Thanks for the information. I just bought the same one and you explained what the "gate" piece was, I couldn't figure that out. I like your poly fill idea better. Thanks!
i just saw a guy on a aquascaping group turn this breeding box as an improved venus aqua HOB filter, he basically chunked in all of the parts included, added medias like rings foam and etc, and he inserte to the intake that venus aqua submersible pump haha what a life hack
Just picked up two Marina a few weeks ago. It appears to be identical to this one you’re showing. Looking forward to trying them. Have been using the Ziss BL-2, which is a great “in tank” breeder box. Love the central air supply right there for your breeder box needs. Nice planning. Good review Jeff. Go Hawks 👍
Over the years i have had a couple issues with my air supply coming from under my tanks and not using a check valve. Drained about half of a 265 once. Don't know if you use them or not (didn't see one in your video) but they are a very cheep insurance policy if you haven't had a bad experience yet buddy. Like your videos and thanks for sharing your experience with the UA-cam world.
J Lathem yeah you’re right my other central air system has check valves on it but didn’t do any on this one I did think about that just haven’t got it done yet thanks for the heads up though that is a valid point for sure
@@Jeffro - Yeah that's one of those things that may never happen (and I hope it doesn't) but if it does it has the potential of being a very nasty situation, in more ways than one.
I think you mentioned that you use something else for dividers, but I don't believe you returned to that thought. What do you use for a divider that fry can't get through?
Green Thumb Aquariums I cut out chunks of porous marten filter type stuff and squeeze it down in the box around the exit like a 3 x 3 x width of the box cut it a little long and squeeze it down in works great squeeze it out every once in a while never clogs
marina ones jeff amazon 8 bucks a piece dont know quality compared to yours ,yours seem to be the dogs ,might be interesting to do a comparison ,anyways, all the best bud...........................dougie
I love unboxings. These breeder boxes have come a long way over the years.

TM Aquatics Thanks bro yeah that central air is perfect for this kind of stuff
I use these a lot, Marina's version. Nice sponge trick. I use a smaller piece of sponge going the other way across the overflow outlet.
Very interesting video. Wow that's a lot of fry.
"kinda like a cooking show, already got one prepared in the oven" lmao entertaining as always man
That’s so cool! I may get one of these if my platies and swords start breeding
I have the marina version with the air lift tube, it’s just like yours. I absolutely love it! Great video!
It is a great product. I have one I use also for angelfish fry.
Sponge in there is a great idea!
