Lukas Goodrich Yeah, but that’s not helpful. He wouldn’t be able to put the letters in flipped around because of how they’re designed to go into the brander thing.
I tried Gousto for a few months back before I really got into cooking and I have to say that while not all the recipes were great, they're fantastic for getting you into learning how to cook properly. Now I'm pathological about my groceries, knives as well as health and safety. They're fantastic for what they are.
Okay but James bringing up people with disabilities is my favorite thing! A lot of people make so much fun of certain gadgets that just do what you can do but slower, but they never consider non able-bodied people. Thank you James, so much, for putting these ideas forward!
Exactly. Most of these gadgets aren't designed for able bodied people. The knife sharpener is a classic example. I sharpen knives the old fashioned way, with a whetstone like my father taught me and his father taught him. It's the best way to get a great edge on any knife but if you don't know what you're doing you can hurt yourself and screw up your knives. For someone with less coordination or mobility in their hands, sharpening a knife with a whetstone can be really dangerous. I'm gonna get one for my dad actually. He has parkinsons disease and trying to sharpen a knife with a whetstone could end up with him chopping a finger off
My son has CP and one hand is more difficult to flex than the other, that peeler looks perfect for him and for his ability to enjoy freedom in the kitchen 🤷🏼♀️
Request: Pass it on where each person has to use one of the "useful" kitchen gadgets during their cooking time, but not one that has already been used. Theme: Pizza. Order: Mike, Ben, Jaime, James, Barry.
There are two sides to James: one which will mercilessly tear apart any manner of (at times, quite useful) kitchen gadgets and another who will just as passionately fall in love with a plastic snack tray and a cardboard candy organiser .
James’ excitement over that snack bowl has me baffled, it’s got me thinking, either his sarcasm is on a whole other level or he’s really excited about it; and I don’t know which one is worse 🤔
Well the snack bowl isn't technically a "kitchen gadget". It's not touted as something that's supposed to make cooking easier; so not a threat to chefs. So maybe that's why he's all for it.
As a person with a physical disability myself, I too find it difficult to peel vegetables so kitchen gadgets and tools such as these are a breath of fresh air. Thank you James for highlighting! Love, peace and great food from Glasgow, Scotland.
I'm really pleased with this! It works like a charm ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxDcr-y2Pf6xdnrFHrSP7dl9kpKaCozcSQ Takes less time than my old electric sharpener because it can take more off the knife faster, and then it smooths out nicely with the finer grit polisher.
