One of the best compliments I’ve ever gotten is when my uncle said “your house is so comfortable”. I have a very small house, less than 1200 sqft, but it’s also the hangout house, movie nights, parties, bbq’s. I think a smaller house kinda keeps everyone together and close. It can feel frustrating when you don’t have a place for everything but it just means there’s too much stuff. Now I need to declutter 😬 wish me luck
I absolutely understand this statement. I recently had some guests and their comments were "we feel so comfortable staying here". My house is just a little bigger than yours so I have to be careful what I bring in or I will be drowning. Regardless of the limited space this is the house people come to for everything and I would not have it any other way. Side note the people that come don't care about the space or the mess.

Oh, we had swinging doors to the kitchen at my grandmother's house growing up. A long forgotten but fond memory ❤
Now with all of my kids I understand WHY they were so great. I know back in the day it was for the staff to be hidden ,but what a great thing for moms to cook in peace :)

I bought a house in Tampa in 1997 because it had a swinging kitchen door which reminded me of my favorite show “Mad About You” with Paul Riser and Helen Hunt…: we loved that bungalow style of house with the crown molding and wood floors until we moved to Key West in 2010!!! I loved that house, but Tampa got too crazy busy for me, so got an opportunity to move to Key West, where my husband was born and raised, I wouldn’t change anything, I love it here!!! Simple, tiny home living now since it’s just the 2 of us, kids are grown and have their own lives to live
I can relate my kids are 22,18, and 10. Luckily I have 2 nieces around the age of my youngest but the struggle is real. My oldest is moved out, middle leaves for college in 2 months and we are trying to figure out how to keep the 10 year old busy. She is older so is able to be some what independent. We are thinking of getting her a companion pet but arent sure if she is old enough to take that on. But i have gotten creative with busy boxes and activities over the years.

You are so right about life with kids. It´s gone so fast. I´m an empty nester and although I enjoy it, I also miss those years. I would take one of the little doors with me to the paint store to colour match. Hugs from Germany 💕

Looking forward to this video Lynn❤ I did a massive declutter recently and followed the white/black rule to make sorting easier: any old clothes or things that could be recycled go in white trash bags to be donated and anything that’s trash or broken goes in black trash bags and is thrown out

I really loved this video and listening to you sharing. I understand your grief. We had to put our 13-yr-old kitty, Tippy, to sleep this last Fri. She was so sick with cancer-she couldn’t walk or keep her food down. I’ve cried for two days but felt some better today. Her sister kitty, Sasha, has been crying for her and has been very needy. Love and appreciate you and your crown mounding. And , yes, I can see the difference in the paint color.

My three children have big age gaps between them. My daughter who passed aged 28 had a 7 year age gap between herself and her brother and my youngest son had 17 years between him and his sister and 10 years between him and his brother. My point being that I never had any arguments between any of my kids as they never wanted to play with the same toys etc, also I was truly blessed to know that they adored each other and now it’s just my two boys, 31 and 41 years respectively they continue to be really close. So lucky.❤
That is every mother's dream. I love seeing my kids love on each other.

It is so good! I love decluttering but also love building that trust with my family.
I keep a smaller container in my garage for recycling and as it fills up we dump it in the big one outside.

I think karrie Lynn uses baking soda and Cocoa powder for dry shampoo. She uses a blush brush to dab it on the roots.

Try the woman’s rogaine 5% , but use the Target brand, it works great and it’s like 20 bucks cheaper.😊
