The battle change effect is because you have to SS the monsters when you tag them back in DEF mode. It allows you to attack with one of them (I mean its not a big thing but just a thing lol). Though I legit don't know why we are downplaying summoning the Link4 with bonds lol. It isn't so much "Win More" but "Removal Dodge and I summon a bigger monster and immediately get back a card (if on my turn) or interruption (if on opponents turn) ALONG with the fact you can add the banished spell/traps (which you do with Ulti-Cannahawk). Literally just recycling your Steeds & Bonds.
The whole anti-effect tribute floodgate effect is.....really just......bleh though (even with lore involved). The new Fusion though is basically what the deck needed to go against Niberu or board wipes by being able to access your grave (and most likely banishing new Lara to SS from deck). the important thing is just you don't summon that monster at ALL unless you know the opponent doesn't have a Nib in hand. Because you fucked up if you just go ahead and summon it early on and you get Nib'd after.

This new Lara is basically neptabyss for ritual beasts.
It came out years after the rest of the deck and fixes nearly every problem the deck had. It does EVERYTHING.
The Deck is now a lot more consistent with like a billion different combinations of starters, great extenders into interruption. It actively makes use of Shifter as a Combo enabler and extender (which also insulates against Droll), E-Tele is worth it again as both starter and extender now, but it seems like making SP mid-combo is still our best answer against Nib.
That can’t be right. Ulti-Gaiapelio is an not once per turn omni negate. With that new fusion it’s significantly easier to summon. There must be some way to incorporate midway through the combo to stop Nibiru.
@@WhatsUrName0o7 With the new fusion that's technically possible to do under 5 Summons, but it uses up a lot of ressources, since you can't cheat it out with Bond. But the deck overall is so flexible now, there might as well be a reliable line we haven't found yet.
You can use kimunfalco to make sp then use sp to banish kimunfalco from grave and use the new fusion to summon it back so you can tag out
E tele is not a starter on its own unless i am missing something
@@gennaro3107 not by itself, that's true. The one card combos in the deck are Cannahawk and Rampengu, but both lose immediately to Veiler/Imperm. Instead, you aim to get to any combination of cards that get you a Tamer and a Beast on field. And with that in mind, E Tele + any Name is Combo.
Its fine that the Link 4 isnt super nuts. If you could cheat this guy out with bonds and he did smth really crazy like evenly match your opponent, i could see that being an issue
Nah. Konami wouldn't do that... Unless it's super generic and splashable in any deck as an engine, then they'll ban minor parts of the engine until they ban it before the next major set where they rinse and repeat.
Ritual beast was the first deck in the TCG that made me want to bring a pillow to locals

Cannahawk loops can lead to solid boards and it has a built-in dodge to Imperm/Veiler. We'll have to check how chaining one effect to the other works though

@@christianacosta4846 true the game need custom-esque cards to be decent in today metagame, if genex hadn't receive the link it would be still garbage, I think if we were to really call a card "custom" it would need to be something literally written "win the game" or have 5 different effects (and that would even be hard since pendulums can easily achive this)

@@christianacosta4846 Lara is a custom card in that she's what an RB hardcore fanboy would put on a card, just overloaded with basically ideal effects en masse (even custom cards don't push it with 3 great effects on one card) and not 1 effect per turn but opt per effect. Lara existing currently retroactively made Rampengu and Cannahawk 1 card combo in an archetype that didn't have one b4. She's utterly mental. She also doesn't just become a new deck by herself, she made older cards just 1 card combos. This isn't like Superheavy Samurai or anything like that
I never learned what Ritual Beasts actually do outside of looping their monsters a million times per turn. To me it's like they have no other effects.
I think your win con is old age.
At the start its board control and synchros but with the Synchro monster Gusto Sphreez, you can crash your low statted gustos that loop infinitely into each other and use Sphreez's effect to make your opponent take the damage from the battles.
There's a new archetype I think that is basically just Sphreez the archetype with the opponent take the damage effecr but I can't remember the name atm

@@HazeEmryyou're thinking of Mikanko. They're all 0-attk monsters that can't be destroyed by battle and reflect battle damage
They search backrow that's essentially aoe non targeting destruction, now they have a banish and a continuous spell that stops things from getting run over. The other trap also recurs the entire board and attacks massively for game.
you spend a hundred years to search out a couple backrows and load up your banished pile with different names to tag into for more searching

summoning apelio and battle pos change is huge as you usually use him to basically add 1000 attack to each monster. This deck already could OTK fairly easily without interruptions but now it’s strengthened with tools to dodge/play through multiple negates, especially new Lara

I think the new link 4 Sky Striker will go great in Unchained decks. After turn 1 when they'll no longer be fiend-locked, you can use Anguish to go into the rank 4. Or stick with Accesscode. Still, option's an option.

Striker isn't running that link 4. It can't replace accesscode since if you're commiting the resources making a link 4 you're ending the game as Striker not stalling with a negate. It'll only see play in something like endymion or spiral or whatnot that's running a bunch of spells.
Yeah I was thinking can SS even afford going for this with their playstyle. Clearly they can since you said they can make Accesscode but how and why? I thoight they only focus on having like 1 or 2 cards on the board
@@HazeEmry You chain Shark Cannon's and/or Widow Anchor's to yank over at least 2 enemy monsters. Then get a Raye or Roze on the field, link climb into Access using whatever you had sitting in the EMZ, then pop anything in your way and swing for game. Because you're investing so much into that you can't really afford to sit on it so it has to be a game ending play which the new link 4 cannot do.

@@HazeEmry We still technically need a light link 1, since there's supposed to be another suit for Raye, and a dark link 1 monster for linkage, since Zeke, Azalea, and Camilla are all link 2's and must be link summoned. It wouldn't really mess with the playstyle as you almost never use Kaina outside of an emergency so it's only a 1 of so we do have room in the ED for something else even if it's a bit full right now.
Realistically though the only thing Striker "needs" is an in-archetype searchable DD Burial to get back banished cards with a 3 spell effect to shuffle back a few grave cards to recycle the links without needing pot of avarice, since that's really the only thing the deck needs to function in the banish heavy metas we keep going in and out of.

Does this mean we'll get new Shaddoll and Zefra cards soon? We're getting support for all the other duel terminal decks. I really want Chosen of Zefra to be playable someday..
Also I'm really glad to see they are naming cards properly so you can actually search them in archetype. There's a lot of decks that are unplayable simply because of card names.
We won't necessarily get support for any other duel terminal archetypes. All of the recent Duel Terminal support is part of a soon-to-release OCG pack called Terminal World, and we know basically all the cards in it now. If they decide to make Terminal World 2 sometime in the near future, that could contain additional duel terminal support, but right now we don't have confirmation of that
Ah well hopefully.. Some of the stuff are still splashable but some archetypes have mostly been forgotten about.
Konami does seem to be bringing back a lot of old archetypes and doing a lot of retrains lately. It definitely could happen if people like the set.
when zefra gets new cards they will just become part of synchro pile or satellar or w/e as another part of the wyrm engine with niu unfortunately
@@fortidogi8620 Probably.. Most zefra decks are already just piles of pendulums and tuners but maybe someday they'll get a boss monster of their own that actually does something. :P

And I'm not sure ariel did something big but I think she and a few other gishki fellas became nekroz while winda and some gusto folks became rb

I'm still hoping that the DT archetypes that got some trickle of support previously can still receive new stuff. Specially Lavals. I want cards that make Molten Conduction Field + Handmaiden look like they belong on the limited list.

Then again seven and go are pretty trash so they have nothing to lose testing this out. If it does happen they'll most likely do it for sky striker first since there's actually a manga and everything for it.

@@sammydray5919 I think it's a little of both. A lot of people from what I read find it annoying how many episodes it take explaining the rules and monsters do look like shit in seven go. I'm a major galaxy-eyes simp that fell in love with them after seeing them in the anime cause of kite and I was offended how bad the ace actually looked when it was summoned and on the field. It looks terrible even in the opening and all I could think of is look how they massacred my boy. The worst is the card art in game looks amazing though. I'm petty and that reason is why I can never watch that shit and the fact I don't care about rush duel in general.

Still wonder whats the deal with Ritual Beasts. I mean yeah you can tag in and out harder than Gladiator Beasts, but at least G.Beasts can do damage and have effects when tagging in. What does R.Beasts do?
Tag out, set traps that you search and activate shifter (you also play wynn the wind channeler so if you don't draw shifter you probably will draw one of your 6 drolls) other than that nothing, just waste time
I have been testing and i think playing 1 elder, lara and wen is the way forward canna and rampengu are 1 card combos for new fusion and canna on feild and 3 searches
the link 4 can also stop virus cards....which is neat
Legacy support with weird Lore relevant floodgate effects is always fun.
9/10 games it doesn't matter, but every now and then it comes up and your opponent is utterly confused why your card has a random hidden effect.
Pretty fun, when I play Mayakashi and it comes up that Yuki-Onna just has a continuous effect to negate all activated effects in the opponents banish zone due to Shiranui Lore.
That sky striker card is a generic omni negate and a pop it shoud insane in master duel spyral

As degen as it is this is the best combo deck that can play under gozen, tcboo,shifter exactly now gozen and tcboo are at 1 so the deck has no chance at doing anything
To clarify the Duel Terminal lore: Noellia and Natalia unsealed the Steelswarm to fight the Fabled, and Natalia died for it. Noellia, grieving, was subtly possessed by the Steelswarm virus, which would go on to slowly corrupt her into being a supervillain. She adopted Avance, Natalia's son, and raised him along with her own daughter Emilia, going on to found the Gishki tribe. They would go on to genocide the Gustos and Noellia specifically tried to resurrect the big boss of the Steelswarm using evil sacrificial magic; namely sacrificing Emilia for it. However, Avance was Not Evil, and tried to bring her back to life. Avance was also however Not Good At Evil Magic, so he messed up and became Evigishki Levianima. He did eventually get better, and Noellia got the evil smacked out of her too. Noellia then used some Not Evil Evil Magic to bring Emilia back to life properly this time, defends the two from Evilswarm Zielgigas, and teaches the Constellars how to Unsummon Dragons.
Duel Terminal lore is complicated and wild, and this is just a single fragment of it. Love this shit.

It pisses me off so much that three archetypes got massive consistency boost to their playstyle, while Infernoid remains stuck in Snake-Eye or death.

The new support has a better Card Destruction that is better for infernoid since a single add doesn't add as much fuel + an incredible miller that is like Grass going second who also searches + a boss with both interruption and mass removal that floats into a negate.
Then to top it off, the new Promethean link 3 loops Decatron AGAIN while it provides another interruption+ easy climb to the new link 4 while Snake-eyes outright break Decatron by summoning it 4 times.
What more would you need? Don't forget infernoid already has a strong core to begin with (especially compared to the other 3)

The ice barrier stuff doesn't change it at all, it's still water combo.
And Genex is still completely fragile and reliant on 1 card to win

Also I wouldn't even go as far to say its awful tbh (well by todays standards its awful), but awful implies it was always like that, when objectively....that's false lol. In the Shadoll/Nekroz launch era it managed to actually stay on par with them (though once they stopped getting support while the other 2 continued, they ate dust).

My comment was more so in regards to one of the chatters in MBT's chat saying to play it at 3. Which , you can only do in OCG formats.
Also, Droll only stops the potential other draws and card searching. I know Droll absolutely ends turns for some decks, but, it doesn't negate Upstart.
