The LG competition got me thinking. I have multiple times in the past tried to setup some distribution of linux on a laptop and there's always some functionality (sound, ports, media keys from keyboard, sensors, screen rotation or tablet mode) that just refuses to work without resorting to 1) excessive amount of googling, 2) finding what part of the OS is bugging out and 3) fixing the bug by myself. This is why I usually try to buy a laptop that has the fewest possible amount of features so the probability of non-functioning features is slightly smaller. Does a modern laptop exist where all of the features work out of the box?
Currently I am using a Toshiba PA3758U, it is virtually unusable as it is so old slow and extremely heavy. Also the keyboard not working requiring me to bring around a mini keyboard to plug in doesn't help. Since I am going to college next year to study computer science which I would need a computer or laptop for and I could really use a LG Gram for its minimal weight and good specs. As an 18 year old with 70 year old back problems I know the light weight could benefit me greatly😂😂.
I ordered the case 121 weeks ago (nov 2019), Still didn’t get one. It’s not even shipped or made nor is Dune transparent about when or if I will ever get it. I asked for a refund from Indiegogo. Unfortunately they couldn't give one because Dune already collected the money without doing what they supposed to do. Dune stole from Indiegogo and from your backers. I hope that Alex from Dune can sleep with himself and I will talk in behave of all backers. We will be sure that the whole world will know that DuneCase is a scam.
Wow - what with me being somewhat 'IT-Illiterate' I would LOVE to have a clue as to what this guy is talking about - he makes it all seem so very easy !!
That actually seems like a shockingly decent case design, though I feel quite certain that it's expensive AF. Still, not as though there aren't worse looking and more poorly constructed cases which demand exorbitant prices. Also, this motherboard isn't alone in lacking fan speed curve controls. It seems like a decent majority of workstation boards which are derived from server boards rather than consumer boards lack such functionality. I don't know why this is the case, but here we are. If you're going to bother getting a workstation motherboard, only bother with Asus's insanely expensive premium line of workstation boards if you want to have proper controls and overclocking options. I got one of their cheaper ones for the LGA2011v3 platform and it won't even let me set the RAM speed. I'm sorely tempted to just give up on the option to add a second processor in the future and just jam my existing setup into an X99 board and run with that instead just so I can get reasonable performance controls.

I bought the LG Gram after seeing this and it is the best laptop I ever owned. A win in every category I care about. I left a review on LG's website and will on Amazon soon. Gave LTT a shout too.
Linus use vicegrips when taking fittings off. I have used vicegrips for several things like your doing. Vice the hoses down no liquid is going any where.
vice-grip at the end, the underlying rigid connecter is in the way, vice-grip a few inches away from the end, water leaks up to the vice-grip, water has left the system and air has entered the system. lets say no water came out (which I doubt) but wouldn't there be less water in the system due to the squeeze of the cable, when the new block was attached, the vice-grip removed, the tube would still be squished do to the volume of water missing from the vice-grip depressing the cable. squished cable means decreased water flow and decreased cooling. either i don't understand your point to it would not be an improvement. thinking some more, if the open end were raised above the rest of the cooling system, water could be refilled. i prefer what he did in the video
Ugh, it seems like the backers still haven’t gotten their cases. This is a shame. Thankfully I didn’t buy into the campaign as I wanted to see the reviews once they got out into the wild.

I'm a little late to the party, but I have a question. How wide is the "Front fan mount? It looked about 3.5" or so, and the slots would allow HDD mounting. Is there room to put intake fans between the Front-outside of that bracket and the inside the front panel? Other than lacking a backplane, that looks like a ton of room for a village of... oh i dunno, a reasonable family of WD reds. Nevermind... another look at the website gave me a positive answer.

It's not hard though. Most of the things he mentioned in this video are the basics of IT stuff. He does however know some very advanced stuff.
It was a scam

The point is when you change a part you can use vicegrips to stop water, gasoline and oil from coming out of hose line not a cable.
You must never worked on any veichles or any mechanics. You can use vicegrips on a lot of things
