@letmechangemyyoutubename1554 I'd love to give you everything I had except you'd have to fly down into null sec to get it or hire High Sec Carebears (my corp) to transport everything except my super carrier to you
Maybe I'm sort of nostalgic, but after 5+ years, I feel that the story, choice of music and voice acting of this video is better than most high budget movies being released
I watch this awesome gem at least once a year. When it first came out I was almoat 7yrs into eve. I stopped playing shortly after part 3 came out. And here I am, now, married and have 4 kids. Still watching an amazing movie and a trip down memory lane. Thank You for making Clear Skies. 😊
I just started in November and have only today stumbled across this video. I wish I had started earlier so I had more play time on my characters, being restricted by skills is tough! Absolute blast of a game though
@@BlackMagicBliss eve has a lot of epic old fan made vids. Check out clear skies 1-3 and at this point I'm not sure a 4 will ever happen as it has been hinted and promised at several points but no concrete stuff yet. EvE has amazing vids, most are older.
I remember watching this years ago when i was still a freshmen in college totally into eve, had lots of laughs. This past month, now out of college, workingman i got back to eve and remembered this show, still as funny as ever. hope ya'll doing great in life :) and thanks for the laughs and nostalgia.
It's the EVE Online references that push me over my limit into giggle fits. "Were more jammed than the Jita stargate" "Why don't I just put on an armor repper and go clog the unlock port?" LMAO.
This actually ranks as one of my favorite movies ever... I mean it's a three part series, but the writing and animation through Gmod and Eve, is so much better than so many movies out there... So, I really love this, and why it's not the first or last time I'll watch this. Just thanks for making Clear Skies, this is amazing. (From a non-Eve player who dabbles in many, many nerd fandoms.)
Sol: I think you've upset him. Charlie: I *know* you've upset him. John: The way he disconnected in a sulk? *boom!* Charlie: Nope. The way he launched torpedoes at us.
This is awesome. With the recent graphic upgrades to Eve imagine how amazing this would look. The visual damage alone would make a big difference. Still really enjoy this as it is.
I may have mentioned something like this years ago, maybe many miles of posts down there, about how brilliant this piece of youtube history is. Made by some random, really talented blokes, using the half-life engine. This was a huge passion project.
I wanted to say.. thank you. My mom was huge into Eve and introduced me to these movies and I am so happy I found them again. They molded a big part of my childhood and I loved watching them growing up. Thank you for making them. Thank you!!!!! I love the content here and it was so lovely to grow up watching!!!
27:47 onward is just great filmmaking. Shot angles, cuts, music, dialogue - everything. So much action! It also kinda re-lives the anticipation I had everytime before going into battle in eve. And the gunnery part at 28:09 is just F*KCING AWESOME. My fav. quote: 29:15 "Sir, they're firing some sort of exotic ammunition at us." "Really?! Well, FIRE SOME OF OUR NON-EXOTIC MISSILE BACK!!"
First time I've seen this, I'm really, REALLY impressed. It's just outright well made regardless but when you consider the limitations and the game engine...just wow.
Yes ... now it's just these anemic coughs and wheezes. Pathetic. I still remember fondly my very first hours in EVE about a decade ago. I was a tiny 'Tar in a Breacher with no clue whatsoever yet, trying not to get killed in a total newbie mission, not even enough isk for half a thrasher, when some guy decided to help me (in a Catalyst fitted with artillery. Yes, projectile artillery.) popping the little red dots that kept giving me so much grief. As he was going to work, I had zoomed in on his ship, marveling at the little spinny thing, when suddenly he launched his first volley with my virtual ears practically next to his ship. It was so loud I nearly shat myself, and I fell instantly in love with those guns. Today, I can only weep at the uncoordinated stuttering that make me think that I have nothing but misfires every damn cycle. Charlie Fodder Remembers
@@Anvilshock Back when I played, a friend joined me when I was cruising around in a battleship and fired off my 1400's, I knew he had earphones one and warned him to turn it down. He didn't and almost shat himself as well before wooping with excitement. Charlie Fodder Remembers !

I saw this show for the first time about 3 years ago, and there are still people watching it and with good reason. Goes to show you, you don't need to be fancy to make something good.
Having just been to the HEK System for the first time ever this morning I can honestly say that I agree with "HEK, Unfortunatly". Can't wait to watch the other two clear sky's this one is epic so far! Awesome job to whomever did this!
HOW MUCH??!! ...The statement muttered out loud by any Marauder pilot that asked a station to repair his hull damage. Normally I just clog up the dock after strapping on repair modules, they all can go around me.
It's 2020. Quarantine 'Rona is in full sweep and I'm watching this again (for the 3rd time). Haven't seen it for a couple years, and I'm back again because it's still best of 2020 as far as movies go..
I have watched this series way too many times, if I could go back in time and count how many times I’ve watched it I don’t think anyone could comprehend
nice work! throughout the episodes it got even better. Better framing, less jumping axis, better "acting" animation...impressive...and very enjoyable to watch!
In Eve Online you can man an Avatar-Class Titan with one guy. The setting takes place in the very far future where computers are complex and can do a lot of things for you, including man many systems that would normally take a crew of several hundred to operate. Clear Skies made Eve a lot more fun by taking out the Capsuleer concept (essentially the brain of a ship) and replacing it with an actual crew of relatable people.
Halcyon Industries If i were a captain in New Eden, I would avoid the capsule so i have more freedom and I hate small spaces. I'll still keep clones of myself just in case.
Captain Salt You do realize the capsule is what ensures said captain can be resurrected when his ship blows up, right? It's the price paid by a capsuleer. You may not necessarily have any freedom beyond your ship's bridge, which is composed of a small space just barely big enough for you to move around in, but the tradeoff is that if your ship gets blown up and your pod with it, you can be recloned in a station the instant you die. Thus, you are made immortal. Or something like that. That may be the game fluff versus the actual lore. I dunno.
Love this series of videos. its hilarious and the script is funny too. Pity there will not be anymore as this still makes me laugh after watching it many times over
I must have seen these a billion times and the jokes still gets me, is still fun and interesting. Kinda great when people put their soul and sweat into their work, it becomes timeless.

But I'm here reliving nostalgia with this triology
the characters just ooze personality in clear skies, and so surprisingly well voiced and written as well. it astounds me every time i see it.
