the best shine but little durability. The Ultimate is a synthetic/carnauba hybrid wax combining a deeper gloss compared to the NXT and more durability compared to the gold Class. These remarks aside I still think you did a nice video and I really like your collection of cars! P.s. excuse my bad spelling/writing. I'm from the Netherlands and English isn't my mother language.
Thank you for the summary of the Meguiars' products. I probably need to go with a synthetic and/or sealant because I'm not diligent enough to wax my car very often.
willy wanta I would go with the NXT. I use it and it really deepens the color and lasts a lot longer than other waxes. Plus it buffs off really easy, too.
From what I've read throughout the years, a carnauba wax will work best on a show car/ car that doesn't see the elements too much. This is because when it heats up the carnuba molecules tend to "open" up and trap dust. That's why cars are dusty when they've just been polished. The synthetic type waxes won't do this and resist the elements better... Down side is that it won't have that same deep colorful shine as the carnuba.
Awesome comparison! I just got a brand new black convertible, and I have been so overwhelmed with wax choices. You nailed it right on with the whole science experiment concept. Decisions are made easier because of people like you. Thank you!
you are 100% correct Meguiar's should do some sponsorship since you just gave them free advertisement to over 150,000 viewers. Thanks for the review by the way. A good test would be a revisit of the same application 3 weeks later.
keep pushing,I bet if you e-mail them and tell them you are going to change products and review their competitor they might toss you a bone, just a thought. Your product reviews are welcomed by all of us out here.
Thanks for taking the time to give us a real time demonstration. Meguiars are you paying attention, you have a very simple explanation and demonstration of your product and yes based on this i will be buying the ultimate line of products.
Nice job on this video. I actually use the professional version of tech wax 2.0 which is called synthetic sealant 2.0. Amazon has it for $40 but it will last you an extremely long time and it lasts on the car a long time too. Great for keeping bug guts and bird droppings from eating into your paint. I like to use the carnauba wax, then sealer and finish it with 'Last Touch' detailing spray to really protect the clear coat from the elements. Water definitely beads off nicely and car washes after are easier to perform because dirt does not stick. Again great job on video, hope you get more thumbs up and hits!
Thanks for taking the time to do this comparison, It's nice to see that you took a 'scientific' approach to it. Very informative! FINALLY answered some questions about what is the best product to use on my cars!
Nice test, i use a lot of Meguiars for detailing my own and others vehicles. The last two are full polymer waxes ;so it makes sense that the water beads better and flows off better. The cleaner wax has its place if the car has embedded dirt if someone isn't inclined to clay first, and its cheap. The gold class has no cleaners in it but it has some carnauba and some polymer so you can get more depth on dark metallic paints.plus better protection The last two have no carnauba so you wont get much depth. All i noticed is the ring and watch. I actually took a Meguiars seminar when i trained at a car wash. Jewelry is not accepted. Just saying
I never heard cleaner wax hurts clear coat i you use top brands. I know cleaner wax has solvents and slight polishes in them that prevent you from building them. Any additional coats remove the previous one. Waxes like Gold Class and Mothers Gold can be used after a cleaner wax because they contain no solvents or abrasives.. I love those two after a cleaner wax or polymer wax on darker colors.
Just bought the Gold Class Carnauba Plus and watched your awesome review afterwards. I was very confused at the shop and didn't knew what the differences were between them and now I do thanks to you!!
Good job keeping focus on what you needed to say. So tired of watching so many people ramble and ramble and ramble and repeat them selves over and over. so props to not driving me insane by the first 2 minutes.
Always take off all rings before wash/waxing a car...the wedding ring too, if it still comes off! Thanks for the vid. Just bought a black mazda3 hatch and want to keep it as nice as possible for long as possible. Peace to ya! I did include a thumbs up.
I have used Gold Class in the past on my Mercedes-Benz SL, but have been using the NXT Tech Wax for the past 2 years. I find it gives a great shine and wipes on and off with ease.
Here is the Turtle Wax Version of this test, Check it out! The Difference Between Turtle Wax Hard Shell, Carnuba Cleaner Wax, and Ice Premium Synthetic wax
hey I love your videos, and knowing your not a pro,you even said it i think, you do a great job,but there's only 1 thing that I cringed at,is when after you clayed the you used you hand with your watch and ring to test the surface, that's a huge!!! NO NO in our industry,BUT!!!!! NICE JOB LIKE ALWAYS
Best way to test the wax beading is to allow fine mist to build up and see how it disperses/beads rather than heavy spraying or flooding it. Great video and thanks for taking the time!
GREAT video, I just purchased the Ultimate Wax because of your video and it's amazing. Thank you for taking the time to review the different types of wax and saving us tons of time.
Hairul Nizam Mohd Hussin I appreciate it, they have pros that do all sorts of great stuff, just never see any of it online. Eagle ONe has sent me lots of stuff for free though, smaller company but great!
This was a very informative video. I have used Meguiars products for many years and trust them. You did a fantastic job showing the results of the different waxes. I use the Tech wax on my 69 Chevelle & 91 Formula 1-LE. Thank you for taking the time to do this for us car folks!
Great comparison Ty, my opinion is there wasn't that dramatic of a difference, it was only slight, if I had to choose one I would just take the one that was easy to remove, save some elbow power , but thats just me. :)
Hi, I am from Brazil (sorry my english, i speak portuguese) and here the ultimate wax cost USD 120,00 dollars ! The Tech Wax 2.0 cost 80,00 dollars ! But, they are the best wax we can by at the market. The second choise is "Mother wax", red bottle, cost less, but have less quality. Great video.
Saw no difference... That you think the water repels faster on the more premium side seems like you may be looking for a difference. The control side on the right side seems to repel just as much or not that much of a difference. I think you got the right idea of doing the different sections, but the section widths are too small for us to see any discernible difference. The shine all looks the same. So in order for us to see the difference in water repelling, the width of the sample sections need to be wider. So next time, maybe you can just do 2 waxes on the hood and 2 waxes on the trunk? THANKS for taking the time to do this!
Yeah, saw no difference (brightness and water repel). Well, at least he said which ones are easier and harder to take off. If all are the same, I think i will go for gold class.
Hey, thanks for taking the time to do this. I've been using Meguiar's Gold Class on a regular basis for several years now with satisfactory results, but I might have to consider splurging on the Ultimate when my current bottle of Gold Class runs out! I've also use/used Malm's and Adam's, but Gold Class is still my "go to" wax. Thanks again for messing with my head!!
Thanks for doing this. It was a very helpful video. Just as additional info for people watching this, the NXT and Ultimate are synthetic waxes, also know as paint sealant. There's actually a chemical reaction taking place as it cures, which leaves a very durable protective layer behind. Natural carnuba waxes cannot do this. This is why synthetic sealants are so much more durable and can last for up to 6 months. You'd be luck getting more than 3 or 4 weeks of protection out of carnuba. Even less if it's exposed to the elements. Some people feel that carnuba offers better depth. This may be true if your pain was freshly polished, but the effect would be very subtle. One option would be to do a synthetic wax first, then layer periodically with carnuba to sort of get the best of both worlds.
Ultimate and tech will really make your car stand out from just cleaner wax. I can tell you that first hand. Gold also does a stunning job. Id never suggest cheaping out on cleaner wax, just spend the extra 5 or 10 and get one of the higher line products.
I have used Liquid Glass for 30+ years and have never found anything that's as good. The prep is about the same but I do buff the car before waxing. Thanks for the time and work.
I've used the gold class for years and will continue to use it. I tried the ultimate wax and others but keep going back to the gold class. To me it provides the best shine
I've been using the Tech Wax 2.0 for years. Easy on and easy off and the shine lasts and lasts. Even thru the East Coast winters. I also use a local car wash to get all dirt and salt off in the winter, and my car still shines great! Highly recommend!!
Hey, I see your in to this "waxing stuff"... I was there a few years back myself. You did a great job on the video comparison however I think the following information will be pertinent to you. Couple of things for you to know. The true test on the water beading is how well it runs off the car... not what stays on the car. I won't bore you with molecular structure of water and surface tension relationships but in terms we all understand water as you know will seeks its own level. The molecules stick together unless they are disrupted via surface tension of some sort. Depending of the gravitational pull the surface tensions is either strong enough to hold it in place (ie. the beads of water on the hood of a car) or the molecules release to again seek its own level. OK, how does this apply to Paint and wax? Well with the absence of surface tension the water will flow off the car and actually not bead up at all. But a coat of oil on the car and see how it won't bead up at all. What causes the water to stay on the car is tiny little imperfections like contaminants from the road, sky etc. as well as the hardness of water itself. Then you say what about the "freshly waxed car". Well to your hand it feels smooth as glass but the reality is there is minute clumping of wax on freshly waxed car also giving the water something to hold on to. So run off is better test. You'll also notice that there are some droplets bigger than others. Long explanation but bigger droplets are a result of the contaminates and hard minerals in the water itself and the size of the imperfection the water it being held up by. For fun, buy a gallon of distilled water and then use that on a similar test and you'll notice a lot more runoff because the hard water deposits in the water are not there to attach to other contaminants/surface tension. So your real test is not what stays on the hood but what rolls off as well as how long it last and also what I think is the most important aspect is "ease of use" and "depth and richness of shine". Any which way, the wax is used to form a layer of protection between atmospheric conditions and the clear coat top of paint. Clear coat protects the paint itself now so we use wax to protect the clear coat. Things like Industrial waste and hard chemicals and minerals in water and other crap in our air make an acidic compound that when left on your car etch the surface of your clear coat or paint and lead to various types of oxidation. We want our wax to protect us from that oxidation while giving us a beautiful shine with great depth to it. These newer polymer waxes have less microscopic imperfection once applied that allow less surface tension to be present therefore more water runoff while providing longer protection as a better barrier to the outside elements and sun. Lastly, as a tip to your fans. When washing your car don't use a spray nozzle on the final rinse. Take off the nozzle and turn on the water to med/low so its coming out slow enough to not be disrupted at the hose end and gently guide it over the hood and systematically work your self around the car over the windows down the doors etc. You'll find you barely have to dry your car as the water stays "heavily" attached to its self and rolls off nicely.
Great job but you should have wiped tape lines of after water test to stop any potential cross contamination great job anyway just bought n X t paste wax
They All look identical. I think the lesson here is to clay bar your car, and then the wax doesn't matter too much? I use Nu Finish, and it works awesome! ... I think I'll invest in a clay bar for next year ;-)
Well done man, you were right not too many people have done reviews like this, thanks for taking the time out to do it, I have the ultimate wax, which is great but always wondered what the NXT 2.0 was like, and now I know. Thanks
Beading and sheeting looked exactly the same for all products. Your real question should be, "Is the NXT or the Ultimate really 2 - 3 times better than the 'cheap' stuff?"
Brilliant comparison. Very unbiased and fair. Perhaps the video doesn't show it all, but from what I can see they all have virtually the exact same effect. Would be interesting to know if any lasted longer
Thanks. Personally I'm a massive fan of Scholl Concepts at the moment. Absolutely miles ahead of Meguires and Mothers if you want to try something else. Also the answer is no, I don't get paid by them or have any connection, I just love cars and passing on knowledge.
I concur that you are absolutely correct about the little or no differences between the Meguiar's. waxes and water beading from the water spray test. I usually use the wax to shield the paint from dirt and get a little shine, not what it does for water.
Great video. I am always standing in the store wondering what is the difference between waxes. I figured it was same product different packing. Except the clearer wax. Thank you for a great video. One trick I have learned over the years which most people probably know already if add a little water on top of the wax in the container it makes it easier to use. Just a little.
That's because meguiars waxes have crappy durability (Meguiars gold might get you 2 months at best). Get either Collinite 845 (an easy to apply and remove wax that lasts 5 months) or Collinite 476 (a harder to apply and remove wax that lasts 8 months). P.S - I'm a car detailer and Collinite's what I use for my biz.
Great job man! Thanks for the tests! I am really an NXT guy. Been using it since it debuted! Best wax I have used! Notice how it never stains the black trim and wipes right off!
are you sure? why would they make it a wax detailer when it comes with the clay bar? it doesn't make much sense to add wax while trying to remove dirt and debris stuck on the paint
@@packapunchie Ye pretty sure as it is a detailer like auto finess or autoglyms products. In my opinion although I see what your saying it is just to lubricate. Doesn't matter if it has wax in or not. It is just a wax maintenance spray so has minimal impact by time you wipe you car down, pre wax, wax and use sealant. They clay is just to remove the contaminents not the wax so you could use it with out stripping old wax off depending on the quality of the finish thats on your car.
its ok, im no pro either. You really see the difference overtime and the carnuba will pop on my cars much more than the synthetics (tech wax and ultimate). All 4 waxes were fresh, they better not suck that quickly:)
Acc0rd79 So which Would you most recommend? The gold? I couldn't tell from the video either, but you said the gold wax was easier to remove and it has the carnuba and makes it look better... or whatever. lol. Sorry, I don't really have any experience with this. I just bought the red one the other day and was planning on washing/waxing my car tomorrow. I'm down to take it back and get something better though.
***** I enjoy that wet look to the wax that makes it pop more so I like the carnuba but for my cars that have to sit in the sun all day long, I use the Ultimate or Tech wax because they are synthetic which gives me longer lasting protection. But, my 2 garage cars always have carnuba based wax.
Gold Class I use to use on my old truck. My truck had a bronze pearl finish to it and when detailed it was a head turner. While Gold Class looked nice I eventually turned to Nxt and wow. Nxt has been my prefer choice for the past years and lets just say it really brought out the shine on my truck. Now that I have a white car it really shines and looks good with Nxt. Cleaner waxes I've never really liked. Awesome vid by the way.
Excellent review. Nice 01 EBP base & looks to be either 90 or a 91 frost white 3rd gen, Si 4WS? One question tho, why didn't you just leave the control sections alone after removing the tape? Great job regardless its still a lot better review than a majority that I've seen.
Pound for pound, the Tec Wax is a brilliant product. I've been using it for at least a couple of years now. It is by far the easiest to use and seems to have the durability you need (unless you like to wax your car a couple of times a month). If you stick to the Tec Wag or the Ultimate, you can't go wrong. Also you are to be well congratulated on making this terrific video - bravo.
Advice from decades of professional experience. Do Not Wear Jewelry Watches or Belts With Buckles ..!!! A velcro belt will also cover buttons and snaps.
really liked this vid, as you said it's not been done before like this, to show directly the difference on one panel. cant really tell in the video if there is any differences, but as you pointed out there is a noticeable difference in wiping them off
Dude I apologize when I made that comment it was during the 1st few seconds of the vid and the roof & hood looked exactly like my 2004 Rsx. As well as the color, that looks EXACTLY like the artic blue pearl my rsx is. Even ur mirrors look like rsx. Great looking car regardless as well as that nissan please tell me if u got a clear bra on that nissan
For most people, that is sound advice. Just make sure that if you get cheap wax, that it isn't a pain to remove (some of the older waxes were a pain to remove).
I've used the gold class for some time now think I'm going to switch to 2.0 or the ultimate.. Thanks for the video very exceptional watched the whole thing gave you a thumbs up aswell.
These are too close to call IMO. A cleaner wax wouldn't be one that I would have included, but, you're more knowledgeable than I. Thanks for your videos.
Great job! Thanks for taking the time to review this. I have nevered tried to wax my car and I think it is due for one to bring out the richness of it.
Hello, so far this year I have used 6 different car waxes on my cars. I recently purchased Mothers California Carnauba wax. I used it today and it is a very good wax, however it didn't seem to buff off as easy as the Meguiers Gold Class Carnauba. Just my opinion. I will try it again tonight on my other car and see how it goes. I enjoy your videos. BTW you don't have to worry about the airport noise because your voices comes through well.
It's nice to see how water runs off it. The sheen on them looked generally the same, not sure if that was just from the camera though. I'd love to see how these compare to sun exposure and weather and stuff. It'd be cool if you could get like a painted test panel or something and apply these waxes side by side and let them wear outdoors for a couple of weeks or months.
Gotta give this a thumbs up. Great step-by-step of your methodology. This is a well thought out experiment and a well made video. Extra credit for doing it yourself without a dedicated cameraman/tripod. While I didn't notice the biggest difference at the end, it was still an interesting experiment.
Glad you liked, I bought it back in 2006 from a Honda dealer in Syracuse, NY then drove it all the way back to Florida. It was minty 36kmi back then. I have my 91 Prelude as well you can see in some of my vids.
more than welcome, the gold class Is a carnuba based wax. The ultimate and NXT are both synthetics. They wont make your paint pop as much with that wet look but it will outlast the carnuba as the average life span on carnuba is 3 months. So its your call on what you pick, shiny looks that you have to redo a few times per year or synthetic you can do twice a year to maintain a good wax.
give that guy a medal. thanks so much. i was having trouble choosing between tech wax 2.0 and gold class, now i'm so getting either the ultimate or the tech wax lol :p well i think i'm gonna go for the ultimate as its available in power packs with pads to be used with the DA system thanks
Thanx so much for your time and effort! It helped me to choose a product! Meguiars really should either put you on their payroll as a spokesperson, or give you a five years supply of their products!
Wow! Thanks very much for this video and the turtle wax video. Helped me to make my decision much easier. I am still undecided whether to go with turtle wax or with meguiars or if I go with liquid or paste wax. but hey... at least I am much closer to making a decision thanks to you.
Cool video. You were the answer to my prayers. It was impossible to find a comparison of specifically meguires wax until i saw your video. I was like holy shit!!! After 3 days of looking finally some one posted this !!!!!!!!!!!!
fantastic video dude i'm glad that you showed the differences between the ease of use and how the products work.Especially when it comes to hand waxing. I was looking at the ultimate wax which i believe is worth spending the extra..thanks for the great vid and advice..
Thanks -this really helps. I'm a diehard Meguiar's fan. I always used gold class - thinking about try the Ultimate class, now I think i'll go with the Ultimate. Thanks.
gold class is carnuba based, the ultimate is synthetic. The shine or pop might be what you want in synthetic. It will last longer however, just know before going in!
Forget the wax differences, what a beautiful color on that Prelude!
The rare Electron Blue pearl!
Best Honda colour ever!
Very nice you took the time to compare these! I do have some remarks though...
1. Why did you use 3 paste waxes and one liquid? You can also get NXT Tech Wax as a paste. It would have made it even more accurate.

Mohamed Elghenae neither do i
Mohamed Elghenae waste of time . I wish the airplane was louder. I need my 12+minutes back.
the difference might be how long they last
seeing it in a video does not do it justice
maybe on 4k with a 4k screen.
Mohamed Elghenae.... This showed absolutely nothing
Awesome comparison! I just got a brand new black convertible, and I have been so overwhelmed with wax choices. You nailed it right on with the whole science experiment concept. Decisions are made easier because of people like you. Thank you!

8 years and still rocking solid, great video man! salute.

Im glad to help, I might be doing this with another car line in the future, ive had a lot of questions about doing them for mothers or turtle wax.

I heard Cleaner wax hurts clear coat; the Gold Class won't hurt right? I want that hydrophobic effect, so, dust won't cling on the car.
Thanks.

I can't believe no one ever thought of doing this.

Looks exactly the same. Water runs off the same, it beads the same on your video when you go on both sides. You definitely saved people money!!

+Acc0rd79 ok,,great videos though man

GREAT video, I just purchased the Ultimate Wax because of your video and it's amazing. Thank you for taking the time to review the different types of wax and saving us tons of time.
Robert Rodriguez always glad to help fellow average jo's! haha
Meguiar's really need to pay your advertising money man! I bought myself the Ultimate wax because of your video! Hey MG - do sponsor this guy.. :)

Much Appreciated the time you took on this project. I will definitely will subscribe. I enjoy all of your videos. two thumbs up!
Awsome vid man thanks for the review and for taking the time off ur busy day to make this so that other people and get info from this major thanks !
THANKS FOR TAKIN THE TIME G.
I use cleaner wax for 2 years bcz i am not wax savy but this helped. Thank you. Definitely gonna start paying the extra buck for quality.
The cam don't show much, but thanks for your hard work bro! and Great job.
Same
I've been using the Tech Wax 2.0 for years. Easy on and easy off and the shine lasts and lasts. Even thru the East Coast winters.
I also use a local car wash to get all dirt and salt off in the winter, and my car still shines great! Highly recommend!!
The cheapest wax repel water faster to me in the red can ha ha ha
Downright AWESOME!!!! Really wished I could have seen the results in person.
You'll find you barely have to dry your car as the water stays "heavily" attached to its self and rolls off nicely.
best explanation and very well said!
Scott Sarver bloody oath thanks mate! Great information
Paragraphs are your friend. Or, they should be...
So which wax would you recommend on or off this list?
Great job but you should have wiped tape lines of after water test to stop any potential cross contamination great job anyway just bought n X t paste wax
They All look identical. I think the lesson here is to clay bar your car, and then the wax doesn't matter too much? I use Nu Finish, and it works awesome! ... I think I'll invest in a clay bar for next year ;-)
themeloninc how’s the nu finish ? Is it better than gold class? I bought gold class and nu but haven’t been able to test them yet due to the hurricane
I had a bottle of Nufinish back in 1990s. It worked nicely, but was a pain to remove once it dried. It found its way into every crack and crevice.
Very well made precise commentary.
Most of the long videos I watch, the guys talk on and on forever. All the stuff you say actually matters.
I appreciate it, I tried to make it a bit of a scientific experiment.
Brilliant comparison. Very unbiased and fair. Perhaps the video doesn't show it all, but from what I can see they all have virtually the exact same effect. Would be interesting to know if any lasted longer
xr8brisbane Tech Wax 2.0 and Ultimate lasted the longest of all.
I agree they all looked the same to me..
Great video. I am always standing in the store wondering what is the difference between waxes. I figured it was same product different packing. Except the clearer wax. Thank you for a great video. One trick I have learned over the years which most people probably know already if add a little water on top of the wax in the container it makes it easier to use. Just a little.
You should have kept the tape strips on.
My thoughts
Great video man. Thanks for taking the time to do this. Very much appreciated!
Im glad you enjoyed!
Thank You for making this video!! 2-thumbs up!!
Thank you for taking the time to make & post your video!
Only thing missing is a durability test because they all repel water pretty good.
Yeah that would be the most interesting part of this test.
I would suggest P21S or S100.
Great job man! Thanks for the tests! I am really an NXT guy. Been using it since it debuted! Best wax I have used! Notice how it never stains the black trim and wipes right off!
+vicioussix yah, high end waxes wont have any issues with the black trim like the cheaper stuff will.
Oops, you used quick detailer as a clay lubricant which has a wax in it. So there is no control. Also it may interfere with the other waxes.
not all quick detailers have wax, and im assuming that since the lubricant came with the clay bar that there is no wax in it.
@@packapunchie It is a wax detailer. I used it on my car once.
are you sure? why would they make it a wax detailer when it comes with the clay bar? it doesn't make much sense to add wax while trying to remove dirt and debris stuck on the paint
They clay is just to remove the contaminents not the wax so you could use it with out stripping old wax off depending on the quality of the finish thats on your car.
personally ive never tried to use a clay bar without stripping the cars paint and then waxing it right after. I see what you're saying though!
Finally someone has answered my questions, I like the tech wax and will be using it on my truck. Great test!
+jon hawke thanks
great review and thanx for tacking the time to do it. I would have to be honest I dont notice much difference on any of the waxes but im no expert.
its ok, im no pro either.
Acc0rd79 Awesome! Appreciate the tips/advice.
Awesome vid by the way.
lots of people are saying the tech wax is just as good as the ultimate . i like using gold class more .
Excellent review. Nice 01 EBP base & looks to be either 90 or a 91 frost white 3rd gen, Si 4WS? One question tho, why didn't you just leave the control sections alone after removing the tape? Great job regardless its still a lot better review than a majority that I've seen.
Also the Ultimate wax smells awesome.
2019 Gold all the way ...
Appreciate you taking your time to do this. it really helped me out.
glad it helps!
Thumbs up, Proper comparison for sure.
ashequl arif thanks
Acc0rd79 Which foam gun do you use. does it connect with a normal garden hose? or does it need a pressure washer machine?
thanks for taking the time to do this
Advice from decades of professional experience.
Do Not Wear Jewelry Watches or Belts With Buckles ..!!!
A velcro belt will also cover buttons and snaps.
really liked this vid, as you said it's not been done before like this, to show directly the difference on one panel. cant really tell in the video if there is any differences, but as you pointed out there is a noticeable difference in wiping them off
Ive got this same exact fukn car!!! lol
Julius Cesar yah its a good car, I bought it in July of '06 and kept it ever since.
Harris Montevallo cool story bro!
Great review. Thorough, methodical, controlled, prescriptive.
i prefere golden class
That's what i use. Inexpensive and easy to find. Applies easily and works well for me.
Awesome! Keep up the good work. Meguiars tech wax 2.0 wax & Meguiars gold class wax Spectacular !
they all looked the same on the video. I say buy the cheapest one
For most people, that is sound advice. Just make sure that if you get cheap wax, that it isn't a pain to remove (some of the older waxes were a pain to remove).
As others have stated, you really gotta think about how long it lasts. Most likely, the more expensive waxes will last far longer.
i actually felt like nxt 2.0 worked the best in this video, seemed the most clear and beaded up real quick.
Great video. Just got a Vibrant Red 2012 Infiniti and can't wait to try the products out. Love to detail my cars. Thanks for doing the comparison
Glad to have helped, I created this channel just to show others what each store bought product will do.
Very informative. Wish Meguiars did an honest test like this.
well im glad I at least came up with it and put it into practice.
OMG, been looking for this comparison forever, ur awesome
Good job taking your time to do this!
Putting on the ultimate wax as I watch this glad i spent the extra bc it is a hassle to do it by hand. Thx 4 the great video.
While I didn't notice the biggest difference at the end, it was still an interesting experiment.
hunter371 most of this would come in a long distance test. The meguiars ultimate and nxt 2.0 would far outlast the other two.
came here for the comparison, and was pleased by the prelude; I have one too.
Glad you liked, I bought it back in 2006 from a Honda dealer in Syracuse, NY then drove it all the way back to Florida. It was minty 36kmi back then. I have my 91 Prelude as well you can see in some of my vids.
I didn't know they made a higher end paste wax then the gold class plus. I'm going to have to give that one a try. Thanks for the video!
more than welcome, the gold class Is a carnuba based wax.
Great vid!! Meguiars makes great products, no matter what I try it seems I always roam back to Meguiars. Thanks!!
Thank you very much for making this video and texting the comparision
Great job. The comparison is very good. A follow up video in a month would be really helpful.
Neil Naber this video is well over a year old:) Long since done.
give that guy a medal. thanks so much.
i was having trouble choosing between tech wax 2.0 and gold class, now i'm so getting either the ultimate or the tech wax lol :p well i think i'm gonna go for the ultimate as its available in power packs with pads to be used with the DA system
thanks
Thanx so much for your time and effort! It helped me to choose a product! Meguiars really should either put you on their payroll as a spokesperson, or give you a five years supply of their products!
Nora Steel haha thanks, I could only wish.
i have been waiting for so long for this video thank very much was a very good video and nice ride too
Wow! Thanks very much for this video and the turtle wax video. Helped me to make my decision much easier. I am still undecided whether to go with turtle wax or with meguiars or if I go with liquid or paste wax. but hey... at least I am much closer to making a decision thanks to you.
Great video. Gave me insight for my car and boat.
I'm giving it a thumbs up just because you keep your Prelude so nice.
Thank you, just washed it and put it back in the garage last week.
Cool video. You were the answer to my prayers. It was impossible to find a comparison of specifically meguires wax until i saw your video. I was like holy shit!!! After 3 days of looking finally some one posted this !!!!!!!!!!!!
Jeep Man I did a Turtle Wax one as well as you have seen. I plan to do the Mothers one in the future as well.
Cool i have used all but mothers so i look forward to that .
dude! great video love the comparison, wish i would have seen his before i purchssed the gold.
fantastic video dude i'm glad that you showed the differences between the ease of use and how the products work.Especially when it comes to hand waxing.
