I'm catching up again on a major scale! So much as been going on. Anyway, Tommy's quilt is beautiful, something which will be treasured. Listening to your Mum and how life was makes you realise how easy our lives have become. Thank you again for your chinwag. I've missed it and will not get so behind again.
That was lovely thank you. Your mum was as wonderful as she always is. The quilt and matching bag are beautiful, such a wonderful thing for Tommy to treasure. Have a lovely week xx
Thank you, Pene, for another lovely variety of things for me to listen to and watch in this week’s episode! The quilt is beautiful - I am certain that it will be treasured. The chat with your mum was so interesting - I just love learning about our social history, and to hear it from someone who actually experienced it is very special. Thanks for all the things that you shared today - looking forward to the next episode! 😊❤️
Aw Penny this episode has been a joy to watch 😍 the image you conjured up in my mind of the gorgeous sea otter pups floating like little fluffy corks in contrast to your dear mum’s early dumplings sinking in the sea!!! 😛😂😍 Enjoying your TA slot… you’re a wonderful teacher 🙏🥰💞 in fact I love it all … ref to Scilly isles thankyou so much … seeing and remembering that white sand 🥰💖… Absolute Joy 🤩
There is a baby book called Together by Emma Dodd that is illustrated in sea otters. I just love them! My granddaughter was living in California when she was a toddler and otters are common off the coast so I got a copy for her. Your great grands may like some of her books they are all very sweet.
I'll take a look, thanks. We don't get to see otters here. However we have visited The Isle of Mull off the coast of Scotland and was so excited to see them there.
Thank you so much for sharing your history and life activities. So special. Trish from PA USA
Beautiful quilt for Tommy… of course he will love it … how could he not 😂😝 and matching bag!!! You really are everso clever!! Xxx

Mum loved the contrast you painted with regard to her dumplings! Happy your memories of the Scillies were jogged.
Oh gosh Penny, the rouched nylon swimming costumes, as a child of the 5”’s (like you), I remember mine as though it was yesterday. 👍😀
Unforgettable!
