@Sơn Tùng M-TP Official No clue. It is a gaming handheld, not a handheld PC. I wouldn't expect it to have a web browser. None of this series of handhelds has one (probably because they don't have the resources to drive it). If you're looking for a "handheld PC", consider the Steam Deck.
Only issue with my 351mp was it would refuse to load any OS or recognize other SD cards at all. This is a somewhat common defect and thankfully Amazon refunded mine and after getting a 2nd unit, it's running 351elec flawlessly. Same with the other 400 GB SD card. If anyone has issues using another OS or other SD cards, it is a defect and needs to be returned. Now I am very satisfied with this little console. Online disappointed it isnt more powerful to match the build quality of the mp model. Probably one of the best devices built and feels very premium.
damn several months out and rg351v is STILL getting reviews. this model really did put the anbernic on the map for a lot of people who never heard of them.
Mine is coming to the mail anytime soon. So excited about this device! Out of all the 351 devices, I felt like this was the most well-rounded in terms of the features I need.
@@vsm351 it is to me as well, especially if you used to have the og gameboy, 351v feels right. Combined with 351elec or arkos, it's the only thing you'll need for emulation when it comes to psx romsets and below.
Great list! I didn’t know about the retro achievements, that’s awesome! I’ve been watching videos about this all morning. I’m really excited to get it.
@MonroeWorld well from the start every time I would boot it would do a self repair (as if it were being shutdown wrong though It was properly shutdown) bout a month of that and it never passed the boot screen on that card again. Put a New card in and instantly good as new had it about a year in total never a repair boot sence
@MonroeWorld also my dad (genx) hates/dislikes retro games and will only play newer games (fortnite is his jam but he likes anthing that "looks as good as skyrim. I am aware skyrim is not new thats just what he says lol) He has told me in our lengthy videogame talks (were nerds) that for him the importance of the aspects of video games for him are like 80% graphics 15% gameplay and 5% story But I (mellinal) love all games but none more then atari 26 - ps2 (the gap from "hey you might have something here" to "this is an artform that will never go away will isnt it?")
Even though I prefer playing games on original hardware, I've been too busy for weeks to get a chance to enjoy my game room. This thing seems to be a terrific plan B until I get my free time back. Can't wait till mine gets delivered.
I’ve mapped the back buttons to control the tank on Battle Zone with the fire button up front. Have a crack at it as I find it better than the old school twin sticks in the arcades. Great video and G’day from us down under mate 🙃
Would it be worth getting one of these now? Already have the RG351P but using an outdated (but ready) image on it and figured it'd be better to get one of these (like the form factor + built in wifi = no soldering is a +) and add the ports missing to it. Or better to go for the 353 or wait for another one?
I moved to the steam deck and now I can't imagine using anything as underpowered as an Anbernic handheld device. I can tell you that I really enjoyed having Wi-Fi available at any given time though. If that's important to you? It sounds like you definitely have an upgrade path of some sort.
@@Darkuni Ah never got the notification for a reply here; back now 10 months later. I... I still use the 351P. 😛I have so many retro games in the backlog and even without those there are also a few ports + homebrews out the ass. 351P was cheap and thus I'm not afraid to bring it places (+ it's not huge like the SD); I take it to the beach/countryside. Now that I have used some force on the D-pad (way too clicky out the box for me) it serves me well. Just need to find out why I can't play the Kaizo Marios for the SNES/NES. If I can get those hacks to work that'll give me MORE options. Any pointers? I figure I should change something (like the emulator for specific games if that's possible) within Retroarch but idk how; not being technical is sort of the reason I went with Amberelec when making my own card. Wifi is cool for the retroachievement stuff but other than that don't 100% need it built in. Now excited because new thing is apparently local multiplayer without having to go over wifi/internet with Jelos. No friends into retro stuff sadly but that capability is pretty damn amazing to me (I miss local co-op and vs). Oh and finally have to say... You have a very good narrating voice. Idk who it reminds me of (Chris Parnell a bit perhaps?) but yeah... Works very well for this type of video. 👍
@@SicketMog Ghosts of Christmas past... I think there are several SNES cores available. See if you can change the default emulator in Emulation Station....
By chance do you have the valid img file to post and by chance did yours need "RG351V display driver?" My original SD card was corrupted. Look forward to your response.
Came in there. I already had a full romset for another device; I have no idea where I originally got them. You can join my Discord and hit me up .. maybe I can help.
It is unfortunate. Maybe speaks more to the power of the original hardware than the lack thereof in emulation. I think the 351 is just on the edge of being able to do it well ... heck, I'm still finding configuration options and such ... perhaps I'm missing something that would allow it to run nearly good enough to play. :(
@@Darkuni It'll come one day, the AMIGA's custom chips are pretty wild, although the main processor is pretty much the same as the MEGDRIVE's and various other machines, it could be the speed/Mhz the processor runs at, and it being 32 bits of info' at that rate rather than 16 bits the stock OCS/ECS one has?
Just use amiberry as your base amiga emulator. Works like a charm on my 351mp which is basically the same as the v except for the orientation and the second analogue stick. Of you set it up right and get the right kickstarts it emulates everything just fine
@@jimkrom I am fine I have a proper AMIGA, with CD, 3 Gig HDD, and 10 MB Ram, it just takes up a lot of space, so if a decent enough emulator does come along such as the ARMIGA, I might be willing to switch over.
Loving mine! Got a problem with it though and wondering if anyone else is experiencing this or knows of a fix. Haven't tested it with other systems, but when I play PSX games, the screen seems to get very hot, and eventually, some of the colors and text begins to blur and small black lines begin appearing at the bottom of the screen. It all goes away if I put the system to sleep for a bit and let it cool down. It will then appear again if I begin playing again. Slightly frustrating, and I don't want to inflict any permanent damage to the screen.
I'll be honest I don't play much PlayStation and above on the thing. It doesn't sound right but it does sound heat oriented. Maybe somebody else will chime in.
I assume you're talking about the ROMS card. No, you don't need to format it special with Linux. The card can be used in both the Anbernic and the PC to move things around.

Most emulators support saves, but be warned that some do not. This is across the board though with retro handhelds.
