Thank you so much for this video. I’ve been putting off a bar change on my 03 Softail because I’m intimidated by the wiring that runs through the bars. You’ve helped tremendously.
I have been fighting this same harness for days now with no luck, UA-cam the hell out of it with no luck untill finally i found your video. You should put more tags in the title so its easier to find
Hard to believe I'm rebuilding a 2000 Harley sportster that I got for 300. Ordering signals every stupid motorcycle recycling shop cuts the wires and leaves you stubs to work with hard to keep things original. Great work and thank you saved me some time
Great video John 😎👍👍 It was to the point and not dragged out. Good lighting and closeups were in focus and no disturbing noise in the background. I subscribed and look forward to other videos. I was hoping to see the TYCO GET 64 connector which goes to my ECM on my 2016 Ultra Limited
Hey man great video very descriptive but of course the way my luck works the most important moment for me is at 3:18 and your hands go down off camera. Also, my '08 Fatboy has only 3 wires and they are opposite...looking down from the top where your right thumb is with the secondary lock facing up the orange wire is in the left end socket, the yellow wire is next to it in the 2nd socket from the left, the 3rd socket is empty and the black wire is in the right end socket. Any additional insight you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Now I see. I have to pull the white plastic piece up a bit on the male side and then my $30 pin tool will release the broken prong. I have gripped that wire with pliers and pulled so much I hope it’s not damaged inside. Probably wouldn’t have needed the $30 tool either. Thank you.
05 ultra classic. I want to use the accessories switch to light led's independently. I found the pin (on the 4 pin deutsch) that works (on/off) but is there an accessories plug extension? It's a pita to get to or is there another wire that I can tie into that will work? With the acc. switch.
John- My 2018 street glide only has 5 pins on the EMC plug. I was trying to load a new tune and noticed the 5 instead of 6. Is this normal or do you think I’m missing a pin? I’m on the left side of the bike (primary side). The tune was accepted, but not sure it was successfully downloaded. I haven’t got on the road yet to test it out. What’s your thoughts on the pins? Should I have 5 or 6?
What about the headlight bulb connector inside the headlight bucket? My FLSTC is a pain to change the headlight bucket unless I can figure out how to undo that connector.
In the connector you show from 3:40 to 4:28 , how would you remove a plastic protector that won’t allow a new cable in and will not come out as you show in the video since it has a little notch which keeps it from coming out? Help please, I’ve tried everything and nothing seems to work
This is the most helpful video I've stumbled across in a long time. Thanks for saving me from a complete wiring disaster!
This is 6 minutes of Pure Gold! Short, simple, visual. Great information. Thank you!

Thanks for the demonstration. It was a great help. I am putting on new handlebars and need to thread the wiring through the bars.
This is by far the best explanation of these connectors. Thanks for the great tutorial.

Nice video, but how do you get that connector off of the top caddy, I can not find the right combination to get it off.
Is there a magic way. Thanks
I've been trying to get the wires out of my tgs connector using a paper clip safety pin and anything else that will fit and the wires do not come out.
So if you need a new connector where do you buy the connectors at
