Now that's a holiday! stayed in Kilmory for a week back in 80s, fabulous time although the crossing was much harder then, had to climb off the ferry into a small open boat from Rhum mid sea to complete the journey.
Cool video, thank you very much for putting the effort into making this! I'm planning to explore Rum Island in a week together with my gf and the footage you've made is really encouraging :) Looks like the wilderness and beauty we are seeking in Scotland.
Thanks, it does seem a popular one in terms of views. I so want to get back to the small isles once again. Have you seen the Jura video? the video that started off the bothy videos I would say and still the most difficult walk to a bothy thus far.
@@BritishCoastline it's certainly perked my interest and would love to give it a go sometime. Those isolated beaches are idyllic little havens, and your Scottish coastline stuff is really interesting to me👍
About time too(joking).. It just goes to show we never really know who we're going to find when we ruck up at a bothie. Did look and sound like B.C. had a great night. The cameramanship(a new word) was mint and i don't know how you managed to blag a ride on a helicopter for the aerial shots, but you did!🤭. Out of all the wild camping folks i subscribe to yours are up amongst the best quality vidz, the scenery shots are really great and the pictures so sharp too. Thanks for sharing... Go team B.C.👍👍
Well we ended up here on a bank holiday weekend so that might have something to do with the people being present. Most of the time we have these to ourselves especially the further north you go. Oh yeh that helicopter ride was the best but it did make me nervous hanging out of the door with my camera. It's nice that you think my videos are nice. Thanks for watching... Again.
@@BritishCoastline woahh dudes.... don't run yourself down!!! M8s.i mean it when i say top drawer editing etc!!!... just look at t'other offerings..UK-wide..non slicker tha must b from yerkshire!!!👍🤘👍
Oh well, it is what it is. The UA-cam formula for success is to say cool phrases like 'what up yo' and to have video titles like 'I nearly died' oh and it helps if you upload often. I don't think I'm down with the cool kids much.
My great grandfathers family lived in Guirdil bothy until the clearances! How amazing to see it inside!
It's a beautiful location, I can't wait to get back to Scotland when they let me.
Were they related to the McKays?

It is a great escape from cicicicicivilisation momomomomodern life pressures. I'm sure you will have a great time.
You british people are so blessed with These amazing landscapes
Most people around the world think the U.K. is ugly in terms of landscapes, that’s the funny thing.
Another great little film - a memory captured for everyone to enjoy!
Yes, need to make more memories.
Great video, respect the bothy code everyone!
This is one of my favourites from your moving picture archives 👍

Looks a beautiful bothy nicely tucked away . ATB Dave 👍🏻
Indeed it was a beautiful nice bothy with great views. Perhaps Uags is next on the list or Dibidil.

An island full of infighting, corruption, cronyism, and theft ...

Yes but there is a bothy code to abide by.
