Just bought this guitar and it arrived last night. Could not put it down for the longest. It’s the same iced-tea burst color and it’s gorgeous. Bought it from dealer in Rochester and couldn’t be happier. He did a great set-up on it and I don’t even have to bring it to my usual repair tech. Just a beautiful beautiful guitar that looks great, feels great and is very playable.
I am in love with this instrument...
Beautiful jazz box. I want one!
Just picked one up. Love it. Had my go to guy remove that annoying packing strip under the bridge, and he set it up to my specs. Through a Roland JC 120, this thing sounds amazing. It is big. If you have ever played a Gretsch Falcon, yup you know. Big :) Far cry from my 1962 Ric 325.
Great post. Some tones I can hear all day...and with no listening fatigue whatsoever.
I like the sound of the master series better. Wished I had gotten my hand on one of those. I have never seen anyone turn loose of one of those on the internet maketplace for any price.
picked one up when they came out several years ago....bridge suddenly snapped. D'Anqelico sent me a replacement....pretty good guitar for the bucks....was considering buying a satin black finish....if I find a good price one I'll be on it.....
Dang that thing is huge.

How would it sound with a bit of overdrive? I wonder.
wrong guitar man
what amp you're using?
you didn't remove the packing strip from under the bridge base. what is the scoop with that? do you know if the base is even fitted to the guitar?
No it’s not fixed to the body of the guitar, the foam piece is there to prevent scratching on the finish before being sold. Bridges on these jazz guitars can be moved around when you change the strings, they simply just sit on the top, being held in place by string tension.
@@Sk8SaM47 Exactly! Just picture how a bridge is on a violin or an upright bass and these guitars also have floating bridges. Of course being guitars the string height above the fingerboard is less than the violin-bass so the wooden bridges are not as tall.
