I saw Charlie and the Cannonballs in person several times when I was in the Navy and stationed in Japan. He was great in the early 70's, and still sound awesome!!
I remember seeing Charlie Nagatani when I was stationed in Iwakuni in 1973. He would play at the Western Tokyo on the weekends. They went by the name the Western Cannonballs though. Some of the best CW I've heard. The one song that stands out the most vivid was the Orange Blossom Special. The Cannonball will always be in my memory. Thanks for the flashback brought a smile to my face.
