What a great job on the green house . Can wait to see your first seedlings and the beginning of your crops for your garden. . And hopefully you guys can stay cool for the rest of the week my cousin told me they put a heat advisory in for you guys. Be safe
Thanks so much!! We were given some plants we plan on planting in there and see how we do. Next spring we get to start seeds in there!! It has been pretty hot for this area and tomorrow is gonna be worse. Trying to keep us, the dogs, the cat and the chickens cool has been difficult. Heat advisory is in effect till Thursday. 🥵
@@HanbleceyaRanch it was about 94° here today in New Jersey he was up in Caribou today and he said it was nearly 100° there
It got to around 95° here but with humidity and all it felt like 103°
@@HanbleceyaRanch well it's Thursday morning and it's about quarter after 8:00 and its already 90° here and go run to the store and get a five pound bag of ice to put into my koi ponds

Make sure you add extra screws too all the edges that hang over,the wind catches there,as i lost part of mine like this.lovely job.☘️🇮🇪👏👏👏🙏🏻🙏🏻🔨🔨

Thanks! We are so happy how it turned out!! Poured foundation would cost quite a bit. We have some plants in there right now that a friend gave us and with these hot temperatures we are having the plants are doing great in there and not drying up like the rest of the garden. We have lots of plans for the inside but we have to wait till this heat breaks. It’s unbearable. We really appreciate Alan coming and giving us a hand with it. It was a huge help!! Nice work on the greenhouse you 3! Im sure that will extend your growing season nicely in the coming years! The wife and I finaly decided its time to head up your way and look at land so tickets/house/car booked for mid August! Gonna check out as much of northen Maine as we can in the 8 days we are staying and hopefully we will get a feel for where we want to look for land to build our forever homestead on!

I was wondering why it is a hybrid build of wood and Poly. Most greenhouses are completely poly, glass or plastic material. But then I guess the winds you get get later in the year dictate a stronger structure. Looks good. Should be able to plant all year round in there. Well done "I am not a contractor, so am winging it"......Next is the Garage?
We went with this design for several reasons… stay tuned as I’ll explain in an upcoming video. 👍

Did you give any thought to sinking the greenhouse down 3'-4' below ground?
I remember there was drainage issues & may have aided your design.
A gutter and a few barrels with over flow and boiler valves would be nice.

Thank you for the support! Because we have such a high water table, we’d most likely have a shallow pool! 😂 we are planning on a rain catchment for the greenhouse so stay tuned! 😊
Curious. Is there a reason you chose a wooden structure greenhouse instead of a polytunnel ( hoop house?) We will be moving on to our land in Maine the end of July and for now my husband has built two large cold frame beds up against the shed there. Once we move up the first job will be to build the house obviously but we are researching a wooden greenhouse or a tunnel for next Spring… interested in hearing yours and others thoughts.

Our greenhouse is located inside the fence that protects our garden so we’re not too worried about critters. 😊
