    The mother of Elvis made a good point, as I also said a few times: If you as a teenager/young adult want to “experiment”, your chances are (very) high that you won’t survive!
    Back in the days of my youth we had two ways of “experimentation”: Alcohol and weed. That’s it. And what was the outcome: If you do drink too much alcohol you probably will visit the bathroom and feel miserable the next day. If you smoked too much your fridge was probably empty.
    And now? If you take one counterfeit pill you won’t wake up the next day! And that’s it.
    Holy smokes, in what a time are we living in right now?
    So again a huge Thank you to Glen and his wonderful team for trying to educate people how dangerous Fentanyl is and will be! You can’t say it too often but y’all are doing such an important job!
    Thank you! 🙏

      I understand what you are say although don't forget there are 11,000 drunk driving deaths a year in the US alone. I'm sure a part of those are young people. Alcohol is not so innocent.

    • @5ShotProductions
      @5ShotProductions 3 місяці тому +4

      @@dancelover020 It wasn’t my intention at all to say that Alcohol is innocent! I sadly had a kind of “interaction” wit a drunk driver which resulted in me having 4 major surgeries and now having many titanium screws in my back, so I do have a very “strict” opinion about Alcohol.
      And on top of that: I don’t drink Alcohol at all, since around 25 years now.
      One final thing to mention: Every single DUI related death, regardless if the DUI resulted of Alcohol or Drugs of any kind, is one death too much.

    • @dancelover020
      @dancelover020 3 місяці тому +3

      @@5ShotProductions Sorry to hear about your experience with a drunk driver. I wasn't talking about you specifically but in general. 25 years sober? Wow that's good! I am lucky, I can drink one or two drinks and then stop. But I've sadly seen in my own family how alcohol can kill.

    My mom died when she was 43 due to breast cancer, I was 17 and I remember my Pop Pop George saying a parent should never have to bury their child. While it’s not the same situation, I grew up with Nancy Reagan saying “Don’t do drugs” and we kind of mocked it. If she only knew that her words would be so much different in this day in age. I have two teenage nieces and it scares me to death that this might happen to them. I bless the families and friends affected by this drug and can’t say enough about those that are creating awareness about this killer drug. I watch ever episode you guys make and I hope someday you don’t have to make anymore videos, but unfortunately I feel it won’t be anytime soon. RIP Elvis ❤🙏

    I wanted to express with most cases than not, is too start teaching kids how to deal with the negative people who want to do drugs within their community. Because moving a.child to a different location does not mean that there is less drugs around and the people who use and deal them. Moving from one place to another is not the answer to helping your child minimize the way drugs are presented to them. Thank you and God Bless

    So sorry for the lose of your son . I had my daughter call the phone numbers at the end of each telecast, seeking help for emotional crisis, etc and all they asked if she was suicidal, she said no and very nicely advised her she needed to contact so and so ( saying in essence they couldn’t offer assistance) and Hung up on her, That’s the problem in this country. I have heard so many here tell their terrible sad struggles with their loved ones, them seeking help to no avail l repeat thats the problem here in this country, when a person with needs reaches out - while they can still be helped - there is no help… no funds, no affordable counseling centers, nothing, until the worst scenario happens. Yet, this country GIVES and has billions of dollars in assistance for wars abroad… Beginning with Middle East and Ukraine.

The $20.00 question she asked was valid if it is for the wrong reasons they will give up and go to someone else because it is needed for the wrong reasons. Everything they do should be questioned.

    Back in the ‘good old heroin days’ the process was always the same. Those who got into it, usually around 20 would either get hefty and EARLY help along with motivation from the abuser got maybe 20% clean. The other 80% would overdose and die at 27 or 28. So these people were established drug addicts. Not that way now. One pill to a non-abuser can do the job and end it all. Times have changed. I saw many friends and acquaintances pass at 27-28 after around 7 years of useage of opiates.

    These stories are heart breaking. A common theme is a child is found dead in their home and the parents are forced out of their house due to the investigation. Making it seem the police and investigators are serious about solving the death, and getting justice for the family. But what I see is if the result is found or not then it’s over, I hear of family not getting any answers afterwards. They are ignored, if phone cannot be opened they cannot have it back, or even the phone has been misplaced. Leaving broken families with no answers and no end for their horrible loss. Oh your child was an addict this is what happens. How can this be….? So sad so damn sad for everyone’s loss god bless you all.

    Moms comment about her sister happens all the time and it shouldn’t. Family members have no clue the damage they’re doing when their “tough love” is nothing but tough, blame and anger. NO ONE willingly chooses to be an addict. Yeah maybe they did something stupid that got them started but no one wants to be a total slave to anything. No one wants to be hated nor disappoint the most important people in their lives. And families that respond that way just make the addicted person who now feels like they have nothing to live for-no one that truly cares fall deeper into their addiction. Trust me we all know we could die and we all know if it happens our families will just respond to the news with “we’re not surprised we knew she’d/he’d eventually kill him/her self… Yeah that’s going to give an addictive person hope for the future. No one loves them, no one wants them-hell no one can tolerate them enough to check to see if they’re alive. You have no clue what that realization does to someone already down in life. A doctor (who at the time didn’t know Oxytocin’s were so addictive) started mine. A few years into it as I sat in his office crying and begging for help to get off them he told me I’d be on them the rest of my life bc there was no successful way of getting off them. God got me off them but not until the point I was going to self eliminate myself. Before we can stop addiction in our country we have to understand addiction and all it’s aspects as well as mental illness as it pertains to addiction. Cutting off the supply won’t work if we have nothing in place to help addicts get back on their feet as well as forgive themselves
