    August 3rd, 2020 (Session 52) - Fulfilling my promise to my followers on Instagram, I went to some weedy swamps in Philadelphia for some "TOP WATER EXPROSIONS!!!" Read more about it below:
    Did you know that...?
    🎑...The pink vintage Arbogast Jitterbug portrayed in the video is a very old model. Not only the lure is extremely difficult to find, but the last one was sold on eBay for $46.50 (ebay.to/31GbmPv). That's why I don't use that lure often -- I don't want to lose it. 😅
    🎑...The law in Pennsylvania states that an angler SHOULD kill a Northern Snakehead (Channa argus) if caught in the waters of the commonwealth, meaning that the angler has the choice of releasing the fish if he/she only practices CPR. At the John Heinz Wildlife Refuge -- where the video was shot, they have stricter rules that go over the state rules. If an angler catches a Northern Snakehead in the refuge, they MUST kill it -- without exceptions.
    🎑...Occasionally, a Bowfin (Amia calva) is caught at the John Heinz Wildlife Refuge. The fish is classified as "candidate" in Pennsylvania, meaning that its population has been in decline over the years.

      @@joez8658 You do know that Largemouth Bass are non-native to pennsylvania, with the exception of the great lakes watersheds, right? it wasn't until canals were built that their range expanded beyond the lakes. additionally humans have purposefully moved the largemouth bass all over the place, currently they are on the top 100 invasive species in the world list. I think its pathetic that anglers do not even understand the basic history and biology of their own fisheries, but will imediately go on to simultaneously defend one non-native, but vilify another.

    • @joez8658
      @joez8658 4 роки тому

      YOA Ownage HD Yes I know that bass are not native and were introduced to Pennsylvania around 1825. Ecosystems have obviously been able to support them and now a days there so developed it would be impossible to remove. Now that there's a new invasive species, why not do what we can do to limit them as two apex predators could devastate the ecosystems. Where I live in CT we have no snakeheads, and I know if I start to see them I will kill them to protect the ponds and rivers here
