I am a migraine sufferer and have found out that mine are menstrual migraine and I'm still trying to figure it out. I have gone about 3 yrs without suffering from a migraine but recently I have been getting more of them that I've gone back on medication which I don't like. I don't wish this on anyone it's the worst thing to suffer from. Praying for a cure.

When I started birth control, that started my journey with migraines that lasted three days. Never vomited though. Stopped birth control and migraines almost went away, but when I had one, it was minimal. When I got close to menopause years, the migraines increased and intensity increased to numbness and vomiting and one stay in the hospital that was labeled a stroke bc of paralysis and blindness on one side that all symptoms resolved in two days. I think it was a hemiplegic migraine.

Hey some birth control pills trigger migraines, you have to check with the doctor to change them because there two types of birth control one of them can have 2 hormones the other just 1. Also check if your iron doesn't drop after period because if it does it means you have anemia which triggers migraines and physical pain in your muscules and to solve it => take 10g of spirulina daily. Finally to avoid migraines try a healthy life style in terms of food and 8+ hours of sleep.

I've been using cephaly for about a month. You can modulate the intensity so its not to bad but I always do max. If the electrode starts to loosen you will feel pain so make sure its sticking good. I think it helps but 400 dollars is a rip off the company is really taking advantage of migrane suffers and esentialy selling a 10 dollar tens unit for 400 dollars then charging 10 dollars for each electrode when you need a replacement. BOTTOM LINE IT SEEMS TO WORK BUT VERY COSTLY FOR A CHEAP UNIT.Alex Bryant

Instant migraine fix.not medication not food not lifestyle or stress reduction. I did all of the above and no change. Over 20 years of suffering and impact to living a full live. Solution blocked right coronary artery. As soon as stent opened the artery my migraine symptoms left straight away. You see any impact to blood flow impacts blood to brain and areas of you brain most sensitive to inviting your migraine. Get your heart arteries check and if in doubt do angioplasty where they send a camera through your heart arteries.Well no more time to talk I have 20 years of missed life to catch up on. Luckily he didn't die, but he did look like he instantly gained 30 pounds from the full body swelling, not to mention the several fractures from the impact, and even more lacerations from being dragged on the pavement and rocks!
Oh yeah... and after several days his entire body looked like a kaleidoscope of Reds, Purples, Blues, and Brown bruising!!

I rather taking a more neurologist advised approach and giving the time to my body to rest, plenty liquids and not heavy meals and essential oils might be taken like the ultimate fake treatment but in my case peppermint, eucalyptus, lavender, rosemary (I actually buy a blend of 31 herbs) help me as aromatherapy. DO YOU GET MIGRAINES OFTEN, not sometimes, but OFTEN? Up until earlier this year I had 3 to 5 all day migraines every week for 5 years straight (my brain tumor wasn’t the reason nor was my tonsils which are both now removed) and the only thing that finally got rid of them permanently is 120mg propranolol per day (40 mg regular which is a green pill and 80mg extended release / work your way up to 120mg) and at home one shot per month of Emgality. It’s an epiPen style case so you don’t see the needle. It stings like crazy for 5 seconds max and the pain (stinging sensation) is gone instantly after. Do it in the thigh and alternate each month to each thigh. You have to give Emgality 4 months to really work. It will work! But Propranolol really helps keep it gone. Emgality weakens the migraines. One shot lasts 30 days in the system.
I did not exaggerate, I really suffered that much and did a lot of trial and error. Of course I went to the chiropractor, got massages, ate very healthy, worked out but it’s hard to be active when you have all day migraines and NONE of that helped until I took those specific meds. Obviously I’m the victim not the doctor so screenshot my message and simply bring this up to your doctor. I’m helping you prevent years of trial and error. This IS a one size fit all solution for anyone with weekly migraines for years aka chronic migraines. My headache doctor at Stanford and my headache doctor at UCSF got me to this lovely point.
If your insurance doesn’t approve Emgality then call your insurance and ask them to do a ‘prior authorization’. Then make sure before your doctor receives that paper work to fill out for the insurance they know this is the best option that way you’ll actually get approved. You’ll get approved no matter the insurance.
When I use to get a migraine I would take a cocktail of meds recommended by the ER. 2 ibuprofen, 2 Tylenol, one Nurtec. Swallow the pills after you eat something. It can be a banana or a hand full of nuts. It got me by for 2-3 days of no pain. Nurtec is in the same class as Emgality expect it’s a dissolvable tablet you place on your tongue. It doesn’t taste bad at all. It’s like a light minty flavor. You can take this before or after the pills. But do it around the same time not hours a part.
It’s now May and I haven’t had one migraine since January!!!!! And yes I believe in a higher power and honey that’s not what helped me through this journey. Medication did and I hate taking meds. Good luck.
