Hi James oh my goodness I’m am doing the Happy 😃 Dance 💃 my Husband Larry has Reversed from stage 4 back to stage 3 CKD 🙌🏻❤️ by helping me to understand about the “Lifestyle” change in diet his 7 week GFR 30 was 22 !!!! Creatinine level 2.13 was 2.89 !!! Thank you 🙏🏻 Sir James , Larry got his flu shot 💉 yesterday 🙌🏻 I as his Wife & Caregiver appreciate your channel ❤️
Good morning, James. Thanks for the T-zone reminder. Takes me back to teenage acne days....haha. Some terminology can be recycled, I guess. Well, it's familiar so it will be easy to remember. 😉😉
Great video you’re always very inspirational and you are spot on with all your information I always love to hear you talk because you inspire me to just carry on with my life and make it the best I can
Doing great here - been so busy with work and traveling. Have so much to share, so new videos coming soon. I've teamed up with a lot of great people to bring so much more information and help others kick kidney disease to the curb in 2020! I'm also trying something new and will be sharing lab results from before and after in late January - it could be HUGE. So far it's looking great and I can't wait to see if it is the one thing that really gets my BUN and Creatinine dropping even more. Stay tuned!
James, someone told me that if we as a kidney patient suddenly get a flu and sneezing, it means our creatinin is getting higher at that time. Is it true???
Thank you but it is all owed to the people I work with. My Primary Care Physician, the Nephrologist, the Dietitians, etc. They have given me this information and I am just sharing it along with my experience. This is a great example of how powerful something as simple as knowledge can be. Without them who knows where I would be today.
I will be doing an update next week - but I switched to vegetarian and my labs improved (Creatinine and GFR) but some areas got borderline of being within range. I then modified my diet and got new labs 2 weeks later and some things improved and others went down. It is a tough balancing act and my docs and I are going to try a different strategy for the next month or two. I will be sharing details coming up.
Hi James, you have another great video! I just have a question, I am stage 3 kidney disease, but also have a bad back, my back pain is from doing heavy lifting at work, at night I lay on my stomach and put a heating pad on my lower back for 20 minutes on each side (left hip, right hip area) and I know that my kidneys are also in that area, do you think I am doing any harm to my kidneys with the heating pad on me? I know that it certainly does help my back. Thank you in advance for your reply.
No problem with the heating pad - it is also helpful for getting blood flowing. Using the heated seats in your car is also helpful. I too have a bad back from a driver who ran an intersection 2 years ago and I use this amzn.to/2MLtd1g for pain and increased blood flow. It pretty much vibrates your entire body, feels amazing, it is like a massage while you are standing. You can also sit on it for even more back action.
I did try using some meal replacement drinks by my doctors had me stop due to high potassium and phosphorus in them. My dietitian recommended Nephro drinks designed for kidney patients ( amzn.to/39COkeE ). I never used them as a meal replacement - but I did like to freeze them and use them as an ice-cream desert! Mix in some blueberries and WOW!
I don't know - that is certainly a question for your doctor. For me, my kidney pain went away after removing foods that caused inflammation. Another bonus for me was that my protein leakage then went down to 0. Really important (in my experience) to eat a low inflammation diet. Some people, like me, also have to avoid soy to relieve our kidney pain. Good luck!

This happens with on CKD patients too..Creatinine increases with any fever or illness..In CKD patients Acute Kidney Injury can happen
You are amazing! Thanks 😊.
