AWESOME
I'm pleasantly surprised to see Meshuggah on a Google channel...definitely didn't expect that!
i just fell in love with the interviewer
Wow, finally some quality questions from the interviewer! Great job!
Thomas is so humble - I would say that melody plays a pretty big role in this band, but they've put it in their riffs. The reason why the riffs mess with the mind is because many of them are both rhythmically and melodically sophisticated. Thomas always downplays what he does, but his music is simultaneously challenging and amazing - that's hard to accomplish. I've got a lot of respect for what this band has been able to do!
It sounds complicated because they don't do typical 4/4 time signature ;)
Yes. Most people play a lot simpler rhythms in 4, but meshuggah's 4/4 is unbreakable.
@@devendasmusic Yes. He has a strong command of the English language.
"kind of down tuned"...yea, no kidding Tomas :D
I like computer technology, I like Meshuggah, now I love my life
Mobile game store taking interview of metal band
What's it like like being in, you know, like Meshuggah.
I remember the first time I have seen Meshuggah back in 1996. They were opening for Clawfinger in my home town (Ludwigsburg Germany). I belive it was the album Destroy Erase Improve / Selfcaged. Since 96 I am a fan of Meshuggah. Yepp.. that's it! And I really respect the guys for being down to earth and cool guys :)
Google likes Meshuggah?? Awesome
it's a shame how Google tries to promote these awful services (Google Play, Google +) this way, but it's amazing the quality of material they're producing.
Good guy Tomas: Is one of today's most influential drummers, "Yeah.... I really just write a tiny percentage of the drumbeats..."
I was at this show!! Sick show! They opened for Ministry!
hothtothothothothothothothothothtothothothothothothothothothtothothothothothothothot.
and Tomas Haake. There is a lot of awesome on this video.

thomas haake wearing a kamchatka shirt
So a sound hot interviewer had a chat with the God! Didn't know this existed. Damn u UA-cam recommendation algorithm.🎈🙏
better replay the most radio-safe section of the most radio-safe song on the record for the entire interview
i have one particular question, does meshuggah ever make any mistake in the past for live shows
they are human bro
Nice audio..
Yeah he dummed down to a rack and 2 floors this album cycle. He also ditched a ride cymbal although I think he did that a few years ago.
I hope Haake collects a PR fee from the rest of the guys, he seems to be the only one who interviews for them. Even when the others are there he is the only one who says anything.
+Rob Greene Hagstrom has a pretty good amount of solid interviews
yeah the guy is a pro
as good as the questions are, as poor is the sound quality
Haake only has one rack tomm now??
Gens.
Ok guitarists: What in Odin's name is the thing at 3:04 to 3:09??? It's not just flatted fifths...plus that super low string on the bottom is open and ringing...it creates a sound that I'm "crazy" over.
Well, sorry but it literally is just palm-muted flatted fifths. That chord is the main riff of "I Am Colossus".
F = 0 Bb = 1 Eb = 2 Ab = 3
Palm muted and its important to have a tight sounds (Boosted amp tightening up the low end in front of the amp)
Better space for two hi-hats - one closed, one open.
8-DDD !!!! WTF Google Play AWESOME!!!
they even use a percussive mic in this one lmao
That chick is so hot
That woman is attractive. Oh, Tomas, you're cool too.
Kinda downtuned...jesus meshuggah probably has the lowest sounding guitars in prog metal
