- Wood Fired. Easy. Built like a tank. See how easy it is to get delicious results on these two Traeger Beasts. Brined Turkey Breast and Boston Butt, w/Bennett Feed and Seed, Albany, Ga
So is the Ironwood cooking any different than the Pro? I knew the meat would be good in both but I wanted to know if the Ironwood is worth the extra money.
I thought this was a comparison video?
Seriously..
That was brutal
From Suwanee, GA and Highlands, NC, thanks for the great video! I've been cooking on charcoal for ever but have been considering the jump to an egg-style smoker or the pellet-fed grills like Traeger. I like the speed of the Traeger's and don't really see myself spending the time/effort/money on the eggs with all the necessary accessories - at least not at first - so I think my next step will be one of the Traeger Ironwood models. Keep up the good work guys. I'll be watching for your future videos.
Thank you very kindly! We understand completely. It’s harrrddddddd to beat the versatility and ease of use✌️. Thanks for tuning in and keep on grilling my friend!
So what's the verdict? 575 or 650?
Wait... You made a comment about buying a separate smoker to get that deep smoke flavor. Does the kraeger NOT give you a smoke flavor like you would get if you went to a BBQ pit and ordered some smoked ribs!?
And, I don't see how y'all only got 60 subs... Great video
Great question! I would say no it doesn’t. However, I have thoroughly enjoyed the flavor it produces for sure. It’s more of a mild smoke and fire flavor. Pretty much everything I’ve cooked has had awesome results all around
Middle of summer 108° in the shade no ac yeah I want to cook outside plane and simple..
Don’t blame you✌️✌️. We’d do the same my friend
Listening to 2 men, with the conversational quality of a sportscaster, eat is the worst.
Great video. Have you ever smoked using the Weber Smokey Mountain? That's what I have now and I'm thinking of trying the Traeger. How does the smoke flavor compare with the two? I love my Weber, but might like to try the ease of the Traeger. Thanks.
I love the Weber Smokey Mountain. Excellent smoker. A pellet grill is a different experience altogether. I wouldn’t blame you for wanting one for the convenience. It’s NOT going to deliver that DEEP smoke flavor of charcoal and wood but is absolutely worth having in your Arsenal. 🔥🔥
@@betteroverfire4745 In some of your other answers you mention using a smoke tube on your Traeger. Where do you place it on your Traeger? How do you use it? Thanks.
This is not a REVIEW at all.
Your review was not really a review. Did not speak to any differences at all lol. What…
With the 650 is there smoke leakage outta the sides of the lid, like the 800 model has issues with?
Great question! I’ve noticed a few leaks for sure. Minor leaks. In my experience it has not caused any temp swings or lack of flavor. I like to add a smoke tube in the chamber when I’m wanting deeper smoke flavor, but otherwise... it has ent been too much of an issue👍
@@betteroverfire4745 do you feel you get a better smoke flavor NOT using Super Smoke, vs. using the feature? Did a chuck roast on the 650 today, and was kinda disappointed in the lack of smoke flavor.
@@westside_kratos6487 Yeah totally. The only way I get good smoke flavor is at around 225. The whole way. I try to add Smokey flavor with a smoke tube if I want it to be more pronounced.
@@betteroverfire4745 what kinda pellets have you had the best luck with? I keep hearing negative things about Traeger’s brand.. but that’s all I’ve used.
@@westside_kratos6487 I’ve used a few different brands. Ive had a similar experience with all of them. I actually like the traeger and Kingsford pellets
