The trouble is in the uk you need planning permission. As I understand it you can have 3m height as long as it’s 2m from your boundary fence. Which would give you sidnificantly lower that that inside taking into account your reef joists possibly 150mm x 50mm. Then you have the floor. Then it has to be less than 30m square internal floor space which wouldn’t be a problem. I know you can have 2.5 to the eaves and 4m at the apex. I’m wondering if that would work
How does that screen install work where it appears to be flush with the rectangle pads? I like that look much better than the "standard" cages I see available for purchase
Great Vid. Ive build a room for my sim but now i am struggling to decide which sim to buy. Should I buy a 2013 GC2 second hand or a new Skytrak plus? Will the old GC2 handle all the newer software like GSPro? What do you think?
I’m not hugely knowledgeable about the GC2 but from what I can gather it works absolutely fine with GSPro. In fact I believe it’s much better and more reliable than my original SkyTrak. You can’t use the new SkyTrak+ fully with GSPro yet - it doesn’t have the ability to do putting (you’d have to just play AutoPutt rounds) 👍🏼⛳️
I’ve been interested in the OG Skytrak since it came out. I knew the market was going to get competitive. Many years later it’s true today. My work actually got a Skytrak+ and that was exactly what I was going to buy. Working with Skytrak now after 3 weeks of trying to figure out why the data is so bad. I’ve read online a few ppl had the same issue but majority of ppl had great experiences. Plus only 30 day warranty on SkyTrak meh. I ultimately preordered the uneekor eye mini LITE. Heres why. I don’t need portability. It’ll stay indoors. Radar ones needs 16-18ft I want actual club data not “calculated” data. I don’t want to pay a subscription or very high subscription. 2800 is same price as SkyTrak. Bushnell launch pro with club data is 3500. Plus 500 a year to use the foresights applications. Plus gspro 250 a year. Foresight Gc3 is 8500. So uneekor eye mini lite for 2800 is a good deal for me. 200 for the subscription if I wanna use 3rd party applications like gspro. 450 and year vs bushnell 750 a year.
Thanks mate. I do I have the original SkyTrak ye and I still think its great, especially as an upgrade from the R10. I actually have a video coming out next week about whether the original SkyTrak is worth buying in 2024 😂 Should be out next Sunday ⛳️
IMO, save your money for other upgrades. I was going to upgrade to the Skytrak from the R10 but reconsidered after watching several comparison videos. The data from the R10 is good enough with proper alignment and calibration. For me, it didn't seem worth it to spend 3-5 times more money.
Thank you for the videos you put out. You and a few others have inspired me to build a sim room in my shed. Dimensions are 10'X20'. Also, i'm having a hard time finding your facebook group. Not sure why.
Prepped my man cave last year. I’ll Chuck some before and after on the Facebook page at some point 👌🏻👌🏻 keep the vids coming so I can make sure I don’t cock up my sim 🤣

I believe it is strips of marine carpet stuck onto the screen with heavy duty velcro 👍🏼⛳️
What a great video. Such a large amount of information in the one video. Excellent advice. Thank you :)
Thank you I’m glad it was helpful 🙌🏼⛳️
Im glad u said about indoor syndrome because i seem to be about 30 yards short n im wondering am i really swinging the same as i do outdoors 😭
It's definitely common!

How did you make Wall tiles with foam? where did you buy for leather?
Check out golf swing systems website 👍🏼
Excellent video. Do you have plans to create any future DIY interview type videos, like you have in the past?
Thanks mate! Yes I will be doing some more interviews in the future 👍🏼⛳️
@hcpgolf Sweet. Looking forward to that and keep us in mind as a potential interview.
Yes definitely, will be in touch nearer the time
my room is 10Hx14Wx18D. When I install my screen, My height will be around 8 feet high. Can I still swing drivers comfortably into the screen?
Yes you should be absolutely fine 👍🏼⛳️
Awesome. Many thanks. Love the information you have on your site.

Try this link for the fb group (I think I had the privacy settings wrong): facebook.com/groups/905884054339162/?ref=share_group_link

Can I build a decent simulator with a Rapsodo or a Garmin
You can 👍🏼⛳️
Learned
Standard English - not American English 👍🏼🏴
I hit a lot further in a sim than I do in real life because I am not worried about losing the ball.
I feel the same way. Never swing scared on the sim.

American English maybe. Not proper English 👍🏼🙂
