Indoors I’ll take optical based all day long. Curious about the R50 against the Quad but it’s tough to do side by side with optical as the infrared typically interferes with each other.

Looking at the Garmin face and path data Vs actual ball flight properly I would be curious of Garmin's description of their club path and face angle. If their description is the same as Trackman or Foresight then those numbers are a bit worrying. I hope that the released version will be better.

How would you say the square compares to the OG skytrack?

Congratulations on doing a pure add video. Ridiculous to not mention all the missing very important data measurements like angle of attack and low point. If you go to Trackman home page they brag that their Trackman 4 etc have attack angle which other cheaper ones might lack, since it is in their opinion by far one of the most important measurements. And now more than one year after the release they haven't been able to add it yet...

Shame a lot of these reviewers don't go outside on a driving range and demonstrate and test of their "range modes" outside in the real climate, in real life. While no outdoor test is ever perfect, showing the accuracy outside could help with golfers that spend more time outside playing golf than within a controlled indoor environment,. I know from what I have read, this unit wasn't really made for outdoors but it has been used outdoors by a lot of users friends so mine, and its pretty darn accurate yardages avg close to 5 yards vs a Trackman.. I'm in central Fla. Thank you for the review.

One thing people don’t think about is how much the R50 is going to push the entire LM market forward. You bet that every manufacturer paid close attention and will be working on their new units that can beat it.

DO NOT PURCHASE! I have ALWAYS had a problem with "syncing" my shots. You cannot review data or shots until synching is complete and I had to wait HOURS (even if done via wifi). Rapsodo just keeps telling me to update my firmware....which IS ALREADY UP TO DATE. I'm fed up and Raspodo has been of no support. I have requested a full refund of my PREMIUM membership, but no response from Rapsodo.

Mitch I have a hot take: The perfect launch monitor for under 3k$ is TWO launch monitors. Mevo+ for getting advanced data for working on your swing & a Square LM for Simgolf and fun. All for half the price of a ProteeVX. Can't decide if I'm a genius or I've lost my mind.

How do you rate this Mitch? After all the videos of it iv seen, I just can’t spend £8k on a GC3 now when I can get 95% of its accuracy for a fraction of its price with this 😂

At 33:55, you said you get the Pro package included with a purchase of the XO2, but I don't see that anywhere on their website. Is that correct?

Im going to trust the numbers of the camera system a little more than the radar unit. IDC if the radar unit costs 4X as much. Youre still just relying on the accuracy of the math.

I wouldn't consider a 3 camera photometric unit costing $5,000 a budget launch monitor and it appeared the shot shape was off on several shots that you called the direction on immediately after hitting it. I'm thinking too many discrepancies at this moment. The R50 needs some tweaking via firmware updates. I'll stick with my ST+ but do not see this as "fantastically accurate" as you said. Just my opinion.

I’m putting in my first simulator and have a couple questions / concerns: Do you have anything below your hitting mat ? Looks like you also cut out the floor mats below ? So want to make sure I’m at the same elevation as the entire floor / putting area. What is your floor / putting mat ? Just don’t see that in the description. Also, I’m thinking of buying the SkyTrak+ (which you have) but… I’ve got concerns with how it works with GSPro, I see that’s what you are running also. Does that work efficiently and are those working & comparable together ?

I was ready to pull the trigger on buying a Garmin R50 until I seen this video and the huge discrepancies on the club data, is it really that far off? I read the comments about the RCT balls not being used but do not see how that would affect the discrepancies in club data?

try to keep this short but Ive had one for a few weeks and I like it alot, needed a camera unit for space reasons and use it almost every night. Is it perfect-no, I know my irons are a little off with it but it picks up shot shapes really well. Rarely misses wedge/chips and picks up driver/wood/hybrid distance close enough and you can putt. Its worth every penny to me, I didnt want to drop 5K to keep my swing going over the winter in my garage. takes 30sec to be playing a round of sim golf (ipad to hdmi to LCD flat screen) and the courses on it are pretty good. Really hope balls are available again for it (which was my biggest concern) and they continue to grow program compatibility. for the money, ease of use, what it can do I think its really hard to beat.

@5:48 I wonder if you caught a bit of the hozel. That'd explain the face to path being left but the spin axis being right. I think I trust the camera system more in this scenario without the RCT balls but who knows.

Anyone else getting flashbacks form the dreaded first bounce from TGC 2019?!! Yikes! While the idea of being able to play 40K courses, I still think I will prefer GSPro for the more realistic look and obviously better physics. Does this Home Tee Hero have online play and tournaments/leagues? To me, that is what keeps me playing more in my sim.
