60 Minute Full Body Yoga Conditioning

  • This is a 60 Minute full body yoga conditioning class infusing abdominal core, upper body and leg strengtheners into our flow. Class begins with some functional pilates style core sequences to warm up followed by variations on sun salutes, gate, lunges, planks and a final challenge practising Lolasana (Pendant Pose). A full body challenge to improve your cardiovascular fitness and strength. Class is punctuated with balancing counter stretches and rest throughout.     As a newcomer to Two Birds, I have been working my way through the rich and wonderful catalog. Holy moly, this one was a sneaky quiet one that was quite an hour! And I have commented several times already, but Fiona, your cueing is the very best. I get so much more because of your guidance and can feel the difference in how I carry myself in everyday life.     O my goodness me this was the toughest class so far for me!!! I have been slowly building my strength after back injury last year and am delighted with practicing yoga that I got as far as this. Thank you so much Fiona you’re fantastic teacher very grounded. Your instructions and given options are superb I have been doing your classes daily for some time and I am absolutely delighted and grateful that I have found your videos. Namaste🙏

    Good,good morning! I have been here before! I forgot how this is hopefully a stamina builder! It is a challenge but a good one! Looks easy but it’s not!

    Bravo! I love this practice! Pendant is coming along , in a very novice way but I love the way my chest and arms feel. I feel like I worked hard but in a good way!

    Wow! What a workout. I may have been shaking all the way through, but every time I do this class I get stronger. Thank you! Love the dog, by the way. Makes me smile with every appearance, especially when he does a downward dog.

      Lol! Yes, the yoga conditioning classes are strong. Great to do to build strength and endurance. I was definitely shaking in my side plank! Ralphie always makes a cameo when I shoot at home.     Hello! I found your classes several weeks ago and have been looooving them!! I have tried numerous online yoga classes/channels/apps and you have become my favourite! This class was the most challenging so far....maybe not the best for a Monday morning! Haha!

    Absolutely amazing!!! Yoga development to the core! Halfway through I got a little annoyed that I didn't know whether to breathe in or out... but by the end, I had worked out the 'proper breath pattern' for yoga. Inhale extend, exhale contract.... I hope this is correct. I have been doing yoga for 2+ years pretty much every day... and thought it humorous that I didn't know the breathing pattern. I feel as though you are truly helping me advance my yoga practice. Love your videos!!

      Oh I’m so humbled to hear this x thank you so much! So many different patterns and techniques for controlling, expanding and containing energy in yoga. Typically, in vinyasa flow, our inhale is associated with expansion and lengthening as it creates space. Our exhale, contracts our abdominals and steadies our centre. We breathe an ujjayi breath theyogaspace.co.uk/blog/PostId/163/uncover-the-mystery-of-ujjayi-breath/ which creates internal heat and the sound of the breath can provide a focus for our attention. The breath techniques in yoga are not intuitive, but learned so I don’t find it surprising that you’ve just clicked with it :-) but great that you have x as you progress, you’ll find and discover for yourself the very subtle and powerful nature of breathing and how it literally can change how you feel and ultimately your wellbeing... more than the mind or body itself.       @@TwoBirdsYoga I so appreciate your reply. Probably been doing ujjayi breath for a year and had no idea what it's purpose was... I only knew it helped somehow. I was telling a friend yesterday that the only thing we have full control over is our breath. Your response enlightens me to think that possibly the way to control the other things we wish we could like our wellbeing, feelings, thoughts and actions is to simply get better control over the breath. Today I did your 30min continuous Vinyasa Flow. I appreciate been challenged by a little of the flow but not all of it. This has happened in all your vids so far. The best bit is I can feel my shoulders strengthening, which I intuitively know will help me advance my practice.

      Bee Elinor your breath and the way you breathe... so true. Great you can feel yourself getting stronger. The 30 min class is strong. Well done for practicing it. I was shaking in my side plank :-) I try to include challenges without being exhausting or too fast in pace. Always just do what you can. And rest when you need to.
