If you haven't seen the original somehow but have found this, make sure to watch the original before this. Not only is it a great animation but a lot of jokes won't land if you haven't seen it.
Made in somehow almost the same amount of time as Chrisrin's, probably because this was my first project of this scale. This was its own behemoth of a project, including many "how do i do THAT in photoshop??"s and "is there literally any other way i can do this scene?"s.

Thanks! It's mostly joke I'd suppose. I did the head fades in joke because I didn't know how to animate moving and rotating at the same time in photoshop lol

Jokes aside, this project is legitimately really well done. It references the video amazingly, feeling stupid while still showing the sheer effort something like this took. It's given me a great laugh.

Theres something about Keralis' face that always gets me
this is actually really well put together and funny, i think i had the best possible experience of this: finding it at 2am, slightly delirious and struggling to stay awake, and then the entire time trying (and failing) to hold back laughter so i don’t wake anybody up
overall, 10/10 experience

You did pretty well on this. Love the edits of the emotions the hermits are feeling during the moonpocolypse. And the scene with Cleo and Joe just makes them more wholesome than the original video did.

I love the broken pods at the end, kind of give a feel that some outside presence doesn't the hermits to live on, and made sure that the clones used in season 8 were the last ones.

did NO ONE point out the genius in the ending scroll. I love the original so much but "EvilXisuwuma." and "Xisuma backed up too far" NEED to be my favourite parts of this video
Thank you! This part was one of the painful parts to make since it was just repetitive to make every individual frame and writing with a mouse is not fun. Though I also really like this part because of it reinforces the theme of this animation- intrusive death. Hermits who didn't die in the original now fall to a mishap ( Hypno's elytra breaking, Tango falling on his face, False falling on her face, Xisuma backing off the edge of the end island) or their escapes not working (Jevin's big slimeball thing not flying away, Boatem simply dying in the void, Gem not making it to her portal in time because she stopped to place a flower after False didn't make it). And these (for the most part, lol. if i remember, tango is just 't') are listed in the ending scroll. And just to really drive the point home, the zombified piglin, that stood where Xisuma was supposed to be standing, died suddenly at the end for no clear reason.
