Best tip ever, the alcohol! Plus, I learned that you can use less glue, than I thought that you needed. Since I do not have the really clear glue sticks, less glue works best because it produces a thinner stamp. Thinner is more see through! Thanks!
I finally found the total clear wax sticks from the video, at the nex&co store on Amazon. I picked some flowers and made transparent stamps to put on the gift. pretty cool!~!~
OMG, I am so happy you were able to find it and that it worked for you. I believe Michael's stopped selling the clear glue sticks and I've ordered some on Temu. They seem to to work ok, so if you need to get them, get them there.
Thank you SO much for the game-changing process of spritzing with alcohol. Other YT videos I have watched suggested placing stamp on an ice pack or using an anti-static powder bag, but these did not produce the beautiful results I am getting with the alcohol spritz! Thank you!!
The pleasure is all mine! Ice pack does not work; been there done that... 😆 Alcohol actually works even if your seal is warm. There is another video where I demonstrated that. It makes me so happy to see that this video came to your feed and that you found it useful. Happy crafting and feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

This is amazing! I had no idea you can create your own seal with a glue gun! Thanks so much for this tutorial!!! I can make scrapbooking embellishments now! Woo Hoo! Great video!!!
Great tip using alcohol! I have a glue gun used for wax seals only. I use both wax and glue...so much easier and faster! I also use an ice pack to keep the stamps I'm using on top. I like the idea of the alcohol bc it's one less bulky thing on the desk.
This is what I love about UA-cam... all the brilliant ideas/tips being freely shared with everyone ❤❤❤. Thank you for YOUR time and devotion in making this video for us. I'm going to be trying this out today! So glad your video showed up in my feed! Hugs! 🤗🤗🤗 PS - I also just subscribed 😊

@@lanabylanadesign So I did try your wonderful tip. It took me 5 attempts to get one that was centered AND thin. 😜 I didn't have my spray bottle so I made a kind of an ink well with the hot glue and stamp. Just pumped a little hill of glue and stamped it in deep. I had been wetting the stamp with the alcohol and my finger tip. So now I have a 'cup' that I put my alcohol in and rest my stamp in it between each stamp I do. I'm wondering if the cooling effect of the alcohol would prevent the stamp from getting too warm? Would be another plus to your idea!
Hi Midge, it is like you are reading my mind! I have another video in the making coming soon about exactly that! I am so happy you are sharing your experiences with me. Thank you!!!
Oh, that is a huge bummer, I hope you can still use your seal. I am so glad this helped and now your seals are going to be safe. Thank you so much for stopping by!
I need to go get some crystal clear glue sticks...mine look cloudy. I don't use alcohol, but I've found placing my stamps on something cold helps them pop off easily. I'll try the alcohol and see if its any easier. Great tips, thanks.
Hi Mary, thank you for coming. Yes, I have tried that and I have an IG reel. I love using those, but, here comes another but... The stickers can "deform" or warp for the lack of a better term, when you put hot glue on it, but they should turn back to normal when you press it with the sealing stamp.
I enjoyed this! It was very interesting. Thank you for sharing! Your artwork reminds me of projects from an old craft magazine called Handcraft Illustrated. It didn't have the typical country crafts. I think the music is actually several levels better than most other YT process music. At least it's classical in style. We're all capable of turning down the volume, or moving on.
Thank you Vania! When it comes to music, I always wanted to play rock, 😂 I was not really sure how audiences would perceive it; I wanted to call it "Rock with Lana" or "Highway to Crafting", or something along those lines.... but I always end up choosing something calming and more "typical". Thank you so much for your comments. It really means a lot! 😊
Thank you so much! The ones that I used in this video are from the ArtMinds, I believe they are Michael's brand. Unfortunately, I was not able to find them at Michael's last time I was there, but I will look again. I saw that you can get clear sticks on Etsy or Amazon, but those are not going to be the ones I used. I will keep on looking and I'll keep you posted because I'm running out and I need to refill my stash... =^^=
This really helped me. How did you come to this conclusion? I tried my glue gun a few weeks ago. I thought it was a brilliant idea. But the glue stick really stuck to my stamps. I was so upset! Now I can’t wait to try this! Thank you so much.

@@lanabylanadesign I think it was also a stroke of genius also. I tried this today. I used two of the little color pellets along with my glue stick. @@angelaarnold4255 Hi, could I ask you what you meant about the colour pellets? Is it the wax beads, and how did you melt everything? In a spoon over a candle? Or did you somehow put the pellets in the glue gun? You've got me so curious 🤔!

@@teresanowotny681 Oh, I see what you mean. I don't think that could actually happen to the paper. Wax seal (or in this case hot glue) acts more like a shield. Now, if you were to directly apply to a bigger size of paper (a card size or a scrapbook size paper) it could warp it a little bit, but that is because of the heat. That is why I like to prepare my seals in advance and then just glue them on my projects.
This is great! I have been so frustrated, trying to find "crystal-clear" glue sticks (AdTech's "crystal-clear" sticks are definitely NOT clear!), and they are available at Michaels?! I saw that they are ArtMinds brand, but may I ask what it actually says on the package? Thank you so much for sharing! I loved what you did with the cardstock rounds.
Yes, they are available at Michael's. The package says "Extra Strength Glue Sticks" and on the little red circle it says "High Temperature" . When you turn it over you will see it says that it dries clear, and they a a bit see-through when you hold them in your hands. I hope this answers your questions. If you mean you don't have the signet or stamp, you could try making one. At Michael's we sell metal discs in the metal stamping section ( - the other kind of stamping that requires a hammer 😜.) Just hot glue a wooden dowel on one side as a handle, or a metal bolt. If cost is a factor, try gluing a 'handle' on a coin like a quarter or a loonie - that's a Canadian dollar coin. Clean the coin first so dirt doesn't get embedded in your first stamp. Don't forget to spray with the alcohol tip!
