Hello everyone! Welcome to the Selfridge Open House and Air Show of 2024!
Bringing on the United States Navy F/A-18F West Coast Rhino Team and the United States Navy Legacy Flight. It has been a few years since I saw the Rhino Demo so I was all pumped out for this! Flying today's bird was LT Fernando “Bam Bam the Magic Man” Silva and LT Caleb “Lil PAB” Smith (gotta love those call signs) and Lou Horschel in the F4U Corsair. An absolute fantastic performance by the Rhino with lots of burn and burn and vape and some gorgeous elegance from the Corsair to make for a hell of a show! Enjoy the video!

What’s the difference of a Rhino and Growler?

The Rhino is primary a multirole fighter aircraft whereas the Growler is an electronic warfare aircraft. Externally, both aircraft are the same in size, the only key differences is the Growler has a plate on the nose in front of the canopy for radar jamming as well as jamming pods on the wing and wing tips which the Rhino doesn’t have.
