Most people classify these rc cars as toy grade, however you prove that you can make anything into a hobby! I do disagree though, there are replacement parts and many mods you can do that make me count the wpl line as hobby grade, honestly it doesn't matter whether something is hobby grade or toy grade, it's a hobby nonetheless, and what you've done with your rigs truly are part of the hobby community. no joke OUTRAGEOUS the stuff you're able to navigate through with the WPL stuff!!!!! I've been thinking about one as a budget kit build, the front rear independent geared N20 motors really does look like the way to go about it. you did 3S 200 rpm units, has me thinking 2S ( 1200mah 14500 AA size lithium ion) and 300 rpm units, a little 10-20A cheap ESC. it doesn't look like you're lacking anything at all for torque with that little beauty!
model nutty Thanks this little truck has been tons of Fun! Just make sure to use 12 volt N20 motors every now and then I used a 2s Lipo battery to drive around just for fun and it seems like it’s a little slower but still has lots of torque! One of my first C 14 videos I made I was running only a 2S Lipo and a 10A ESC and it seemed to work just fine pretty good in fact. Thanks again stay tuned for more😊
been going through this series last hour or so, twin N20's makes a lot more sense than a single lower RPM FK-180 and stock gearbox, it's a lot of weight save to help un-stress harder brittle plastic stuff, lots steadier and lower speed torque delivery
for giggles, have a toy YY300 on the way, they're about $28 at BangGood right now, all bang-bang steering BUT, it's at both ends with 4 modes!! also got 4 of the lower RPM rated FK-130 motors, more torque (under $5 for 4) for swapping out the cheezier mabuchi 130 toy motors. also for curiosity giggles a couple sets of WPL's soft tires. I'd decided jjrc's Q15 was a $20 mistake, but the higher torque FK-130's (3) did a lot for it. gonna slap it a set of soft tires and hand it off to my neice, she'll be thrilled and drive it over everything in sight lol. there's like one full review of that YY300 if you look. what it'll do for its price, geez!
model nutty Yeah I just watched some of the videos of the YY 300 and I think I just might get one too they look like they’re pretty fun I guess the guy said they go like 20 km an hour that’s pretty decent👍
