    As a motorcyclist I got to know an excellent british brand called Kriega. Their backpacks are EXCEPTIONALLY comfortable to wear, specially if you're using bulky motorcycle jackets - but if well set up, they fit well over casual clothes too. They have this organizer called "Kube", which I'm going to buy for this purpose (oganizing cables) and check out if they're up to the task. Also, Eagle Creek has some very lightweight stuff, but it's a pitty they're kinda expensive and only sold in "sets". Nice video, btw.

    Your best attribute is your calm voice, that is what makes the review more enjoyable. Also the videographer does a fantastic job of bringing things into focus and out of focus back on forth to align with the commentary. Superb.

    I recently found 2 pouches by a company called Monoprice. If you don't bring a lot of cables I suggest the mini universal electronic organizer. If you bring a lot of cables then I suggest the universal electronic organizer.

    Excellent suggestions. I really like the clear zipper pouch the best. You can see at a quick glance what's missing or not. I also travel with an assortment of adapters for European outlets and the clear pouch makes it easy to see the little pieces. Love the twisty things! Must buy!

    I LOVE GearTies!! They keep the cords neat and organized, they cords don't get tangled, and I've found the cords last longer. Often times with the old way I'd wrap them up and tuck in the ends I'd wind up splitting the covering at the base. Not so with GearTies. Haven't had to replace a cord again.
    Bonus, when your hair elastic breaks the 6inch GearTies work great for ponytails. I've used the 3inch ties to do a half tie back on my hair.

    Gear Ties are awesome... They double as hair ties too! The 6 inch ones can do a quick up-do that doesn't pull and yank on your hair!

  • @sthilker
    @sthilker 11 років тому +1

    I'll have to try those ties. I've been using the Velcro option, which works ok except for when they get stuck to other stuff (the clear bag might help with that too, I'm still using the caveman approach). ;)

    Power outlet is best kept in the carry-on. I use a VERY cheap one from Home Depot or Lowes - get a 2-prong version as a 1 to 3. If you have a 3-prong charger, get an isolation plug (3 prong to 2 prong). This way if you are in an airport waiting for the next plane and the outlet is full of other people's chargers, you can use your splitter and join in the charge brigade.
    Just do not forget the splitter when you go catch the next flight.

    I personally do it a bit different when I travel. I almost always bring my laptop. So I have this one pouch that has my laptop charger, a wireless mouse, and an external hard drive inside. It goes with my laptop. I have another pouch that has my lightning cable, a micro usb cable, my powerbank that can give about 2-3 full charges on my phone, and some earphones. So these generally go with my phone and ipod. So if I'm just going out somewhere, I just carry this pouch, and if I'm going to some cafe to work on stuff on my laptop, I take both pouches.

    I just dont understand you people. If you have a laptop with usb's you can charge simutaneaously as a minimum, your phone and your watch while charging the computer at night when sleeping. To transfer files from your camera to your computer, just remove the card, load it in the computer and save them, you dont need a cable for that. Etc. etc. etc.... I never travel with more than 2 or 3 cables and only because my camera doesnot charge if plugged to usb do I have to carry its charger ! Minimal weight and stuff is the rule, not more bags on bags !
