I think you nailed it. It also lines up with Khu's leaks that the fight with Terapagos is going to be epic and an absolute world ending chaos. The player most likely will have to stop the world from being engulfed in crystals. The turtle seems to be extremely powerful, on line with both Eternatus and Necrozma. Hopefully there will be an explanation in the future as to how these reality bending pokemon even exist and how they relate to the god trio from Sinnoh.

There already is a theory. It’s called the Archeus theory. Not the Arceus theory. The ARCHEUS theory. The theory goes that Zygarde, Necrozma, Eternatus and Terapagos represent the four ethers of the Archeus: Life, Light, Chemical and Reflective. It’s a pretty deep theory that delves into alchemy but Bird Keeper Toby has done some videos on it and others have written at length on it to support the theory. It works quite well. I’m excited to see whatever they are building towards.
well this theory ignores the Japanese folklore (not to mention other cultures as well that is symbolized in this game) with the pokemon. hence very likely wrong. but worth watching just to see how 1 single person thinks about it Edit: look up "The Mythology of the Indigo disk" by Mythology gaming. this guy does research without the nonsense
People from Kitakami even drink crystal water daily since the shard someone left in the mountain lake is slowly infecting the town's water supply. At this rate they're consuming more mineral than Abigail from Stardew Valley.
Remember that meme about scientists finding plastic particles in our bodies? Tep, this is the Pokémon equivalent of that. I like this whole idea of crystal apocalipse, reminds me so much of the alternate reality from USUM games with the ruins of Hau'oli city. It's just so realistic (global warming....) and much better executed than the Chairman Rose plot in Sword & Shield.
The best part is that the Indigo Disk doesn't knock this theory down entirely. We now know that Terapagos actually has the power to reach through time, space, and alternate dimensions. If anything, the fact that it doesn't seem to be explicitly malicious makes this theory a bit more scary. With the time loop that it created, it was able to free itself and through the Terarium, is encroaching on the Unova Region. Actually it could make for the sickest surprise villain ever if they want Unova Remakes to follow up on SV.
Small theory - There is a 6th Herba mystica type, it grows in that first cave you explored with koridon/miraidon. And the players mom somehow got some to put in that sandwich she gives you (that you give to kor/mir)
A world consumed by crystals, you say? Reminds me of the Team Flare arc in XYZ where the Megalith sought to merge with the Anistar Sundial and the projection was a crystallised world. I get the impression Terapagos is either parasitic or symbiotic. We see eyes on every Tera hat/crown. Is it feeding on people and Pokémon’s dreams by also granting them?
Spoilers for the Indigo Disk DLC: The name of its Stellar form ability "Teraform Zero" and its effect kinda make me wonder if the DLC has given the truly end of Terapagos' story. It really seems like it could "terraform" the world to be more like -Homeworld- Area Zero.
Super interesting video! I really like your use of evidence from the games. Glad to have another Pokémon theorist in the community. 😊 If your theory is true, it seems like Terapagos is almost making a world where things from all time can exist at once. This kind of fits with a theory I had prior to the release of SV about quantum time crystals.
The idea of the turtle being the barrier and the darkness its sitting on is the obscured secret extra bad pokemon is a take ive not seen anyone make! good job!
The fact that the newest trailer most definitely confirms that Terapagos is spreading its jewels and trying to spread them everywhere, as seen on the teracrystal tree (which I feel will be important), it really makes me question what Terapagos is truly trying to do. Is it like a parasite simply trying to survive or perhaps was the meteor sent to earth for a reason? After all, you'd think Rayquaza, the pokemon that eats meteors, would be interested. Maybe that's why it shows up at the edge of area zero in the trailer.
I've got a feeling that Terapagos might not have true control of it's final form and that the sphere that it holds might be used to prevent it to take form and its size would destroy the world. The Cluster , I mean, the Disk Pokémon might be loosing control of itself, it can't stop, it's going to form and the protagonist will have to go to huge depths to stop it from forming. I kinda imagine the the power of the clu... the Disk Pokémon might be so big that it's what the villain of the anime (maybe the games too) is trying to get it. I feel like Amethio has been send to get the pendant/Terapagos because Lord Gibeon want to use that final power, but considering that Amethio is kinda conflicted, I'm hoping he's gonna rebel against his diam... director and become a Crys... a Rising Volt Tackler
My theory is terapagos and the peach legendary are alien Pokémon that arrived on a meteor and terapagos is like a wishing star granting wishes for people and Pokémon who really want something and the peach legend is like a monkey’s paw wish granter giving anybody there wish but at a cost and the reason terapagos doesn’t leave area zero is the meteor is the last bit of its home
I'll make a video about that in more detail in the future, but it's pretty clear that Calyrex represents a energy of nature that is able to purify Eternatus' Dynamax Energy to turn it into its own Blue Dynamax.
Here’s my crackpot theory So you know how there’s a baby form of Terapagos? What if the giant orb/disk in the sketch is actually a Terapagos Egg? And the Terapagos we see with all its types on its shell is a mature one trying to make a safe land for it to grow up in???
I hope it’s natural, with all the lore involved with it, that would be so much cooler. The treasure is the crystals/terapagos’s power. There different types of crystals. The wish either created those Pokémon, or sent them from another time. If terapagos is evil, what limits it from granting its own wishes. Terapagos is analyzing paldea using terastalization. I don’t think people have been using herba Mystica recently, with all the lore given. Oh no the player is being manipulated. Physical, magical, or metaphorical. Maybe those to are “ brothers “ or related by family in some way, not literally evolution line.
It is so annoying when every theorist tries to tie every tiny little thing to AZ completely oblivious that beyond small cameos lores from past gens never affect later gens so one has to appreciate when someone immediately discards it for once.
I have a theory of my own. Using the Terapagos is Paldea theory, we can assume that it's an Azathoth-like situation where Terapagos is the sole reason the world of Pokemon exists. My theory suggests that long ago, Terapagos collided with Earth, and during its dormant state, it dreamt the vibrant realm of Pokemon into existence. The Terapagos we see in the present could be an avatar fashioned to oversee its creations, while the slumbering, true Terapagos became the Paldea region. Drawing real world parallels, Ancient Greeks believed in gods and goddesses who influenced every aspect of life. They prayed to these deities for protection and guidance. Myths served as narratives to explain natural phenomena, illness, death, and other events beyond human comprehension. Legends, based on real events, also played a role. Similarly, in the Pokemon world, human beliefs could have shaped certain Pokemon and phenomena. Terapagos’ dreams, influenced by collective consciousness, might have brought these legends to life. Consider this: Why does the ocean surge? Humans attributed it to a Pokemon, and Terapagos granted their wish, giving rise to Kyogre. What sculpted the landmasses? Humans believed a Pokemon was responsible, leading to the emergence of Groudon. Why do continents shift and move? Humans think a Pokémon is behind it. Enter Regigigas. The concept of the original Pokemon? Humans dreamed it, and Mew materialized. Contemplate divinity in Pokemon form? Humans imagine it. Arceus materializes. Belief in parallel worlds? Humans imagined it, birthing Ultra Space and the Ultra Beasts. Crave life? Humans wish for it. And Xerneas appears. Fear death? Humans dread it. Thus, Yveltal emerges. Belief in extraterrestrial life? Deoxys, Elgyem, and Beheeyem came into existence. The concept of Pokemon evolving further? The result: Mega Evolution. Looking ahead to the Indigo Disk DLC, it's conceivable that the antagonist's possible objective is to awaken the real Terapagos to satiate their greed, unknowingly risking the annihilation of everything-Pokemon, humans, and the world itself. Waking the beast from its slumber might lead to the world reverting to its original lifeless state, erasing all traces of existence.
Unless we get scarlet and Voilet 2 (pattern from past games suggests we do) then this mystery will probably never be solved (unless im missing something)
