    Hi,
We've started getting a battery warning on our alarm.
We're waiting to hear back from the installer (being Sunday we can't get hold of him) but the thing keeps emitting a highly annoying warning nose every few minute or so.
Is there any way of disabling this until we can get the installer to fit the new batteries?

Ho un visonic powermaster 30. C'è un modo per inserire l'allarme quando si è in casa senza attendere il conto alla rovescia? Grazie

hi, if you are using a keyfob to arm the system, pressing the star button on the keyfob during the countdown will automatically help you to skip the countdown. (assuming no one has changed the programming on the keyfob)

When enabling the chime through the "define zone type" do you have to enable it there and also using number 8 on the keypad in order to get the chime working. First time using a powermax express today

is it possible to arm or disarm the powermaster30 alarm system simply by swipping the proximity tag in front of the kp160 touch pad or the kp141 touch pad?

Does anyone know how to connect a wired motion detector to this alarm panel? I tried, but it did not work. It was not simple and easy as the PowerMax version.

Hi, just installed a Powermaster G10. The two PIR's came pre enrolled, additional sensors have been added. Trying to get the PIR's to chime the panel. Modify Device and set chime to melody, changed all default device settings to chime melody, set panel to chime (8). All works fine for first 5-10 mins after installing batteries into PIR's (including LED's activating during detection) but then all LED's on the PIR's go off (even with movement) and chime feature stops. Tampering and resetting a device allows it to work again (with chime) for another 5-10 mins before going 'quiet'. Doing my head in here as I sold the system to the customer on the understanding that this was achievable!! Help!!

+yakbirdAK Did you also enable the CHIME function on the panel itself? It can normally be turned on and off using the "8" button. Both the Chime on the panel and on the device must be turned on for the chime feature to work - this is a rather obscure feature not known to many users.

Yes, both enabled and the door contacts all chime but none of the passives. After installing they go into tamper mode and for the next 10 mins or so they activate normally, LED's come on, chime works. Then after they have timed out the LED's do not work (despite LED function on DEV SETTINGS being set to on) and the chime does not work. I thought the sensors had just gone to sleep but if you set an AWAY alarm they respond perfectly normally except there is still no LED activity on them. Can you confirm if NEXT wireless PIR's do actually remain alive even when the panel is disarmed? I wondered if to conserve battery they are commanded to sleep by the panel until armed. Also as they were supplied pre-enrolled is it possible that they are retaining the default settings that were in place during the enrollment (possibly 'no chime')?

Does the same thing happen to me as well, how did you solve it?

Hi Francesco.. I never did...the system works perfectly in all other respects and customer is happy but after several re-formatting visits the same thing continues...it's as if the PIR's are genuinely only active once commanded by an armed panel. At all other times they seem to be completely dormant and don't send any signals (chime etc.) except (I hope) low battery warnings. LED's also don't trigger on the PIR even when you DO arm them and trigger them...as if they are only fitted to help with positioning and walk test (during which time they DO illuminate when triggered). Visonic really should put out some info on this as it makes it appear as if there is an issue with the panel. Hope you can live with it...it's a great system apart from that!

Hi, exactly the same thing happens with my system in my home.
Door contacts work perfectly with bell function.
I added 2 pir tower 20 but I can not activate the bell function.
The sensors are programmed correctly and the key 8 is inserted.
It seems that with the PIR sensors the bell function works only with the walk test mode .... then they fall asleep

+Vijay Venugopalan What trouble messages are you encountering? As soon as you clear these troubles, the error messages will disappear

+Powermaster-30 How-to Videos I had cleared the causes for the error messages now and the 'READY TRBL' is gone ! Thanks for the reply! May I ask one more Q please? I was trying to clear the event log (as there are shed load of stuff in there which were generated as I was installing and testing) but the 'clear log' option is not coming up whichever way I try. It always defaults to ' to continue'. Any tips please?

+Vijay Venugopalan Before entering the event log, you have to scroll to the right using the arrow button from "LIST OF EVENTS". You will see the "CLEAR EVENT LOG" option.

+Maurice Dee Go to Installer Mode -> Enrolling WL Devices (should be the 2nd option after going into installer mode). Press OK at "Enrolling WL Devices" and then you can scroll to Delete Device/Sensor. Press OK. Scroll to the device you want to delete and press OK. The screen will display . Just hit the DISARM button and the device will be deleted.

Hello, what does the orange triangle mean? I have perform the functions you suggest in your video but I can't get rid of the orange triangle.
    Thanks

    • @powermaster-30how-tovideos34

      Orange triangle = Trouble
"Trouble" could be due to low batteries, tamper switch open, devices missing because batteries have completely run out etc.
to see what Trouble plagues your Powermaster, press OK a few times - each time you press OK , Powermaster will display a different Trouble which is plaguing your system right now.
