Me i just bring boots, flip flops, sandals and sneakers/walking shoes, and flats. And its a bonus for me since my feet are small. It doesnt take much room surprisingly
I walk a lot and I really enjoy it, but I have been having problems because of the pain after a few km. Hopefully I can fins some of these here so I can walk even more! Thank you Sonia!
ABSOLUTELY agree w/ all of your tips! I just came back from Spain (and made a video about it, of course) and it proves that you only need just a few pairs of shoes. PS I love your shoes ;D
'Barefoot' style shoes (very flat and flexible) are excellent for travel. They pack much smaller than others and, once your feet are 'conditioned' to barefoot walking & running, much less tiring. No insole needed. Vivobarefoot is my fav. I have a pair of dressy black, a semi-dressy ankle boot and a running shoe with removable neoprene inner that quadruples as shower/beach/plane/slipper shoe. I only pack carry-on.
Hi Sonia. I am traveling for 1 month on February. And what I will do basically is work at the hospital and traveling on the weekends. Could you make a video on how to pack all these necessities and also the shoes to bring and how many? Thanks!
Thank you for the heal protector suggestion; I didn't realize they were a thing! I just bought 2 pairs of shoes for walking around foreign countries in and they both ripped up my ankles.. this will save me much grief and bandaids!
My last trip to ny I tried to look cute in my sandals but I think that because they were so flat my feet couldn't handle it. So I opted for my trusted havaianas, they are the most confortable shoe EVER!
Hi Sonia! For the heel protectors, I had bought some that were transparent and sticky (for many uses), but they ended up curling up and coming off. Are yours a specific material? Thanks!
I'm a guy and all I need is my one pair of adidas shoes. I mean if I'm going on beach I might decide to bring sandles but for whatever I'm doing including hiking or even fancy diners, you might not think it at first but a pair of kicks with a nice suit looks pretty cool
I noticed you never mention flip flops. I think they are essential on every trip because you need a shoe to go to the beach, to the hotel swimming pool, staying in your room and especially to use the bathroom of hotels or hostels.
I take multi purpose shoes. For instance, Timberlands/military boots: (Come rain, come sunshine, come hikes, come simple walks, come running away). Plus, they look good with skinny jeans and shorts. (These tend to be the ones, I wear on the plane. Cute ballet flats, can be dressed up, down, and anyhow. Looks cute with jeans, dresses and skirts. I've personally had a pair of tims that have lasted years! (Walking, running, motorcycling, etc) Rubber flops/crocks/slippers - I use mine for showering (I cannot shower barefoot, absolutely not), walking, going to the beach, letting your feet breath, etc. Also look good with shorts, jeans, pajamas, etc. I tend to buy the sturdy rubber ones that are a touch fashionable. I don't by the flip flop types because they break easily.
I'm going to a tropic island and I'm bringing a pair of sandals a pair of flip flops and walking shoes (vans) there super comfy and then my more bulky walking shoes/running shoes will be on my feet in the plane and I'm also bring a pair of wedges for night time :). And I'm going for 10 days is that ok or too much ?
I always pack 2-3 pairs of shoes :D yay for me lol I always prefer to pack light, you won't be seeing me with any liquid carry ons :p can't wait for more packing videos :)
going for 2 yeaars for a work and travel have to some how get from 4 pairs to 2 haha wish me luck i have work shoes going out shows for day and night like you said, flats and warm dressy casual boots
How about comfortable shoes that men can wear in the winter/rainy season? I'll be doing a study abroad program in Europe this coming winter and I've been advised to take good rain shoes that won't slip. Unfortunately, I don't know what would be a comfortable type of shoe I should take for that. Please help! :-) I love your channel. It's quite inspiring.
i love this video with good tips however did you take all of them shoes to london and your telling us th take to take two?? xx dont get me wrong youe vids are great thats just a bit wierd! xxxx
I never to seem to have a problem with shoes. It's the clothes that I always overpack. I recently caught myself packing two week's worth of clothing for a weekend trip. It's mildly ridiculous.
You talk about day and night outfits a lot... Is it common in other countries to change to go out at night (besides clubbing, I mean), or is that just your travelling style?
+Osca Alva really 3 pairs damm im under packing then i only have a pair of thongs (flip flops) that i wear on the train/plane and any pair of closed shoes
i like to travel lite 22lbs in my tom bihn 45L carryon bag sack no wheels 1 bag i never check a bag i can get over 20 outfits in it easy to get from planes train cabs. most people dont know how to pack or over pack at that

Brilliant as always, Sonia!
Glad you found it helpful!

Don't have a trip planned yet, but would love to go. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the tips. Those heel protectors look the best, I need to see where I can get them.
You need to come to Finland. I'd love to see you here :) Love your videos! They make me feel really happy, for some reason.
It's happened to all of us- Thanks for watching :)

It's pretty common to change into dressier clothes at night even if it's still casual :)
Can't wait to go to Finland! Soon, soon
Will keep it in mind :)
I love your videos! Very informative!
That sounds perfect!
Sonia, and don't know what, but you have a unusual charm that just amazes me ^^

I LOVE those short boots you recommend for traveling. WHERE DID YOU BUY THEM?!?
Hi Sonia, I'm going to Paris the first week of December and am wondering what kind of shoes/boots to bring. Thanks!
Very helpful, thank you!

2 pairs of shoes should be enough - and at least one of them should be rain-proof! :)
Awesome tips. Where r the ladies grey hi top sneakers from, they're super cool.
I always pack 2-3 pairs of shoes :D yay for me lol
I always prefer to pack light, you won't be seeing me
with any liquid carry ons :p can't wait for more packing videos :)

Forgot to mention flip flops for around the house or hotel room. I can't be barefoot even in my own house.

and then buy new ones in your destination country. :)

You should do something for students who are studying abroad if you can; I can't have three pairs of shoes for three months haha.
I never to seem to have a problem with shoes. It's the clothes that I always overpack. I recently caught myself packing two week's worth of clothing for a weekend trip. It's mildly ridiculous.
POR FIN!!!!!!!
With packing a carry on, im always worried about the weight, maybe this is a good topic to dwell on?🤗
Ever planning on visiting the Scandinavian countries?
Yes, she is, so are you
Ohhh you're awesome!! :D
I have to show this to my husband. He always packs more shoes than I do and I pack a lot of shoes.
I agree, but i'd go with dress shoes and sandals, thats all
You talk about day and night outfits a lot... Is it common in other countries to change to go out at night (besides clubbing, I mean), or is that just your travelling style?
for men the rule total is 3 pairs of shoes for 1 month of travel say euro zone
loafer LV nike running shoe and my prada flip flops .
+Osca Alva really 3 pairs damm im under packing then i only have a pair of thongs (flip flops) that i wear on the train/plane and any pair of closed shoes

how do you stain guard your shoes?
but what i can't figure out is my problem with tall boots which im pretty much obsessed with. they take up so much space!
Put rolled up jeans, T-shirts or socks in them and put them in the suitcase afterwards, so the space they take away is used perfectly :)
oh that is a great tip. thank you!!
No problem, have a safe trip :)
Rocio Iribe or you can wear those on the plane!!
True! Thank you golkoorria0
That's a lot I m OK with one pair of boots/one pair of running shoes and one pair of flats
Haha thank you for trying to speak my language! Baie dankie, klink wonderlik om dit te hoor vir 'n slag.
