    I still think that Brian has one of the best jobs in the world.

    I can't tell you how many times I've watched this demo. What always stands out is not just the tone of the guitar, but that it's a warm tone that is also incredibly clear. Really sets it apart even from the other fantastic arch tops Brian demos. That mini humbucker just sings and the guitar of course just has a wonderful tone.

    Nicee finally someone playing actual jazz and actual rich chords so we can hear how it sounds.
    There seems to be a lot of painfully corny blues players owning this guitar.

    It has beautiful looks and tone colours. A real jazz box, played professionally.

    Brian, you said, you prefer guitars with mounted pickups in the top. Believe me, you sound so fantastic on this floater-guitar! Your Soul is coming through that box !!!!!!!!!

    Victor Baker was making these out of his shop in Queens,ny....he told me he had to stop , d’angelico didn’t want to help to pay for expansion of his shop or pay for more help to keep up with the orders..

      tubenshaft how can some EXL -1 be $750. Others are $3,300 called by the same number?

      @@richardstanton1954 Hi there. Price difference is probably because if they are made in America or in another country.

    Not a big fan of that faded black finish or the jagged shape of that pick guard.

    Hi Bryan. I would love to hear you play. What is your name and where can I hear more of your playing? Thanks

    • @Stackobones
      @Stackobones 7 років тому

      Larry Knight His name is Brian Baggett. He's an incredibly tasteful player, and super versatile too. He's just as fun to listen to rocking out on Jacksons as he is on jazz boxes.

    Even if you could afford it, you would have to buy a cheap guitar to bring to the gig so this one can stay in the safe!

    If this is such a magnificent instrument, can anyone out there name a well-known jazz performer who has adopted it? I am guessing that it is the axe of choice among brain surgeons and hedge fund managers.

    To much talk, let the guitar do the talking instead, in other words, I love this work of art.

    This is so beautiful but I’ve never seen anything more dumb than putting volume/tone knobs on a pickguard lol

  • @Kellerkind80

    One of the most beautiful bodies I have seen. But then there are the ugly inlays and the pickguard and gold stuff. Sometimes less is more! But thats just my opinion. I am sure there are people who love this design.
