I saw this in a movie theater tonight and loved it. In my opinion, the acting was good. I like it this way much better than in the old days. Just imagine if Pavarotti would have played the lover. Horrible!!

But - despite Adina's claim, Dulcamara *did* deceive him! He just gave Nemorino a bottle of wine and then ran off, but Adina loved him anyway (even though she just realized it).

Анна великолепна. Интересно было бы услышать итальянские арии и песни в её камерном исполнении. Русские романсы она исполнила блестяще. Наслаждаться её голосом, когда не мешают ни струнные ни духовые оркестра дорогого стоит.

Hmmm...this version "looks pretty" for a movie theater. The singing, on the other hand, is horrible. Ms. Netrevko's coloratura is sloppy. She misses several notes. Her breath control and support is also poor. She cuts phrases to grasp for air. I think I prefer the MET productions with Battle or Ruth Ann Swenson.

And to many pauses between the coloratura parts,Anna missed few notes in that,she hasn`t the precise coloratura that a REAL COLORATURA SOPRANO HAS!!! The notes must be accurate,clear as CRISTAL,it`s like sparkling a glass...that shoud be!!! Karajan had opinions about coloratura interpretations and that is the fact he selected such EPIC SOPRANOS:K.Battle,Sumi JO...etc.Please ``MET``,consider that putting ANNa in such roles only kills her voice that is a more round and heavy one!

This role isn’t meant to be sung by a coloratura. More like a lyric with coloratura which is what Anna was back then. Now she’s more of a full lyric.

Polenzani`s diction=HORRID....this is not how it should sound!!!! This is not italian!!!It`s a mixt of english and italian thing!!!And listen to Anna carefully!!!I don`t understand a word what she is saying!

Miss Netrebko's voice is too heavy and dark for the part. See the proper voice of Pretty Yende at the same production.

What is this ?Are the Met-organizers and managers stupid?...Take a few moments and listen to Netrebko`s voice....In my opinion she doesn`t fit the role....Adina is somewhat spinto,liric but not this kind of round and heavy voice with captured coloratura that doesn`t fits Anna!!! Gheorghiu is much better!!!....And orchestra is a shame.....above all the Met is gowing down!!!

She has a son, women's body changes especially during pregnancy, she's still beautiful, weight doesn't change that...
