Agree, when did appreciation for instrumentals go out of style. I know there is pressure to add a vocalist, but that vocalist better be a superstar cause these kids deserve nothing less!! The beauty here is I can hear the blending of each sound and no vocals to distract from it. I hate growling and often miss great bands with great songs because the growling just takes away from the musicianship (IMHO) but NOT HERE!!!
These three are incredible, they're leaps and bounds more skilled than 95% of musicians (myself included) who have been playing for decades. They weren't even born when my friends and I first picked up instruments and can outplay most all of us...they seriously must do nothing but play, eat, sleep and excrete...Really, really interested to see them when they're mentioned in the same breath a Bruford or Petrucci in a few years time. Kudos to all three of them, consummate musicians and you can see they actually feel what they're playing...brilliant...
Damn! That was awesome!!! Was Watching Steve Vai Tender Surrender and this came up in the suggestions and glad that it did. Must look into this group a lot more.
Rik Osborne Yeah me too. And finger sweep picking at that too. How cool is that. I am very impressed and awed. He could be the next icon bassist and a future legend.
What a daunting task it would be to even find a vocalist to match these three on their respective instuments!!! It's not necessary to find a singer Asrerism are awesome as is.
They are so good and she's a Magician but they need a genuine great singer and then , well anything , any heights . Cheers lov em even if they stay Instrumental .

If you haven't already, check out LOVEBITES. They are an All-girl metal band from Japan and they are absolutely incredible. Everything about them is just perfect.
I'll second that. If you want any good music these days you have to go overseas and hell yeah, Japan's one of the best for heavy metal. Why? Everyone of these groups you just mentioned are so passionate and give 100% during their performance! They don't hold back and want the audience to feel their music. They literally give themselves up to the crowd. These groups also play real freaking instruments and aren't synthesized crap using electron drum beats like here in the USA. Real instruments, real performances and real emotions. Love it!
Janeses bands are awesome. Mind if I give some recomendations? Anthem and Loudness (two old school heavy metal bands, still going strong to this day), Concerto Moon (neoclassical power metal with amazing guitars) and Onmyouza (heavy/power metal with some folk influences, very unique). Of course there's a lot more, those are just a few bands that came to my mind right now.
they are generally not bound by typical conventions or tribalism like in the States, so you can have cutesy pop metal groups, dudes in dresses shredding in church halls and a band of teenagers wiping your face clean off the planet with power metal. In the USA there would be barriers from marketing people (the people who forced Loudness to hire Mike Vescera), vicious tribal fans and commercial interests that utterly exploit the fans. Japanese fans are also genuine as you can get.
Saw Flotsam and Jetsam in a dive bar in Sandusky, OH late 80's. Love them. While they've tried to make a couple comebacks, it just hasn't worked out for them.
Just say this band here in Austin Texas they are awesome , they are a must see ! How Hal Ca can put that much attitude in her small self . You have to see them live to appreciate fully
