I will look at practical skills and preps that are sensible and non-alarmist. No News Flash click bait titles.
The problem I have with the "panic" videos is, sifting through them to find a video that is actually finding a real prepping video. I've seen some "panicers" put out up to 4 videos a day that I don't care to view. Every time there's any kind of situation, anywhere in the world, they feel the need to make a video. So many jumped on the bandwagon about running out of diesel fuel, that didn't happen. No apologies for their wrong information.
I just started watching prepping videos in the last month. I was aware of the movement for years, and thought it meant hoarding weapons and food for an apocalyptic scenario, like a nuclear war or pandemic. Then we had a pandemic, and the weather has become more extreme, there’s fires, floods, chemical spills, and an unbelievable amount of mass shootings. Personally, I’ve had some physical problems due to working from home for three years - I am not as active, and my weekend activities just cause injuries now because I sit more than I did before the pandemic. So I’ve started preparing for emergencies and found some great info. But I am seeing a lot of people who are scared of society and are basically planning on defending themselves and their bunkers from a breakdown of society. It’s disturbing. That IS the breakdown of society - advance planning to not work with others in an emergency. Having lived in NYC during 9/11 and the blackout in 2003, I found that people instantly began to work together to help each other. This happened in New Orleans after hurricane Katrina, although the media painted a different picture. I watched 9 seasons of Alone and the title of the show tells you the real challenge. We are social beings. We need to prepare as communities. I hope this online community can steer the mindset to that - to sharing resources, and not just food, and not just in some imagined future. We are in a social emergency now, and fear of the unknown is increasing. This fear could be mitigated far better if we build up our communities.

I shut down all the prepping channels but yours. The sensationalism is over the top. We must keep in mind, the UA-cam prepping scene for the most part, isn't real.
Agreed. People are taking advantage of the situation to capitalize off fear. A couple other channels I feel are out to help educate are Provident Preppers and Canadian Prepper Podcast (CPP) (Not to be confused with The Canadian Prepper). CPP is low budget and set up (like the name suggests) as a podcast. Completely different set up, sometimes a little awkward (definitely room for improvement), but they are on here for the right reasons to bring education and awareness of the importance of prepping. Though small, They have brought guests on that other (bigger channels) have as well. Ex. Jase Medical, EMP Dr, the Alton's, etc.
Brad from Full Spectrum Survival Is very dramatic and over the top. I had to turn off his notifications and am really considering unsubscribing. Literally every video is doom and gloom and his thumb nails are these pics of him looking deranged...it's all so depressing and overly negative for just clicks and views
@@crystalbluepersuasion1027 yes he does. I used to watch his videos everyday but haven't in months. I started feeling anxious and depressed. I had to cut just about all of that stuff out for my own mental health.

I never miss PrepperNow.... EVER
So the lumping of people with this idea of "fearporn" is ignoring there are plenty of real world events to be fearful of, these UA-camrs are not the cause but the symptom. I have not been worried myself and was not a prepper until the last year. I find it weird you were one of the channels that I latched on to one year ago to start preparing for the current situation only to find you dropping out because you wanted to ignore what is going on. So what is the point of prepping if there is nothing to be worry about? If everything is fine why bother prepping? If I ignored what was happening I would be happier, but not prepared for whats been going down, and I'm not talking about bs like toilet paper shortages, FYI prepping is not needed for toilet paper, wet wash cloth done. I could stick my head in sand too and not worry, however right now I think I have chance to protect my family because of the fearporn.
Glad ur back....Everyone needs a break...Family 1st and self care allways...Missed ur daughters cameo appearences telling you, "Mom is Pissed" in the middle of ur vids...Stay well Amigo.
The moment you let your guard down, you lose your life or you're responsible for the ones around you. Always be prepared and don't let it stress you out. You're a prepper you're supposed to be prepared at all times. We are living in a dark world so get used to seeing dark times. Life's not fair and this world is not friendly to anyone.
If all we see and feel is darkness, is that a life we want to live? I agree being prepared is important and, really, a necessity (especially during these times). But we also need to realize that we will never be able to prepare for EVERYTHING and that's okay. We prepare to the best of our ability (mentally, financially, physically) knowing there is always room for improvement. We also need to be able to enjoy the present and our loved ones now. No matter how physically prepared we are, a positive attitude and outlook are needed to create high morale, which is important to make it through tough times
And you can never prepare to bring peace to Ukraine or calm China down. I wish we could but we can't. Why is there so much reporting on those problems on prepper channels? We have really problems right here that are pretty threatening, like utilities losing power and weather making us unsafe and threatening food supplies and trains that derail while carrying nasty stuff.

Listen to Pinball Preparedness for an interesting commentary on some USA Presidents.
Watching replay glad to see you back. God bless
Presumably they’re prepping.
Brad from Full Spectrum Survival Is very dramatic and over the top. I had to turn off his notifications and am really considering unsubscribing. Literally every video is doom and gloom and his thumb nails are these pics of him looking deranged...it's all so depressing and overly negative for just clicks and views
He’s definitely got that crazy eye look going on. That guy gives off big, scary vibes.
@@crystalbluepersuasion1027 yes he does. I used to watch his videos everyday but haven't in months. I started feeling anxious and depressed. I had to cut just about all of that stuff out for my own mental health.
The best thing any prepper could do is to stop listening to Canadian Prepper.
And bat śhïț crazy Brad at full spectrum survival.
Good to see you Cliff! We all need to GAFIAte once in awhile but it will be good to see your new videos :-)
FSS.. never says umm That's wild!
I love Canadian Prepper. I fully support him in all his endeavors.
I get a lot of straight shooting good info from Riverside Homestead.
I will pass on Magic P
That's my opinion based on MY experience.
Hupels Cat... is soooo undervalued. I do love me Praxis... as well. Hudson Valley Prepping and Survival won me over with SPAM. And... I never miss PrepperNow.... EVER
Picked up how to do a rocket stove and Cristo candles from Riverside.
DOOD!
Cool story, bro.

I wasted a subscription on you?
