  • Saying Goog Bye Is Never Eazy; As a kid we loved playing Davy Crockett & Daniel Boone because it was so eazy to get dad to get ya a coonskin cap when we went to Disneyland. So most of us kid's had them and it wasn't hard to make a flint-lock rifle out of an old pice of wood, bamb there we were playing frontier's men. So Thank You Mr. Fess Parker for all the extra joys of being a kid in them day's:
    Please Read On.

Fess Parker was such a handsome man and easy to love...I grew up watching him first as Davey Crockett and later as Daniel Boone. He was wonderful and so believeable!! But he was at his best as Fess Parker and God blessed him with a long and I hope wonderful life. R.I.P. sir. Barb in Denver, CO.

Only Fess Parker could play Daniel Boone and Davey Crocket. At the time Fess Parker captured the spirit of America ad I believe still does!

I know exactly what you mean! I got to shake hands with him when I was a kid and Daniel Boone was on T.V.! :) He was a BIG man too! He was setting on a horse in the middle of a rodeo area when I saw him, I was 4 or 5. He made a full size riding horse look like a pony! :D

Well, that was a trip down memory lane. I pity the children today, that have never had good moral heroes like Fess Parker and others in the 60's snd 70's.

I liked the way Fess Parker's life ended up. A few decades ago he founded a successful vinyard in California where he made award winning wines. There was(I don't know if it's still up)on his website a beautiful picture of him and his wife surrounded by a multitude of children, grandchildren(great grand children?). He looked quite happy and healthy. Obviously, the second part of his life was well lived.

We know ol'e Dan went to the Michigan territory long before it was a state(1837)and gave us the name us Michiganders cherish to this day, saying he's never ever seen people so wild mean an free,Wolverines! Was it a coincidence that the remake of Red Dawn set in Washington state was shot in Michigan, it sure was something to here the shouts and see the banners, WOLVERINES, WOLVERINES WERE HERE! It would have made Danel Boon proud. Maybe the remake will come out before he returns. From the W.st.

I'm only 12 but I got a two disc set of Davy Crockett and the Alamo and Davy Crockett and The River Pirates. I also have the first and second season of Daniel Boone. Both by one of my favorite actors Fess Parker.

I tell people that's what they are missing today: the heroes we grew up with. We had Daniel Boone, Davy Crockett, Superman, the sitcom fathers and mothers, the cowboys, Sheena Queen of the Jungle, and so many more. Now, the emphasis is on the dark part of human nature, glorifying it, including Mafia, gangsters, gangstas, a serial killer of serial killers, women selling drugs to make ends meet, etc. Even the cartoons are hideous and full of hatefulness. How sad for children to grow up that way.

We here at BRTM-Studios did a little digging our selves for you but we now know as much as you've found. One thing we do know is that Flok-Tailes about the men could have reached each-others ears being told in their lifes time. It hits us funny; thinking that Boone & Crockett could of had kind of a "Keven Bacon" link in their storys. You know someone they knew told Boone about meeting Crockett & like wise with Crockett to Boone a 6-degrees of separation:

Hi Buck: I'm happy it made you think of him in that light and I just can't think of any movie he was in I didn't like. Maybe that's why Walt Disney like him so much as well; Fess must of just been a man you couldn't help but like. I know one thing I'm going to start looking for his vinyeards Wine Lable the next time I'm out.

I wonder if real David Crockett and the real Daniel Boone ever crossed paths in life? They roamed fairly close to each other from time to time, i.e Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri and Texas. Well, maybe not Texas. Boone didn't go there. I heard though, he made it to the Rockies in Colorado. And of course, Crockett never got to the Rockies. Anyway, Boone was dead by the time Crockett went to Texas. I don't think there is any record of their meeting. I'm sure they knew about each other.

@kakurangerman25; I think you'd see them running for office in Washington & to save this Nation's Freedom's from being exployted as well as stopping other's in office from selling out our Untied States; that's what I think they be doing. Their love of Family, Friend's, Nature & National Freedom's wouldn't be replaced for a so called "Hollywood Life Style" which I'd think they'd call silly...
