I LOVE Panorama, but as a Wiz*One I get a little emotional when I watch the video because it was basically their disbandment song (it was the last comeback from them before they disbanded)

I don’t know if you’ve heard of LIGHTSUM, but they have a song called Vivace that many people think was supposed to be IZ*ONE’s final song. IZ*ONE’s albums were sets of 3. The first was the IZ series, and the second was the ONE series, which was never concluded with a full album like the IZ series was. The fan theory is that IZ*ONE was supposed to have a total of 6 releases within 2.5 years, but the Produce scandal and their subsequent hiatus threw off the schedule. Things were looking good for a contract extension up until right before their One, The Story concert in March 2021, but suddenly one or two companies pulled out and disbandment took place. It’s very possible that IZ*ONE was planning to release another full album after their concert/contract extension, with Vivace as the title track, to finish up the ONE series. Everything about Vivace from the sound to the structure to even the outfits scream IZ*ONE, and it was released a few months after their disbandment. There are other pieces to support this theory. We had knowledge of other unreleased songs like Parallel Universe, which they sang at their concert, and the Korean version of Yummy Summer, which could have definitely been on this full album. Also, their debut La Vie en Rose was actually supposed to be a comeback for CLC under Cube, but Cube sold the song to IZ*ONE’s management and they cancelled CLC’s comeback. Cut to a few years later, Cube’s new girl group has a song that sounds just like and IZ*ONE song. Cube owned both of these, whose to say they didn’t own other IZ*ONE songs, or songs that could have been IZ*ONE? Not to mention, one of the members of LIGHTSUM was one of the girls who was rigged out of IZ*ONE. In her own way, it was her opportunity to show that she would have fit the image of IZ*ONE and had no just reason to be rigged out. And she was right, she slayed. Just some neat info if you ever come across Vivace and wonder what it reminds you of!

Fun fact, their synchronicity in their dance practices became a meme because some evil genius decided to use computer software to analyze their timing in comparison to some other famous groups and they were consistently the most in sync nearly every time. The members even sometimes mentioned it jokingly during their vlives lol.
Panorama breaks my heart, because it's a great song (compositionally), it's a great video, the members look amazing, the editing and choreo are great, all of it, and it's basically their disbandment song. BUT. (this is the heartbreaker): Whoever produced it decided that it should be sung and then studio processed in the HIGHEST THINNEST voices possible. Everyone in the song sounds 5 years old or some kpop version of Alvin and the Chipmunks, and it drives me nuts. I really wish kpop producers stopped forcing idols, particularly GG idols, to sing in high thin nasal little girl voices. It's creepy and hurts what what otherwise be an incredible song (for me).

Honestly, I think a fun concept for a Throwback series episode would be to do episodes for the Produce Groups. I.O.I and Wanna One are basically Iz*One’s big brother and big sister group. Both groups had even SHORTER contracts than Iz*One and both only really have 4 - 6 MVs so each can’t really a full throwback episode on their own, but those two groups have produced (ha!) some big names in the industry and are such an important part of Kpop history
