The biggest problem is they are building homes without building the infrastructure , I have worked for over 55 years and pagham , west sussex, has given building permission for thousands of houses on PRIME agricultural land that was a SAXON VILLAGE without connection to main Drainage , using SESS pits to get over the fact The drains are overflowing when it rains so passing the problem over to Southern Water who pump RAW SEWAGE directly into the sea next to a Holiday Resort beach WHich was once The Kings Beach mentioned on his deathbed.
i really fear for my country its beautiful way of life and beautiful nature and landscape. this is all going to pot and very fast ! i voted Reform and would again i am so anxious now but part of me thinks what is the point in voting with this present election system and why wait 5 years for goodness sake our country will be full of immigrants with sectional voting and we brits will see it is too late to change. 75 million on this tiny island ... i feel like i just want to leave now.

My daughter now in her 40s and born in a council property was told 10 years ago to stop bidding as she would never get a council property.. it makes me sick that everyone and anyone can get one but she can’t

As the sewage pipe burst outside my house due to too many houses I am not a Nimby.
That is all very well, but in Kent town I live in we have one doctor's surgery, one NHS dentist, no supermarkets and a one bus an hour transport system and no railway system. The nearest railway station is a one bus ride a way. I am unemployed and can't afford a car unlike the majority of unemployed. It's all very well building more homes here but what about the infrastructure. Our Dr' s surgery is run by a practice about 30 miles away and getting an appointment is impossible.
You should only own a house if you live in it period..
I agree. Unfortunately there are many homes in the UK which are owned by people who live abroad and private landlords who own 5+ properties who charge extortionate rents to tenants so the landlords don't have to pay out for their mortgages from their own pockets.

My parents used to live on the isle of wight and some of the wealthy villages are hugely NIMBY. sadly they moved now, they retired to the island but have left as it's becoming overcrowded due to mass house building, the has lost it's character and soul to add the unreliable ferry firms that charge a small mortgage to cross a couple of miles of water and everything is set up for the wealthy 2 people and a dog. Not an average family holiday location.

Milliband did a video claiming hes "overturned the onshore windfarm BAN".... but, the ban never officially existed.
Because of the planning laws, just one local objection could deny planning permission being granted for the windfarm. So Millibands "overturning the BAN", literally means Labour will override local residents objections to its "green energy" plans by changing planning laws.

Disagree, England is full, green belt should be protected, there is lack of green spaces,we have increased floodling due to more houses being built and there is no infrastructure to support the houses. What is the point of local authorities if they can be overruled. Local governments are there to listen to their residents.
The rental properties will only serve landlords & at the cost of taxpayers not the citizens. Unless we have council housing, not profit making housing. We have seen how landlords respond to markets & unethically profiteering.
Hello Isabell I’m 82 with all my faculties and supposedly labour are giving us some more money but they are allowing insurance companies to take it away ,I have never had a claim and abide by the law .so why can’t the put a cap on what insurance companies can charge because the are taking away our indépendance and they are hitting the easiest target it’s not our fault everyone else is having accidents please have a shout about it your the only one that makes sense ❤❤❤

I am a pensioner on benefit and my landlord said I am the best tenant she has ever had. I keep the cottage and garden pristine so don't bunch all of us on benefits as unworthy. I also have a dog who is my constant companion and my landlird is delighted for me to have him.

I’ve said for many years, why dont they build one house each side of every field gateway, wouldnt be far from utilities, and it would ensure that all are seeing a bit of green field, instead of building high density homes turning towns into ghettos, it would also keep most of the land open for agriculture. They are building a new village next to where i live where our houses are valued at 20 to 80 thousand. the cheapest house there is 200 thousand how can we afford one of these new houses.

Housing developments are being built further from town centers. No bus services, schoolt etc, how will new house owners cope with 'affordable' housing, car restraints to work places and no doorstep health or shopping services.

What did you think labour would do when back in power? It’s the same as the last labour government and every labour government before them. The will take everything from the working people, and waste it on the illegal immigrants and foreigners in the uk.
You will be taxed until you have no time to yourself as you will be working all the time. You will not get time to see what labour are doing because your be working long hours. Your wages will stay the same and not go up because they have imported illegal immigrants who will get benefits and work at the same time. They will still get full benefits when working. But you try the same and your benefits will be deducted to show that you worked.
You will have to make time to use food banks, because they will tax you so much. You will be second class in your own country, you will own nothing, you will put your children in state run schools so they can be indoctrinated to accept the labour way of life.

The problem is that the houses that are built in each area does not go to housing local people, they bring in peoplle from outside the area while the local people remain on the housing weaiting list or have to remain living with parents because they can't afford the price of the houses.
They built affordable housing all over our little village and gave the rental to an outside council and the price of the houses were well beyond the pocket of local people

A fact of life is that whilst we do not build sufficient housing to meet own own needs let alone the needs of all the immigrants that are being let in prices will stay high because of “Supply and demand” if there were more houses that people this would be a different place, it’s all driven by greed and “yes but not in my back yard”. Is there actually a calculation done by the government that actually tells everyone what population the country can sustain, and what infrastructure is needed.
