Yes, happiness, release emerging from despair happens so often in skillful art. This performance goes back to the Ancient Greeks with their Dionysian, ecstatic ceremonial performances. (Ecstatic as in, literally, getting out of one’s body). Of course people respond. And, of course, it helps that the master of ceremonies, Jagger, is a genius in such matters.

Lord. Incredible. If this audience and the Stones being at their best does not get your blood pumping, then what will?? Only the Stones can generate this reaction. RIP Charlie.
Why we will always love the Rolling Stones? It's been a while since the Stones have recorded anything memorable .We love them for what they represent in our lives. Some years ago, when the Stones came to Brazil, I saw both their gigs It struck me then that the reason we still take the old material so seriously is because Jagger takes it seriously himself. He sings each song like he’s just released the record last week and puts so much effort into each performance that you can’t help being seduced by his charisma. Like "Paint It Black" released on 7 May 1966 . I was 14
Aguante Argentina. Saludos desde Lima Perú.
A big tribute and respect from England for that sensational crowd. At one stage 2;55 Ronnie couldn't believe what he was seeing. Truly magnificent youngsters. Never ever seen anything like this before!
The band...the classic sound...the concert audience caught up in the moment......this is what rock music has that RAP and hip-hop will never...ever...have!!! I'm so glad i was able to attend concerts of these iconic bands in my lifetime.
You do understand that putting down other people’s taste won’t make yours look better right? For example, I’m a huge rap fan but I can still enjoy the old rock classics and say that their show were just as good as my generation’s shows. Times change and being sour about it is not a good look. Ps if you want to understand what I mean just take a few minutes and listen to this compilation of some of the most invested crowds in hip hop ua-cam.com/video/sI7BLFaXn-I/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared Even if you don’t like their music which is understandable, you simply can’t undermine that these shows and crowds are just as great as before
RIP Sir Charlie Watts🙏...I'm heartbroken 💔My heart is black tonight....Legend just leave this world & left us alone 😢"I look inside myself And see my heart is black I see my red door I must have it painted black Maybe then, I'll fade away And not have to face the facts It's not easy facing up When your whole world is black.... "
I was much impressed when I saw the Stones. Jagger was very professional, talking to the audience and telling them he hoped the Stones' selection of songs crossed the generations and pleased the audience. There was nothing silly or giddy about him. It was not what I expected. The performance was great. PAINT IT BLACK is a great song, possibly their best. It has a mystic, almost Arabic quality about it.
For 4 hours staright i just sit and watch these live versions with a wine glass in my hand and it feels perfect! Long life Rolling Stones and thank you for your music.
No other band ever in this world can make a crowd Go this wild with just one song That's why the Rolling Stones are the underspuded Greatest Rock Band in the world Enough said
This brings my whole body out in goosebumps! it was my favourite Stones song back in the sixties (yeah - I am that old), and this live version is even better than my old 45rpm record. (oh, that's the black disk we used to play on record players).
I'm in the same age bracket. Tell me truly: when you were 15 years old, did you ever for one second imagine that people would be listening to the same rock music 50 years hence? But even the young'uns like this stuff.
The South American audience participation reminded me of Rush's YYZ live in Rio video where the crowd starts to sing loudly to an instrumental song. Incredible passion for the music from South American fans.❤
Chi sfornava singoli a raffica erano i Beatles. I RS comunque grandi.

About this success: I am Brazilian. We Latinos are very sensitive to the melodies and rhythms of the songs. Many did not know the lyrics of this song, so the public is manifested in this way in Argentina. If I was their age and saw the Stones with "Paint it Black", I would be jumping like them. :-)
When the people that went to this concert and jumped up and down singing , are in their deathbed...they will remember being there and smile one last time.
The Stones created more amazing music in their first twenty years than the entire music industry has in the past 20. Hell I think they created more great music between 65-75 than the music industry has since 2000.
Thanks for your concerts in Mexico... My wife who had not attended one of your concerts, believes this has been one the best shows in her whole life... Something I already knew... THANKS AGAIN..
Our brokenness is universal. The dark lyrics bare that truth, but the power of the song suggests a contradiction, almost joyful. Why? Because brokenness and suffering often lead to compassion.
I m glad you re remembering Tour of Duty. Nice show from the late 80s. Glad 50% of ¨likes¨go for it. Having said that, this is a great Stones fan base.
RIP Charlie, you will never be forgotten. Thank you.
this is one of the songs where Charlie's performance is most evident. RIP Charlie! ♥

Charlie was a magnificent drummer.💜
It is hilarious how a song which was written about a depressed man who lost all enjoyment in life makes so many people happy.
Fuck the boring depressed man!
Not happy, dude. Just feeling the same way - that matters

i said it in the 60s , 70s , 80s, 90s, and 21st century --- THE ROLLING STONES ARE THE GREATEST BAND OF ALL TIME and no one even comes close .
So much a part of my 77-year old soul...I want Rolling Stones concert videos shown at my funeral...their music best defines who I am.
